EMI1.4

EMI1.1
where X is a direct bond or a low molecular weight alkylene group or alkyleneoxy group with a low molecular weight alkylene radical, one Y is a hydrogen atom, and the other Y is the sulfonic acid group, Z is a halogen atom, R, and R2 is each a hydrogen atom or a low molecular weight alkyl radical and A is an alkylene or arylene radical , characterized in that 1-amino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-3,6 or 4,6-disulfonic acid, 2,4,6-trihalogen.s-triazines and alkylene or arylenediamines of the formula H (R1) NAN (R2) H (2) by condensation to give compounds of the formula
EMI1.2
combined, whereby the order of the partial reactions can be chosen freely,
and the compounds of formula (3) dit diazo components of formula
EMI1.3
combined by coupling to form fiber-reactive azo dyes of the formula (1)
As a bridge link X is especially an aliphatic bridge link with a short chain into consideration, such as. B. the ethylene or methylenoxy group, but in particular X is a direct bond. Particularly valuable dyes of the formula (1) are those in which the HOOC-X- group is in the meta or para position to the azo group. Y is preferably hydrogen in the a-position and the sulfonic acid group in the s-position. The halogen atom Z is above all a bromine or especially chlorine atom.
Low molecular weight alkyl radicals are to be understood as meaning alkyl radicals with no more than six carbon atoms. A can be an alkylene radical with a shorter or longer chain, e.g. B. an ethylene or hexylene radical, but preferably A is a benzene radical, especially the m- or p-phenylene radical.
An important subgroup of the bis-reactive disazo dyes of the formula (1) are the dyes of the formula
EMI1.4
wherein A is an m- or p-phenylene radical
The condensations can be carried out in any order.
The dyes can be obtained by using cyanuric halides with-1-amino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-3, & or 4,6-disulfonic acid to give compounds of the formula
EMI2.1
reacts, the latter is condensed with amines of the formula H (R) NAN (R2) H (2), the condensation products obtained are reacted with trihalo-1,3,5-triazines, a halogen atom of the dihalotriazine residue formed by condensation with l-amino8-hydroxy- naphthalene-3,6- or 4,6-disulfonic acid exchanged for the corresponding radical, and after the condensations, by coupling with diazo compounds from amines of the formula (4), the disazo compounds in question are formed. The bis-reactive azo compounds are also obtained if in the A diamine already monoacylated with a trihalo-1,3,5-triazine is used instead of a diamine of the formula (2).
Another variant of the preparation consists in that the l-amino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-3,6- or 4,6-disulfonic acid is mixed with a compound of the formula
EMI2.2
condensed and combined after the condensation with diazo compounds from amines of the formula (4).
In the above formulas (2) to (4), (6) and (7), the symbols X, Y, Z, Ro and R2 and A have the meanings given in the explanation of the formula (1).
As starting materials of formula (4) come z. B. the following aminocarboxylic acids into consideration: ss42-aminophenylfipropionic acid, ss43-aminophenyl} propionic acid, ss44-aminophenylspropionic acid, y- (2-aminophenyl> butyric acid, ss44-aminophenylfbutyric acid, ss43-amino-phenylkisobutyric acid , y- (2-aminophenoxytbutyric acid, a <4-aminophenoxy> propionic acid, 44-aminophenoxyXbutyric acid, but especially 2-, 3- or 4-aminobenzoic acid, 2; 3- or 4-amino- phenylacetic acid, 2-, 3- or 4-aminophenoxyacetic acid.
The diazotization of these amines takes place according to conventional methods with the aid of z. B. sodium nitrite and mineral acids, and the coupling with the l-amino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-3,6- or 4,6-disulfonic acid is also carried out according to methods known per se in an aqueous alkaline medium.
The following acylating agents may be mentioned: 2,4,6-trichloro (-tribromo- or trifluoro-> 1,3,5-triazine.
The condensations according to the invention are expediently carried out using acid-binding agents such as sodium carbonate or sodium hydroxide and under such conditions that exchangeable halogen atoms still remain in the finished product, i.e. H. z. B. in organic solvents or at relatively low temperatures in aqueous media.
