Geeignete, gegebenenfalls substituierte Carbonsäureestergruppen als Substituenten R6 bis R9 sind z.B. die gegebenenfalls durch Alkoxy-, Phenyl- oder Phenoxyreste substituierte Carbonsäurealkylestergruppen mit 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen im Alkylrest, die Carbonsäurecycloalkylestergruppen und die Carbonsäurearylestergruppen, vorzugsweise solche der Naphthalin-, Diphenyl- und insbesondere der Benzoireihe, Beispiele derartiger Carbonsäureestergruppen sind die Carbonsäuremethyl-, -äthyl-, -n-propyl-, -iso-propyl-, -n-butyl-, -iso-butyl, -n-amyl-, -iso-amyl-, -n-hexyl-, -n-octyl-, -2-äthylhexyl-, -2-methoxyäthyl-, -2-äthoxyäthyl-, -2-n-butoxyäthyl-, -2-(2'-methoxyäthoxy)-äthyl-, -2- (2'- äthoxyäthoxy)- äthyl-, -2- (2'-n-butoxyäthoxy) -äthyl-, -benzyl-,

Als gegebenenfalls substituierte Sulfonsäureestergruppen als Substituenten R7 bis R9 kommen die den oben erwähnten Carbonsäureestergruppen entsprechenden Sulfonsäureestergruppen in Betracht.
Als gegebenenfalls substituierte Carbonsäureamidgruppe oder Sulfonsäureamidgruppen (Substituenten R7 bis R9) können z.B. die folgenden genannt werden: die Carbonsäureoder Sulfonsäureamid-, -mono- oder -dialkylamid-, -monooder -di-(hydroxyalkyl)-amid-, -alkoxyalkyl- oder -alkoxyalkoxyalkylamid-, -aryl-, -aralkyl-, -aryloxyalkyl- oder -cycloalkylamid-, -N-alkyl- oder -N-hydroxyalkyl-N-phenylamidgruppen, worin Alkyl und Hydroxyalkyl z.B. 1 bis 8, vorzugsweise 1 bis 4, Kohlenstoffatome enthalten, Alkoxyalkylund Alkoxyalkoxyalkyl vorzugsweise 3 bis 6 bzw. 5 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatome enthalten, Aryl und Aryloxy z.B. zweikernig und vorzugsweise einkernig sind.
Spezifische Beispiele sind die Carbonsäure- oder Sulfonsäure-methyl-, -äthyl-, -n-propyl-, -isopropyl-, -n-butyl-, -sek. butyl-, -iso-butyl-, -n-amyl-, -n-hexyl-, -iso-amyl, -dimethyl-, -diäthyl-, -di-nbutyl-, -2-hydroxyäthyl-, -2- oder -3 -hydroxypropyl-, -4-hydroxybutyl-, -di-(2-hydroxyäthyl)-, -di-(2-hydroxypropyl) -, -2-methoxyäthyl-, -2-äthoxyäthyl-, -2-n-butoxyäthyl-, -3-methoxypropyl-, -4-methoxybutyl-, -2- (2'-methoxyäthoxy) -äthyl-, -2-(2'-äthoxyäthoxy)-äthyl-, -2-(2'-n-butoxyäthoxy) -äthyl-, -phenyl-, -2-, -3- oder -4-methylphenyl-, -2-, -3- oder -4-chlorphenyl-, -2- oder -4-methoxyphenyl- oder -äthoxyphenyl-, -4-tert.

Als gegebenenfalls substituierte Carbonsäureamidgruppe besitzt der Substituent R6 die für R, bis R9 angegebenen Bedeutungen.
Geeignete Acylaminogruppen (Substituenten R, bis R,) sind z.B. niedrigmolekulare, gegebenenfalls substituierte Alkanoylamino- oder Alkoxycarbonylaminogruppen oder gegebenenfalls substituierte Benzoylamino-, Phenylsulfonylaminooder Alkylsulfonylaminogruppen (Acetylamino, Propionylamino, Butyrylamino, Methoxy- oder Äthoxycarbonylamino, Benzoylamino, 4-Methyl- oder 4-Chlorbenzoylamino, Phenylsulfonylamino, 4- Methylphenylsulfonylamino, Methyloder Äthylsulfonylamino).
