2, a plu., grande échelle.
(fig.
came excentrée 21a engagée dans l'ouverture 16.
Mixers are known for hot and cold liquids, intended for sanitary installations in particular, comprising a mechanism comprising two movable closure members determining, as a function of the position of an adjustment member, the passage sections of two supply conduits. liquids, this mechanism comprising a body detachably fixed against a bearing face of a base onto which the hot and cold liquid inlets emerge.
In known mixers, the base is most often formed by a bottom wall of a housing housing the body of the mixer which is held applied against this wall by a cover assembled to the housing by means of screws or bolts distributed over its periphery.
In other mixers, the body is retained by a relatively large diameter threaded ring covering the body of the mixer.
In these known mixers, the means for fixing the interchangeable body contribute to increasing the bulk of the device which often remains too large to be placed directly on sinks or sinks, instead of the usual taps and spouts. The installation of the mixer then requires additional fittings and pipes which make the installation more expensive, while damaging its aesthetics.
The object of the invention is to alleviate these drawbacks by proposing new arrangements aimed at facilitating the mounting of the mixer body on the base, in a very small footprint.
To this end, the mixer according to the invention is characterized in that said body is fixed to said base by a clamping device comprising a tie rod movable axially in a direction perpendicular to said bearing face, this tie rod comprising, of a on the one hand, a front head engaged in a recess of one of said elements and, on the other hand, a rear part coupled to a transverse actuating member integral with the other element, which is arranged parallel to the bearing face and whose axial displacement or rotation causes traction on the tie rod, pressing the body against the base.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the mixer which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. I is an elevational view thereof, certain elements being shown in section.
Fig. 2 is a section taken along line 2-2 of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a plan view from above of the base supporting the removable body of the mixer.
Fig. 4 is a partial view of the mclau Ieur. this view being a section along line 4-4 of FIG. 2, rained., Large scale.
Fig. 5 is a section taken along line 5-5 of FIG. 4.
Fig. 6 is a partial view of a variant.
The mixer shown comprises a mechanism housed in a removable body 1, this mechanism comprising two movable closure members 2, 3 determining, depending on the position given to an adjustment member 4, the passage sections of two supply ducts hot and cold liquids 5 and 6 (fig. 3).
The body I is detachably fixed against a bearing face 7 of a fixed base 8, onto which the inlets 5 and 6 for hot and cold liquids emerge (fig. 3).
The base 8, of which only the upper part is shown in FIG. 1, will for example be fixedly mounted on a porcelain or metal washbasin indicated in L.
The closure members 2. 3 are valves with a cylindrical body slidably mounted in the body I. They move in a direction perpendicular to the bearing face 7 of the base and cooperate. to adjust the respective flow rates of hot and cold liquids, with seats 9, 10 constituting the orifices for the hot and cold liquid inlets on the bearing face 7 of the base (fig. 3).
The mechanism controlling the position of the shutter members 2 and 3 as a function of the position of the adjustment lever 4 can be of any type. In a preferred embodiment. he will be by
example constituted as described in Swiss patent N "589813.
It could also include a bimetallic strip or any other
thermostatic control.
The body I is fixed to the base 8 by a clamping device it
(Fig. 4 and 5) comprising a tie rod 12 slidably mounted in the
body I and which is axially movable in a perpendicular direction
cular to the bearing face 7.
The tie rod 12 comprises, on the one hand, a front head 13
engaged in a groove 14 of the base, with an inverted T-shaped cross section, and, on the other hand, a rear part 15 having a
opening 16 in which an actuator is engaged
transverse 17 integral with the body 1 and which is arranged parallel
to the support face 7.
The member 17, mounted to rotate in the body I, comprises two
cylindrical end parts 18, 19 pivoted in a bore 20
of the body 1, and a central part 21 comprising a surface of
eccentric cam 21a engaged in opening 16.
An internal hexagon 22 allows the member 17 to be engaged in
means of a key in order to turn it, its rotation in the
direction of arrow A (fig. 4) pulling the tie rod 12
which has the effect of pressing the body I against the bearing face 7.
A rotation in the opposite direction allows the tie rod 12, pushed by a
spring 23, to come out over a greater length of the body 1.
A recess 24 formed in the lower part of the body 1
forms a mixing chamber for hot and cold liquids
whose respective flow rates are regulated by the shut-off members 2
and 3.
ün outer sheath 25 having an outlet orifice 26
constituting a neck surrounds adjoining parts 27 and 28 of the
body I and the base 8. This sleeve 25 is rotatably mounted. It is
retained axially by means of plates 29 fixed to the sheath by
screws 30 and which are engaged in a peripheral groove 31 of
the base. Annular seals 32 and 33, in rubber, ensuring
the seal between the sleeve and the base, on the one hand. and between the
scabbard and body, on the other hand. without preventing the rotation of the
sheath 25 which allows the orientation of the neck 26 to be modified.
When placing the body 1 on the base 8.before the
mounting the sleeve 25. the tie rod 12 placed in its external position
higher is engaged by its head 13 in the groove 14, and the body 1 is
moved to the right (fig. 4) to be brought opposite the em-
base 8. The axis 16 is then turned by means of a key to fix the
body 1 against the base 8. During the descent of the body 1, a
ankle 34 integral with the latter engages in a hole 35 of
the base (fig. 1), so that the body 1, positioned by the
pulling 12 and by this pin 34, is placed on the base 8 in a
determined position for which the shutters I and 2
are located opposite seats 9 and 10.
The sleeve 25 comprising the neck 26 is then put in place.
the adjustment lever 4 being temporarily removed to allow
put his passage.
Thanks to the fact that the movement of the tie rod 12 is controlled
by the transverse actuator 17 located at the base of the
body I in the immediate vicinity of its bearing face. the whole section
upper body I remains available to house the mechanism of the
mixer. The absence of any threaded outer ring allows
maintain at a minimum value the overall diameter D of
the device (fig. 1), which thus remains compact.
The base 8 will generally be a part intended to be fixed to the
bowl of a sink or sink. In a variant, the base 8
could also constitute a base also comprising a
conduit for the outlet of the mixture.
The seats with which the shutter members cooperate 2
and 3 could also be located on a part of the body 1.and not
not on the base.
In the variant shown in FIG. 6.the clamping device
established between the body 37 and the base 38 comprises a tie rod 39
slidably mounted in the base and which has a head 40
engaged in a groove 41 of the body. The tie rod 39 movable perpendicularly to the bearing face 42 has an opening 43 traversed by a transverse actuating member 44 integral with the base and which is arranged parallel to the bearing face 42.
The member 44, mounted to slide in a bore 45 of the base.
comprises a flat central part 46 engaged in the opening of the tie rod and cooperating with the edge of the latter by a wedge-shaped cam surface 47. The member 44 has a thread 48 screwed into a nut 49 whose rotation allows the member 44 to be moved to the right (FIG. 6) to ensure the locking of the body 37 on the base 38.
