1 Blatt Zeichnungen

layers (2, 3, 4) and the aluminum foil (5) are connected to one another by an adhesive.
6. tent wall according to claim 1, characterized in that the tent canvas (1), the insulating material layer or
layers (2, 3, 4) and the aluminum foil (5) are connected to one another by mechanical means (6, 7).
The invention relates to a heat-insulating tent wall intended for the construction of tents for civil or military purposes.
The tent walls previously used for the purposes mentioned only offer protection against wind, atmospheric precipitation and, to a limited extent, against solar radiation, but have practically no heat-insulating effect.
It is therefore the object of the invention to create a tent wall which has a relatively high heat transfer resistance and therefore enables the construction of thermally insulated tents.
The tent sheet solving this problem is characterized according to the invention in that a tent canvas, at least one insulating material layer made of foam and / or fleece and an aluminum foil are sandwiched one above the other and are at least selectively connected to one another.
With the tent wall according to the invention, a relatively good insulation against heat conduction is achieved by the insulating material layer and a reflection of the incident heat rays is achieved by the aluminum foil, while the tent canvas provides the necessary mechanical strength of the tent wall and, as before, for weather protection.
The tent wall designed in this way is expediently used in cold climate zones in such a way that the tent canvas is on the outside and the heat-reflecting aluminum foil on the inside of the tent walls and / or the tent roof. Then the body heat radiated by the occupants of the tent is reflected back against the inside of the tent by means of the reflective aluminum foil, so that a pleasant temperature is felt after a short stay in the tent, even at very low outside temperatures.
At the same time, the insulating material layer prevents the heat absorbed by the aluminum foil from being released to the outside atmosphere without hindrance.
In hot climate zones, on the other hand, the tent wall is advantageously used the other way round, so that the heat-reflecting aluminum foil is on the outside and the canvas on the inside of the tent walls and the tent roof. In this way, during the day, the reflective aluminum foil provides a much better shielding against solar radiation and the insulating material layer provides relatively good insulation against heat transmission. During the cold hours of the night, the insulating material layer serves as protection against excessive cooling inside the tent.
Further features and details of the tent wall emerge from the patent claims, from the following description of exemplary embodiments and from the drawing, in which part of a tent wall designed according to the invention is illustrated purely, for example, in cross section.
The tent wall shown in the drawing is designed as follows: a tent canvas 1, a first insulating material layer 2 made of a synthetic or natural fiber fleece, a second insulating material layer 3 made of an elastically flexible synthetic or natural foam, a third insulating material layer 4 made of a synthetic or natural fiber fleece and an aluminum foil 5 are sandwiched one on top of the other and connected to one another at points by stitching using string 6 and anchor plates 7. The aluminum foil 5 has a heat-reflecting surface 5a, at least on its side facing away from the insulating material layers 2 to 4.
The fleece layers 2 and 4 are preferably formed from resilient fibers so that these layers do not collapse and always suck in air between the fibers in the unloaded state. The aluminum foil 5 is therefore expediently provided with air passage perforations 8. The total thickness of the insulating material layers 2, 3 and 4 depends on the intended use of the tent wall and on the desired thermal insulation; it is, for example, 1 to 5 cm, preferably 2 to 4 cm. The strength of the tent canvas 1 and the aluminum foil 5 depends on the requirements for durability and the weight of the tent sheet.
In a modification of the illustrated embodiment, only a single insulating material layer made of flexible foam or a fiber fleece can be present between the tent canvas 1 and the aluminum foil 5, the thickness of the insulating material layer being selected according to the requirements for thermal insulation. However, it is also possible and in certain cases advantageous to provide two or more layers of foam or fleece made of different materials between the canvas 1 and the aluminum foil 5. To increase the tear strength of the aluminum foil, it can be coated with a plastic covering, in particular on its side facing the insulating material layers 2, 3 and 4. B. made of polyester.
It is also possible to apply the aluminum foil to a mechanically stronger, flexible carrier layer, such as, for. B. a textile fabric or a film made of plastic material to laminate.
Instead of using string 6 and anchor washers 7, the various layers 1 to 5 of the tent wall can just as well be connected to one another by rivets, seams or welds. Instead of this, or in addition, it is also possible to connect the various layers 1 to 5 of the tent sheet to one another using adhesives.
When using the tent wall described and shown in the drawing for the formation of the walls and the roof of a tent, the tent canvas 1 is arranged on the outside and the aluminum foil 5 with the reflective surface 5a on the inside in order to provide optimal protection in cold climates of the tent occupants against the weather and cold. In hot climates, however, it is more advantageous to use the tent wall in the reverse order. 1 sheet of drawings
