Fig. 1 eine Einrichtung zur aufeinanderfolgenden Abgabe und Orientierung von Magnetkernen nach der Erfindung;
Fig. 2 einen Teil der Einrichtung nach Fig. 1 in einer Stellung vor dem Arbeitsbeginn;
The invention relates to a method for the sequential separation of individual magnetic cores in an oriented position and for the delivery of these magnetic cores, starting from a magnetic core supply in the form of at least one column of magnetic cores threaded onto a wire, each magnetic core column being held back by a delimitation bar before it is moved downwards on the wire. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method.
For threading magnetic cores with a wire wound into a spiral, for counting and for quality control of the magnetic cores, one magnetic core has to be separated from the magnetic core column beforehand and this magnetic core has to be fed to a certain point and aligned.
Various methods for sequentially dispensing and orienting magnetic cores are known. A known method consists in first threading the magnetic cores onto wires to form columns and arranging the wires with the magnetic core columns in rows and holding them under low tension in fastening devices.
A delimitation bar prevents the magnetic core columns from shifting down on the wires.
Then a profiled comb with its sharp edge is inserted into the gap between the lowest magnetic core of the magnetic core columns and each lowest magnetic core on each wire is separated from the column, whereupon the delimitation bar is lifted and the separated magnetic cores slide down on the wires while the magnetic core columns are held by the inserted comb. The separated magnetic cores are then oriented in a predetermined direction, i. Ii. it is z. B. each magnetic core arranged at an angle of 45 "to the threaded wire in the respective direction according to the predetermined topology of the memory matrix.
This method is used in a manual production of memory matrices which is currently widespread.
The disadvantage of this method is the difficult separation of the individual magnetic cores from the columns and their orientation, which leads to damage and not infrequently also complete destruction of the magnetic cores and makes it impossible to use this method on microminiature cores.
A device has been created for relatively large magnetic cores with an outside diameter of 1 mm and more to carry out the method described above for the successive dispensing and orientation of magnetic cores. This device contains fastening devices for rows of wires with magnetic cores threaded onto them to form columns. A severing mechanism is mounted across the wires, which has a delimiting strip and a profiled comb with a sharp edge. Between the delimitation bar and the profiled comb there is an intermediate bar with the same thickness as the height of a magnetic core.
An adjusting device for magnetic cores, which is designed in the form of toothed combs, with the aid of which the magnetic cores are oriented, is arranged parallel to the detachment mechanism.
This arrangement is complicated and requires precision manufacturing of a large number of elements.
At present, such devices, as mentioned, are used when threading magnetic cores for memory matrices, the magnetic cores having an outside diameter of
1 mm and above. Attempts to produce the same device for magnetic cores with an outer diameter of 0.8 mm have so far failed, although there is a need to thread magnetic cores with an outer diameter of 0.6 to 0.3 mm and even 0.2 mm.
The threading of magnetic cores - a process that is still carried out manually today - must be fully automated when changing over to magnetic cores with very small diameters. The lack of strength required to carry out this operation with one worker and a low level of performance in manual threading make the automation of this technological process economically indispensable with the constantly growing demand for storage devices made from magnetic cores.
Disadvantages of the device described are, above all, insufficient accuracy when separating the magnetic cores from the columns, slight damage or complete destruction of the magnetic cores by the edge of the profiled comb and the tooth combs of the adjusting device.
In addition, the operator's eye fatigue is considerable, so that the work productivity is lowered.
A full automation and a design of such a device for microminiaturized magnetic cores that behave like dust particles are not possible.
The invention is based on the object of creating a method for the successive separation of individual magnetic cores in an oriented position and for dispensing these magnetic cores from a magnetic core supply and a device for carrying it out, which allows a more precise separation of magnetic cores of all possible sizes that are threaded on a wire , including the micro-miniature kernels, thereby reducing the operator's eye fatigue and increasing his work productivity as well as the quality of the finished products.
The method according to the invention for the successive separation of individual magnetic cores in an oriented position and for the delivery of these magnetic cores, starting from a magnetic core supply in the form of magnetic cores threaded onto at least one wire for each column, is characterized in that the lowermost magnetic core of each column is pressed against an abutment and Above the pressed magnetic core, the wire with the remaining magnetic core column is bent over the profile of the abutment, whereby the lowest magnetic core is advanced and oriented in relation to the magnetic core column, and then the lower part of the wire is swiveled towards straightening and the lowest magnetic core is thrown off .
The device according to the invention for carrying out the method, which contains at least one wire, magnetic cores threaded onto it to form a column, a delimitation bar arranged below the column of the magnetic cores and a device for fastening the wire, is characterized in that on the delimitation bar in the immediate vicinity of Magnetic core column an abutment is arranged, which is a profiled bar in the form of a prism and has a first surface facing the wire, the width of which corresponds to the height of a magnetic core, and a second surface abutting the upper edge of said first surface and inclined to this, and that the device for fastening the wire is movable.