Der Substituent E1 ist vorzugsweise ein Halogenatom, (Chlor, Brom, Jod) oder ein Sulfat-, Methyl- oder Äthylsulfatrest oder ein Sulfonatrest (Methansulfonat, Äthansulfonat, Benzolsulfonat, 4-Methylbenzolsulfonat) oder ein Alkanoatrest (Acetat, Propionat) oder ein Benzoatrest.
Als farblose Anionen kommen in Frage sowohl organische wie anorganische Ionen wie die Formiat-, Acetat-, Chloracetat-, Propionat-, Oxalat-, Lactat-, Tartrat-, Benzoat-, Maleinat-Ionen oder die Chlorid-, Bromid-, Iodid-, Perchlorat-, Methylsulfat-, Athylsulfat-, Methylsulfonat-, Sulfat-, Bisulfat-, Benzolsulfonat-, 4-Methylbenzolsulfonat-, 4-Chlorbenzolsulfonat-Ionen. Ebenfalls brauchbar sind wasserlösliche Doppelsalzverbindungen mit anorganischen Salzen wie Zinkchlorid.
In den Verbindungen der Formel Ib, kann man das bei der Alkylierung gebildete Anion durch ein anderes Anion ersetzten, indem man z.B. die Verbindung in Wasser oder in einem wässrig-organischen Medium löst und mit einem Silbersalz (Silbernitrat, -acetat), falls ein Halogenanion (Cl-, Br, I-) durch ein anderes Anion zu ersetzen ist oder mit einem Bariumsalz versetzt, falls an Stelle eines Sulfatanion ein anderes Anion einzuführen ist; man kann auch diesen Austausch mit Hilfe von lonenaustauschern oder auch über mehrere Stufen, z.B. über das Carbonat oder Hydroxid bewerkstelligen.
Die bevorzugten Verbindungen der Formel Ia und Ib sind diejenigen, die als Substituenten R4 und R5 Wasserstoff, Chlor, Methyl oder Methoxy, als Substituenten R6 Wasserstoff, Methyl oder Phenyl, als Substituenten R7 bis R9 entweder drei Wasserstoffatome oder zwei Wasserstoffatome und ein Chloratom, eine Alkyl- oder Alkoxygruppe mit 1 bis 5 Kohlenstoffatomen, eine Cyan- oder Phenylgruppe oder eine Alkanoylamino- oder Alkoxycarbonylaminogruppe mit 2 bis 5 Kohlenstoffatomen, oder ein Wasserstoff und zwei Chloratome tragen.
Im allgemeinen sind als gegebenenfalls substituierte Alkylreste R1 der Methyl-, Äthyl-, n-Propyl-, Isopropyl-, n-Butyl-, Isobutyl-, n-Amyl-, Isoamyl- oder n-Hexylrest oder dann der 2-Hydroxyäthyl-, 2-Cyanäthyl-, Chlormethyl-, 2-Chlor äthyl-, Aminocarbonylmethyl-, Benzyl- oder Phenoxyäthylrest zu verstehen.
Die Veresterung einer Carbonsäure der Formel II, mit einem Alkohol der Formel III, kann z.B. in folgender Weise erfolgen: Man trägt die zu veresternde Carbonsäure in ein Gemisch aus dem Alkohol der Formel III, und einem inerten organischen Lösungsmittel z.B. einem gegebenenfalls halogenierten Kohlenwasserstoff (Benzol, Toluol, Xylol, Chlorbenzol, Petroläther, Chloroform, Tetrachlorkohlenstoff) oder einem Äther (Diäthyläther, Di-isopropyläther, Dioxan, Methoxy- oder Äthoxybenzol, 1 ,2-Dimethoxy- oder 1,2-Di äthoxyäthan) oder einem Überschuss des Alkohols selbst ein, fügt dann als Katalysator eine Säure wie Schwefelsäure, Phosphorsäure, Methan- oder Äthansulfonsäure,
Benzol- oder Toluolsulfonsäure oder auch Chlor- oder Bromwasserstoffgas oder ein sauer reagierendes Salz wie Zinkchlorid hinzu und führt die Veresterung zu Ende bei Temperaturen von z.B. OOC bis 200 C gegebenenfalls unter erhöhtem oder erniedrigtem Druck, vorzugsweise unter möglichst wasserfreien Bedingungen, z.B. unter azeotropischer Entfernung des gebildeten Wassers. Der so hergestellte Ester kann in üblicher Weise, z.B. durch Absaugen, wenn er in Suspension vorliegt.

