Fig. 1 eine Vorderansicht und
Fig. 2 eine Seitenansicht eines Bremsorgans.

The invention relates to an abseiling device with a braking element which interacts with the rope by friction, which abseiling device can be used in mountain sports or for rescuing house fires or the like.
A descender is known in which a cylindrical roller which can be rotated in one direction of rotation and lockable in the other direction of rotation is arranged on a base plate. A rope, to which a person is attached, is looped around this role one or more times. Strict attention must be paid to the direction of wrap. A layman also does not know the necessary number of wraps around the role. This is a major disadvantage because serious manipulations can occur, especially at the moment of danger, such as B. Wrong direction of winding. Another disadvantage is the uncertainty of the locking device against rotation.
Another abseiling device has one of three rings connected to one another on its circumference. Here, too, the type of looping or the passage through the rings is not clearly defined, which has a catastrophic effect in the event of incorrect manipulation.
The aim of the invention is a device that is simple and safe to use.
This is achieved with a descender of the type mentioned at the outset, which is characterized in that the braking element has a plate with a suspension hook on which at least three, preferably four, fixed axially parallel pins are attached on one side, over which the rope is at least partially looped .
The drawing shows an embodiment of a descender. Show it
Fig. 1 is a front view and
Fig. 2 is a side view of a braking member.
The abseiling device according to the invention can be used in a known manner, a) by placing the braking element shown on a rope attached to a fixed point, along which rope the braking element, which directly carries the load, slides down against the frictional force on the braking element, or b) by attaching it in reverse of the braking member shown at a fixed point, the rope to which the load is attached slides through with a brake.
In the drawing, the rope inserted into the braking element is denoted by 1. The braking element consists of the plate 2, which on its upper end side has a hole 3 for fastening to a fixed point and on its lower end side has a suspension hook 4 for suspending the load. Furthermore, the plate has four axially parallel pins 5, 5 ′ aui, which are anchored firmly and non-rotatably on the plate 1. The pins 5, 5 'preferably have a concave lateral surface. Two pins 5 or 5 'are arranged in pairs one above the other, the two pairs lying next to one another so that the rope
1 can be guided over the pin as shown and wraps around the pin by at least half the circumference. 6 shows the line of this looping path recorded on the plate 2. This line can e.g.
B. red, while a green line 6 '- shown in dashed lines in Fig. 1 - shows a variant in which only two pins are wrapped around at least half the circumference. The two pins are used more to change direction than to brake.
The upper and lower cable guides 7, 8 each consist of a corkscrew-like screw thread 7 into which the cable can be wound and unwound and slides therein. The head end of the brake screw 9 mounted in the bracket 90 is directed against the lower cable guide 8.
To abseil a person, the upper end of the rope 1 is attached to a hook or other fixed point. After the rope has looped into the upper rope guide 7, the rope is laid along the drawn looping path 6 from the end face of the pins around the pins 5, 5 ', 5, 5' and then into the sliding guide 8. So this is all done without a special threading of a rope end being necessary. The insertion of the rope is easy to accomplish and cannot lead to incorrect manipulation. The braking element is removed by extending it to the side. The concave design of the pins 5, 5 'and the rope guides 7, 8 prevent the rope from shearing sideways when abseiling.
The person to be roped down now attaches their seat belt or chair to the lower hook 4 of the plate 2. By regulating the pressure of the screw 9 against the rope inserted in the rope guide 8, the sliding speed can be set or the rope can be stopped. The stronger the braking effect on the lower end of the rope, the tighter the rope surrounds the pins. The sliding friction increases. It is important that the braking element can be attached to or removed from any part of the rope. Instead of actuating the brake screw, a slight pull on the rope is sufficient to stop the sliding.
A complete descender for use as a rescue device in the event of a fire breaking out in houses consists of a rope, seat belt or armchair, braking device and a hitching device for the rope or braking device.