Starting materials of the formula (2) are amines with an acyclic or cyclic radical, in particular with an aliphatic alkyl radical or with an aromatic radical. As amines with an aliphatic alkyl radical are, for. B. the ethylenediamine, the 1,3-diaminopropane, the hexamethylenediamine and piperazine called.
As starting materials of the formula (2), m- or p-diaminobenzenes are particularly suitable, which are replaced by halogen atoms, such as. B. chlorine or bromine atoms, alkyl groups, such as. B. the methyl, ethyl or isopropyl group or can be substituted by carboxyl or sulfonic acid groups.
Examples include: 1,3- or 1,4-diaminobenzene, 2,4-diaminotoluene, 1,3- or t, 4-diaminobenzene-2-carboxylic or sulfonic acid, 1,3-diamino-2,4, 6-trimethylbenzene, 1,4-diamino-2,3,5,6-tetramethylbenzene, 1,3-diamino4-methoxybenzene, 1,3-diamino4-chlorobenzene, 1,3-diamino4-nitrobenzene, 4,4'-diaminostilbene , 4,4-diaminodiphenylmethane, benzidine, 3,3'-dimethyl-benzidine, 3,3'-dimethoxy-benzidine, 3,3'-dichloro-benzidine, 3,3'-dicarboxy-benzidine, 3,3'-dicarboxymethoxy benzidine, 2,2'-dimethyl-benzidine, diphenylin, 3,3'-dimethylnaphthidine.
The new azo compounds of the formula (1) can be used as dyes. They can be isolated and processed into usable dry dye preparations. Isolation is preferably carried out at the lowest possible temperatures by salting out and filtering. The filtered color substances can optionally after the addition of coupage agents and / or buffer agents, eg. B. after adding a mixture of equal parts of mono- and disodium phosphate, dried; drying is preferably carried out at temperatures that are not too high and under reduced pressure. In certain cases, the dry preparations according to the invention can be used directly by spray drying the entire preparation mixture, i.e. H. without intermediate isolation of the dyes.
The new dyes are suitable for dyeing and printing a wide variety of materials, such as silk, leather, wool, superpolyamide fibers and super-polyurethanes, but especially cellulose-containing materials with a fibrous structure such as linen, cellulose, regenerated cellulose and, above all, cotton. The dyes of the formulas (1) and (5) are particularly suitable for dyeing cellulose by the exhaust process, after which the goods are dyed for a long time (about 100-120 minutes) in a salty, alkaline dye solution at elevated temperature and the dye is fixed - becomes. This process and the printing methods result in dyeings and prints which are generally characterized by good lightfastness, a high degree of fixation and, above all, excellent wet fastness properties. The new dyes also show very good solubility.
In the following example, unless otherwise indicated, parts are parts by weight, percentages are percentages by weight, and temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.

31.9 parts of 1,8-aminonaphthol-3,6-disulfonic acid are dissolved neutrally with the addition of sodium hydroxide, and the solution is added to an ice-cold aqueous suspension of 18.5 parts of cyanuric chloride. The mixture is stirred for 2 hours between 0 and 5 and neutralized with a dilute sodium hydroxide solution in such a way that the reaction always remains slightly acidic to the Congo.
An aqueous solution of 5.4 parts of m-phenylenediamine is added to the resulting solution of the primary condensation product within 10 minutes, the temperature is gradually increased to 30 and about 50 parts by volume of 2N sodium hydroxide solution are added dropwise within 1 hour in such a way that the pH Value 6 is not exceeded. When the condensation has ended, a solution of 20 parts of anhydrous sodium carbonate is added, followed by the diazo solution of 13.7 parts of p-aminobenzoic acid at 5-10. After the coupling has ended, the dye is precipitated by adding acetone or alcohol, filtered off and dried
Staining instruction 1.
2 parts of dye are dissolved in 100 parts of water with the addition of 0.5 part of sodium m-nitrobenzenesulfonate.