Als funktionelle Derivate der Säuren der Formeln II kommen z.B. die Halogenide (Chloride, Bromide), die Anhydride und die niedrigmolekularen Alkylester (Methyl- bis Butylester) in Frage.
Zur Herstellung der Halogenide der Carbonsäuren der Formeln II behandelt man die Carbonsäuren mit Phosgen, Oxalylchlorid, Thionylchlorid, Phosphoroxychlorid oder Phosphoroxybromid, Phosphor-tri- oder -pentachlorid bei
Temperaturen z.B. von Raumtemperatur bis 1500C gegebe nenfalls in Gegenwart eines inerten Lösungsmittel und vor zugsweise in Gegenwart eines Katalysators wie Pyridin.
Als Säurereste E1 kommen beispielsweise diejenigen der
Schwefelsäure, (El steht für -O-SO,H), einer Sulfonsäure (E1 steht für -SO3R13, worin R13 einen gegebenenfalls substituier ten Kohlenwasserstoffrest bedeutet), des Schwefelwasserstoffs (E1 steht für -SH), vorzugsweise aber diejenigen der Halo genwasserstoffsäuren (E1 steht für Cl, Br usw.) in Betracht.
Geeignete Alkylierungsmittel oder Quaternierungsmittel sind z.B. Ester starker Mineralsäuren und organischer Sulfonsäu ren, Alkylchloride, Alkylbromide und Alkyljodide, Aralkyl halogenide, Ester niedrigmolekularer Alkansulfonsäuren, wie z.B. Methan-, Äthan- oder Butansulfonsäure und Ester der
Benzolsulfonsäuren, welche weitersubstituiert sein können, die Methyl-, Äthyl-, Propyl- und n-Butylester der Benzolsul fonsäure, 2- oder 4-Methylbenzolsulfonsäure, 4-Chlorbenzol sulfonsäure oder 3- oder 4-Nitrobenzolsulfonsäure, Methyl chlorid, Methylbromid, Methyljodid oder Dimethylsulfat,
Methylester niedrigmolekularer Alkansulfonsäuren oder der
Benzolsulfonsäuren.
Die Behandlung mit Alkylierungsmitteln der Formel IV findet zweckmässig bei Temperaturen von 0 bis 150"C, vor zugsweise bei Temperaturen von etwa 150 bis 110 C, in einem inerten Lösungsmittel z.B. in einem Äther oder Keton, in einem gegebenenfalls halogenierten oder nitrierten aromati schen Kohlenwasserstoff, in einer niedrigmolekularen Alkan carbonsäure oder besonders in einem niedrigmolekularen Alkohol wie Methanol, gegebenenfalls in Gegenwart von Was ser oder in einem Oberschuss des Alkylierungsmittels, statt.
Die hergestellten Ammoniumverbindungen scheiden sich in vielen Fällen aus dem Reaktionsmedium ab und können abgesaugt, gewaschen und getrocknet werden. Sonst kann man das Lösungsmittel abdestillieren oder durch geeignete Mittel wie Petroläther verdünnen.
Die erfindungsgemäss erhaltenen Verbindungen werden in üblicher Weise z.B. durch Absaugen, gegebenenfalls nach Verdünnen des Reaktionsmediums mit einem flüssigen Fällungsmittel oder Versetzen mit einem Aussalzmittel, durch Einengen des Lösungsmittels und Absaugen usw. isoliert.
Die neuen Pyrazolinderivate der Formel Ia und Ib besitzen ausgezeichnete Eigenschaften zum optischen Aufhellen der verschiedenartigsten organischen Materialien und Kunststoffe. Unter organischen Materialien sind insbesondere natürliche Faserstoffe wie Baumwolle und Wolle zu verstehen, vor allem aber synthetische faserbildende Polymere wie Polyester, Polyamide, Polyurethane, Polyolefine (Polyäthylen, Polypropylen), Polyvinylacetat, Polyvinylchlorid, Polyvinylidenchlorid, Polyacrylnitril, modifiziertes Polyacrylnitril, Cellulosetriacetat, Cellulose-2M-acetat und Polystyrol.
Die Verbindungen der Formel Ia und Ib können in der üblichen Weise angewendet werden, beispielsweise in Form von Lösungen in organischen Lösungsmitteln oder von wässrigen Lösungen oder Dispersionen.
