In
In
The invention relates to a frame for a luminaire, in particular for a built-in luminaire that can be expanded to form a surface-mounted luminaire, which is connected to the housing of the luminaire and includes this on the longitudinal and front sides.
There are known frames for lights whose frame sides are welded, screwed or riveted together at one or more joints. The manufacture of such a frame is only possible with the use of machines or tools; H. the manufacturing effort is relatively high. Another disadvantage is that the connecting means may be visible. Furthermore, it is disadvantageous that the finished frame, which is only optionally required for a lamp, takes up a relatively large amount of space and therefore on the one hand considerable storage space is required and on the other hand complex packaging is required. Though there are lights known whose outer shape directly forms the frame contour, such lights can only be used as surface-mounted lights and cannot also be used as built-in lights.
The invention is based on the object of creating a frame for a lamp which is easy to manufacture, which requires little storage space and little packaging material and which can be used as a universal housing for built-in and surface-mounted lamps.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the frame sides only form individual parts that are plugged together and latched and that are mutually symmetrically shaped at the front ends.
The individual parts can have bevels directed towards the inside of the frame on the long sides for reinforcement and have symmetrically arranged bent tabs on both front ends which form an angle with the long side which corresponds to half the corner angle of the frame and which in turn over part of their length in opposite directions Direction can have bent tabs at half the corner angle.
The invention is explained in more detail using the drawing, for example.
Fig. 1 shows a recessed luminaire with a frame expanding it into a surface-mounted luminaire, while in
Fig. 2 shows two interlocking items of the frame are shown. In
Fig. 3 is a plan view of a corner of the assembled frame parts shown.
FIG. 4 shows two individual parts of the frame which can be plugged together and which are modified compared to the embodiment according to FIG. In
FIG. 5 is a top view of a corner of the assembled frame parts according to FIG. 4.
For installation in suspended ceilings, a lamp 1 according to FIG. 1 is used, which protrudes with its housing into the free space between the suspended ceiling and the actual concrete ceiling. Its edge is flush with the panels of the suspended ceiling. Should such a lamp also be used as a so-called surface-mounted lamp, d. H. be arranged outside the ceiling, it is provided with a frame 2, which conceals the housing, which is designed only for reasons of expediency. The frame is placed on the housing and fastened to it in such a way that it is flush or almost flush with the underside of the housing. The frame 2 consists of four individual parts, namely the two longitudinal sides 3 and the two transverse sides 4. The individual frame parts 3 and 4 are merely plugged together and locked together.
Each individual frame part has bevels 3a and 4a, which are directed towards the inside of the frame and serve for stiffening, on its longitudinal sides. At the front ends, kinked tabs 3b and 4b are provided, which form an angle with the side surfaces which corresponds to half the corner angle of the frame. In the illustration according to FIG. 3 it can be seen that the corner angle a is 90 "and the angle is kinked flaps 1/2 a is 45 ". Over part of their length, the tabs 3b and 4b have plug-in tabs 3c and 4c, respectively, which are bent back at half the corner angle in the opposite direction to the direction in which the tabs are bent. With the edge of the tabs, the tabs each form an insertion slot 3d or 4d. Equidistant from the center lines 3e resp.
4e, latching lugs 3f and 4f and latching openings 3g and 4g are provided on the tabs. The tabs, the locking openings and the locking lugs on the front ends of the individual parts are each to the center line 3e and 3e on the two front ends.
4e arranged reversed. The individual parts of the frame are plugged together in the manner shown in FIG.
When plugging together, the tabs 3b and 4b come to rest and the tabs 3c and 4c interlock with their slots 3d and 4d. In the end position, the lugs 3f and 4f each lock into the locking openings 4g and 3g, respectively.
All four individual parts of the frame can be put together without tools in this way.
The individual parts 13 and 14 according to FIGS. 4 and 5 used to produce a lamp frame are completely identical, apart from the length, with regard to their remaining shape. The front ends are each formed antisymmetrically so that the plugging together of the individual parts can only take place in one position, just as in the embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 3. On the longitudinal sides of the individual frame parts, bevels 13a and 14a are provided which are directed towards the inside of the frame and serve for reinforcement. The front ends are provided with bent tabs 13b and 14b, which form an angle with the side surfaces which corresponds to half the corner angle of the frame.
The flaps 13b and 14b are provided at both ends with insertion pockets 13c and 14c, respectively, which are bent back at half the corner angle in the opposite direction to the direction in which the flaps are bent. With the edge of the tabs, the push-in tabs each form an insertion slot 13d or 14d. The push-in tabs have locking tongues 13h and 14h that are bent parallel to the longitudinal direction of the frame part towards the adjacent part. The length of these locking tongues is such that the ends of the individual parts when they are plugged together reach up to the adjacent frame parts.
The tabs 13b and 14b have locking tabs 13m and 14m punched out on one side in a recess 13k. The locking tabs are twisted.
When the individual parts 13 and 14 of the frame are put together, the part 13 is brought up to the part 14 in such a way that the slots 13d can engage in the slots 14d. When pushed together, the ends of the locking tabs 13m and 14m slide past one another. The length of the locking tabs is dimensioned in such a way that, when the individual parts are completely plugged together, they face each other with their twisted ends and thereby prevent the parts from sliding apart. The locking tongues rest on the walls of the neighboring parts and ensure the necessary stability of the frame. They prevent the individual parts from being bent out of their right-angled position during assembly.
Should this happen due to excessive pressure, the individual parts of the frame still cannot disengage because the twisted locking tabs secure the frame parts over a relatively large angle.
The frame according to the invention is particularly advantageous because of the tool-free assembly, because it can also be easily assembled on site, that is, by the buyer. The individual parts make storage problem-free and are also inexpensive to transport because of the small packaging space. In the assembled state, the fasteners of the individual parts are invisible, so that the frame has an attractive appearance because of the completely identical Eckenaus education. The embodiment according to FIGS. 4 and 5 is a little cheaper than that according to FIGS. 2 and 3, because the assembled frame is more stable before assembly with the lamp and the locking of the individual parts cannot be released by forceful bending.
