864,216. Tractor-trailer hitches. LAURENT, A. July 7, 1959 [July 25, 1958], No. 23226/59. Class 103(5). A tractor-trailer hitch comprises a triangular frame, Fig. 1, extending from one of the vehicles and supporting a ball socket 7, a rectangular frame 15, Fig. 3, extending from the other vehicle, and a third middle frame 12 adjustably fixed by bolts 14 to the frame 15 to vary the height of a ball 11 adapted to engage with the socket 7. The side arms of the triangular frame are shock absorbers and are pivoted to brackets 3, 3<SP>1</SP> which may be adjustably positioned in holes 2 in a transverse member 1.