Die Verbindungen der Formel Ia, eignen sich besonders für das Aufhellen von Cellulose-2/2- oder -triacetat, oder von synthetischen Polyamidfasern aus wässriger Dispersion, während das Haupteinsatzgebiet der Verbindungen der Formel Ib, das Aufhellen von Polyacrylnitrilfasern oder Acrylnitril enthaltenden Fasern aus wässriger Lösung oder in der gelösten Spinnmasse ist.
Unter Acrylnitrilpolymerisaten sind insbesondere Polymerisate mit mehr als 80% Acrylnitril zu verstehen; Acrylnitrilmischpolymerisate sind im allgemeinen Copolymere aus 80-95% Acrylnitril und 20-5% Vinylacetat, Vinylpyridin, Vinylchlorid, Vinylidenchlorid und auch Acrylsäure, Acrylsäureester, Methacrylsäure, Methacrylsäureester, usw.
Die Konzentration kann je nach Anwendungsverfahren 0,001 bis 0,5% vorzugsweise 0,01 bis 0,2%, der erwähnten Verbindungen, bezogen auf das aufzuhellende Material, betragen. Diese Verbindungen können allein oder in Kombination mit anderen Aufhellern, sowie in Gegenwart von oberflächenaktiven Mitteln wie Waschmittel, Carrier usw.
angewendet werden.
Man erhält brillante, starke Aufhellungen von guten Licht- und Nassechtheiten.
In den folgenden Beispielen bedeuten die Teile Gewichtsteile und die Prozente Gewichtsprozente; die Temperaturen sind in Celsiusgraden angegeben und die Schmelzpunkte sind unkorrigiert.
Beispiel I
8,55 Teile 1-(4'-t-Chlorcarbonyläthylsulfonylphenyl)-3-(4"- -chlorphenyl)-A2-pyrazolin und 2 Teile 2-Dimethylamino äthanol und 32 Teile Aceton werden vermischt und unter Rückfluss erhitzt. Dann kühlt man das Reaktionsgemisch ab, saugt das abgeschiedene Chlorhydrat ab, wäscht es mit Aceton und trocknet es bei 80". Ausbeute 8,0 Teile;
Schmelzpunkt (unkorr.) 174.60. Durch Behandeln des Rohprodukts mit siedendem Dioxan erhält man das bei 187-90 (unkorr) schmelzende reine Chlorhydrat der Formel

Verwendungsbeispiel A
100 Teile eines Polyacrylnitrilgewebes werden bei 40 in 4000 Teilen einer Lösung eingebracht, die 0,3 Teile des nach Beispiel 1 erhaltenen Produkts und 30 Teile einer 10%igen Essigsäure-Lösung enthält. Man treibt die Temperatur in 30 Minuten auf 90" und hält sie während 60 Minuten bei 90-95".
Das Polyacrylnitrilgewebe wird aus der Flotte herausgenommen, gut mit heissem, dann mit kaltem entmineralisiertem Wasser gewaschen und bei 80" getrocknet. Das so behandelte Gewebe zeigt im Vergleich zum unbehandelten Gewebe eine brillante Aufhellung.
Verwendungsbeispiel B
100 Teile eines Cellulosetriacetat-gewebes, das mit einer auf dem pH-Wert von 3,5 gepufferten Lösung von 2 g/l Na triumchlorit bei 90-95" vorgebleicht wurde, werden mit 4000 Teilen einer Lösung behandelt, die 0,5 Teile des nach Beispiel 1 hergestellten Produkts und 20 Teile eines Fettalkyl -polyglykoläther-acetats enthält. Das Gewebe wird bei 40 eingebracht, die Flotte in 30 Minuten auf 90" erhitzt und während weiteren 30 Minuten bei 90-950 gehalten; dann nimmt man das Gewebe aus der Lösung, spült es gut mit entmineralisiertem Wasser und trocknet es bei 80". Durch diese Behandlung erhält das Cellulosetriacetat eine brillante Aufhellung.
Verwendungsbeispiel C
100 Teile eines Polyacrylnitrilgewebes werden bei 40 in 4000 Teile einer wässrigen Lösung, die 0,4 Teile des nach Beispiel 1 hergestellten Produktes, 0,5 Teile Natriummetabisulfit, 2 Teile Natriumhexametaphosphat und 2 Teile Oxalsäure enthält eingebracht. Die Badtemperatur wird in 30 Minuten auf 90" erhöht und während einer weiteren Stunde bei 90-950 gehalten. Das Gewebe wird nun herausgenommen, mit heissem, dann mit kaltem entmineralisiertem Wasser gewaschen und bei 80" getrocknet.
