7. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that the heat exchanger has a heat insulation layer (26) on the outside.
The invention relates to a device for extracting heat from the combustion gases of a hot water heating system by means of a heat exchanger arranged in the line for discharging the combustion gases, the supply line and discharge of which are connected to the network of the hot water heating system.
It is known that, in a hot water heating system, the combustion gases flowing out of the boiler are first passed through a pipe known as a smoke pipe and then into the chimney for discharge to the outside. These combustion gases usually have a temperature that is often significantly higher than that which would be required to maintain a sufficient chimney draft, and the adjustment of which would require considerable control means in the boiler. There has therefore been no lack of proposals to recover the heat removed in the combustion gases in another way. It is known, for example, in the line for the discharge of the combustion gases to the outside, i.
for example in the flue pipe or in the chimney to install a heat exchanger in the form of a tubular heat exchanger, which has the shape of a pipe coil, for example.
This is connected in a suitable manner to the pipe network of the heating system and is used to extract heat from the combustion gases and feed it to the heating system. The disadvantage of these designs is that the free cross-section of the line is used to remove the combustion gases to accommodate the heat exchanger, which not only reduces this cross-section, but also the maintenance of this line system, e.g. for the Russians, is made more difficult.
The invention is based on the object of designing a device of the type described at the beginning in such a way that the heat exchanger for the extraction of heat from the combustion gases does not or only insignificantly reduces the free cross-section and nevertheless good heat transfer to the medium circulating in the heat exchanger is guaranteed .
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the heat exchanger is arranged in the wall of the line formed by a smoke pipe and a chimney for the discharge of the combustion gases and forms part of the free passage of this line with its inner wall.
The invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing with the aid of some schematic exemplary embodiments and is described below. Show it:
1 shows a schematic representation of the installation of a heat exchanger in the wall of the smoke pipe of a heating boiler.
2 shows a schematic representation of a heat exchanger arranged in the foot part of a chimney,
3 shows a schematic representation of a heat exchanger which is arranged in the chimney wall and forms part of a chimney element,
4 shows a schematic representation of a heat exchanger which is used as an insert in an already existing chimney, and
Fig. 5 & 6 two examples of the circuit of the heat exchanger with the heating system.
The heating system partially shown in Fig. 1 comprises a boiler 1, a smoke tube 2 for the discharge of the flue gases into a Kmin 3 and a flow line 4 and a return line 5. The smoke tube 2 has a central part designed as a heat exchanger 6, during which directly on Kettle 1 adjoining end part 7 and the end part 8 opening into the chimney 3 is each provided with a plaster cover 9. The wall 10 of the chimney 3 is supported on a foundation part 11, above which a soot door 12 is arranged.
The heat exchanger located between the end parts 7, 8 of the flue pipe 2 is designed as an annular space and has an inner pipe 15 and an outer pipe 16, with end caps 17, 18 forming the two-sided closure of the annular space and at the same time with flanges 19, 20 of the end parts 7, 8 in a known manner, e.g. connected by screws. The heat exchanger 6 designed in this way has a feed line 21 through which, for example, cooler medium passes into the heat exchanger 6 and, after flowing through the cavity through a discharge line 22, leaves the heat exchanger 6. The heat exchanger 6 is connected with the lines 21, 22 to the line network of the heating system, which is represented by the line 4, 5. If necessary, the heat exchanger 6 is supported by supports 23, 24 from a base 25, for example a cellar floor.
The outer tube 16 is expediently surrounded by an insulation layer 26 in order to avoid heat losses as far as possible.
By installing the heat exchanger 6 in the flue pipe 2, the maintenance of the system is not impaired in any way. The inner tube 15 of the heat exchanger 6 here forms part of the smoke tube 2.
