Description

Tape for covering joints The invention relates to a tape for covering joints from components.

It is always necessary to cover these joints in structures that often have expansion joints. It is particularly important to cover the joints when building panels, so-called sandwich panels, are used, whereby it should be noted that such building panels are now also used to form flat roofs.

It is known to fill these joints with any pourable, viscoplastic materials even after solidification, but these materials are often plastic again in extreme heat, i.e. when exposed to sunlight, or they become brittle and brittle when it is very cold, i.e. in winter.

Attempts have also been made to cover such joints with rubber and similar materials, but such a cover is not of great durability, since both rubber and various other materials age.

The purpose of the invention is to eliminate the above disadvantages. The tape according to the invention for covering joints of components is characterized in that a tape made of thermoplastic material is seen ver on its two longitudinal edges, on one side, each with a laminated strip of a self-adhesive, a cover strip made of easily peelable material placed over these strips is. From the cover tape can adhere well and firmly with the self-adhesive edges on the building boards, so that no take off, z.

   B. by wind, can be done. In addition, it can be stretchable in all directions, so that it can also give way if the heat conditions change very significantly.

Embodiments of the tape according to the invention are explained in more detail with reference to the drawings. 1, la, 2 and 2a show two bands 1, 1 'under different widths. Much wider ribbons can also be made and used.

The plastic strips can consist of a polyisobutylene. They are preferably made from an elastomer, for example a butyl rubber.

On the two longitudinal edges strips 4, 5 and 4 ', 5' of a self-adhesive are laminated, which are covered with a cover strip 2, 3 and 2 ', 3' made of an easily peelable material, which is then when the masking tape is in use be pulled off.
