Abstract

The grenade comprises a hollow charge and anti-personnel effect means formed by balls (a) embedded in a body (b) consisting of a strong material which is compatible with the explosive of the charge (c). The body (b) is enclosed in a reinforcement consisting of a rear closure part (d) for the charge and by the posterior part (e1) of the ogive (e) which partially covers the closure part (d). The body (b) is advantageously adhesively bonded onto the rear closure (d). A mechanically strong assembly is thus obtained. The front end of the assembly is closed by the hollow charge coating (f) which is advantageously adhesively bonded onto the body (b). A screen (g) made from an inert material is interposed between the primer unit (h) and the coating (f) in order to improve the performances of thee hollow charge. The grenade is intended to be launched by a flat-trajectory weapon. <IMAGE>
