Abstract
The apparatus inspects and measures the state of the suspension of an axle assembly of a motor vehicle. It comprises two measurement probes (1) fixed by a sucker (3) to the two front wings of the vehicle. The probes are arranged for measuring an acceleration along a direction of a moving mass (17) via an electric charge produced by the deformation of a piezoelectric plate in contact with the moving mass and stored in a capacitor. A reading device, to which the probes are connected, makes it possible to display the measured state of the suspension via the reading of the electric charge stored in the capacitor of the probe. The apparatus also makes it possible to measure the play in the steering of a vehicle. <IMAGE>