In Fig. 2, as in Fig. 1, approximately the same part of a heating system is shown schematically, which is why the same reference numerals are used for the same parts. The boiler 1 is connected to the chimney 3 by a smoke pipe 2 and also has lines 4, 5 for the circulation of the heating medium. In the chimney wall 10 formed from stones 13, a heat exchanger 6 is arranged in the foundation part 11 of the chimney 3. It is designed essentially the same as that in Fig.
1 in the smoke pipe 2 arranged heat exchanger 6, wherein in FIG. 2 the heat exchanger 6 forms part of the chimney 3.
The inner tube 15 here forms the inner wall of the chimney 3, while the outer tube 16 delimits the heat exchanger on the outside and is surrounded by an insulation layer 26.
The covers 17, 18 close the heat exchanger 6 at the front
tig off. The supply line 21 is on the underside and the discharge line 22 is on the top of the heat exchanger 6. The lines 21, 22 are connected to the lines 4, 5 in a manner to be explained.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the heat exchanger 6 is part of a chimney element 14 which can conveniently be used in new buildings. The chimney element 14 has the heat exchanger 6 on the inside, which is surrounded on the outside by an insulating layer (not shown) and then, for example, by a fireclay wall. The heat exchanger 6 here has the same height as the chimney element, for example floor height. It is thus possible to form the chimney 3 by such chimney elements, one chimney element after the other being placed on the foundation part 11. In FIG. 3, two chimney elements 14 are arranged, the heat exchangers 6 of which each have a feed line 21 and a discharge line 22.
The fireplace element according to FIG. 3 can, for example, have a square or rectangular outer shape; the heat exchanger 6 with its end covers can be preferably circular on the inside and circular, square or rectangular on the outside.
FIG. 4 shows an embodiment of the heat exchanger 6 which is particularly suitable for use in existing chimneys 3. The heat exchanger 6 is designed as an insert which can be lowered into the chimney 3 from above and is supported with struts 27 on the bottom of the foundation part 11 so that the entry of the smoke pipe 2 is exposed. The heat exchanger 6 designed as an insert has, for example, a square tube 16 as an outer wall and a circular tube 15 as an inner wall, which tubes are closed off by frontal covers. The two tubes 15, 16 pushed one inside the other create a ring-shaped container which, however, has unequal wall spacings due to the unequal shape of the inner and outer tubes 15, 16. Otherwise, its function is the same as in the embodiments described above.
The supply line 21 enters the heat exchanger 6 designed as a container on the underside of the insert, while the discharge line 22 is arranged at the upper end of the heat exchanger 6. The insert can also have different cross-sectional shapes and be adapted to the shape of the fireplace.
The heat exchanger 6 can be connected in various ways to the pipe system of the heating system. In Fig. 5 and 6 two possibilities are shown. In Fig. 5, the line 4 is the flow line and the line 5 is the return line. The feed line 21 branches off from the return line 5 to the heat exchanger 6, the discharge line 22 of which opens into the feed line 4. The cooled heating medium entering via the feed line 21 is heated in the heat exchanger by the combustion gases fed into the chimney and fed to the flow line 4 in a heated state, which means that less heat has to be generated in the boiler 1. In this arrangement, the heat exchanger 6 is connected in parallel to the two lines 4, 5 of the boiler 1.
In Fig. 6, the heat exchanger 6 and the boiler 1 of the heating system are connected in series. The return line 5 merges into the feed line 21 to the heat exchanger 6, while the discharge line 22 forms the return line into the boiler 1. It is of course possible to provide a connecting line 29, shown in dashed lines, with a control valve 30 between the flow line 4 and the return line 5 in order to change the flow of the return medium through the heat exchanger 6. Such a connecting line can of course also be provided in an embodiment according to FIG.
The annular space of the heat exchanger 6 shown in the figures can have different cross-sectional shapes and both inside and outside, e.g. be rectangular, square or round.
It is essential that the device described to improve the heat balance of a hot water heating system can be installed with relatively little effort in both existing systems and in new buildings and does not make operation difficult in any way, but enables a noticeable reduction in operating costs.