The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings. Show it:
1 shows a device for the successive delivery and orientation of magnetic cores according to the invention;
FIG. 2 shows a part of the device according to FIG. 1 in a position before work begins;
FIG. 3 shows the device part of FIG. 2 in a position which illustrates the dispensing and orientation of a magnetic core; FIG. and
FIG. 4 shows the device part of FIG. 2 in a position which illustrates the operation of ejecting a magnetic core.
The device shown in FIG. 1 for the successive dispensing and orientation of magnetic cores contains a delimitation strip 1, which holds the column 2 of magnetic cores 3 threaded onto wires 4 from being shifted downward. A device variant is shown for two magnetic core columns 2 threaded onto wires 4. The front edge of the delimitation bar 1 holding the magnetic core columns 2 is in the immediate vicinity of the wires 4. The wires 4 are distributed along the delimitation bar 1 and under low tension in the above and below the limiting strip 1 located fastening devices 5 and 6 held. An abutment 7, which is designed as a profiled bar in the form of a prism, is arranged as an additional piece on the delimitation bar 1 in the immediate vicinity of the magnetic core columns 2.
Two abutting surfaces of the abutment are labeled 8 and 9.
The surface 8 facing the wires 4 with the magnetic cores threaded onto the columns 2 has a width corresponding to the height of a magnetic core 3. The surface 9 is located above the surface 8 and is inclined to this at an angle of 30 to 60. The distance between the magnetic cores 3 separated from the pillars 2 and dispensed in an oriented position for checking, threading or counting depends on the size of this angle. If a short distance of the separated magnetic cores 3 from the columns 2 is sufficient, the angle at which the surface 9 is inclined to the surface 8 can be kept small; if the separated cores 3 are larger from the columns 2, this angle is increased.
The devices 5 and 6 for fastening the wires 4 consist of rubber strips provided with incisions, which are fastened to the ends of movable levers 10 and 11.
The levers 10 and 11 are arranged to be pivotable about the axis 12. With respect to the wires 4, the axis 12 is oriented so that its extended center line passes through the bending points of the wires 4 where the magnetic cores 3 are severed and dispensed in an oriented manner for threading, counting or checking, i.e. the center line extends along the plane of the delimitation strip 1 on which the magnetic cores 3 retained by a downward displacement on the wires 4 lie, at a distance equal to the height of a magnetic core 3, and along the surface 8 of the profiled abutment 7 in one Distance that is equal to the difference between the outer and inner radius of the magnetic core 3. The delimitation strip 1 and the profiled abutment 7 can also be produced as a one-piece part 13 (FIG. 4).
The width of the edge of the delimitation strip 1 (FIG. 1) protruding over the profiled abutment 7 must correspond to the difference between the outer and inner radius of the magnetic core 3.
Reference is now made to FIGS. 2-4 to explain the operation of this device.
From FIG. 2, which shows part of the device in the state before work begins, it can be seen that the magnetic cores 3 are initially threaded onto the wire 4 to form a column 2. The magnetic core column 2 rests on the delimitation strip 1 so that the cores on the wire 4 cannot slide down. The straight wire 4 is held in the fastening devices 5 and 6 under low tension. The wire 4 lies with respect to the delimitation strip 1 in such a way that it rests against the edge of the delimitation strip 1 and is slightly pressed against it by its tensioning force.
The magnetic cores 3 are pressed against the delimitation strip 1 by their own weight. Microminiature cores 3, which behave similarly to dust particles, would only be insufficiently compressed to form a column 2 and pressed against the delimitation strip 1. In this case, the magnetic core column 2 is compressed by an additional load (not shown) which is placed on the wire 4 above the magnetic core column 2.
Before work begins, the lowermost magnetic core 3 lies directly opposite the surface 8 of the profiled abutment 7 and is correctly pressed against the delimitation strip 1.
The lowermost magnetic core 3 is pressed against the surface 8 of the profiled abutment 7 by the wire 4. The upper part of the wire 4 (Fig. 3) with the magnetic core column 2 is then bent along the profile of the additional piece, the lowermost magnetic core 3 of the column 2 remains in its original position, while the column 2 is made of the remaining magnetic cores 3 to the Surface 9 of the additional piece applies.
In this way, the lowermost magnetic core 3 remaining in the original position is separated from the magnetic core column 2.
The lowermost magnetic core 3 is then delivered in an oriented position to carry out the operations for counting, threading and checking. After performing any of these operations, the lowermost magnetic core 3 is thrown off, for which purpose the lower part of the wire 4 is pivoted by means of the fastening device 6 in the direction of straightening with the upper part of the wire 4 without the tension of the wire 4 being loosened. This pivoting must not be carried out until the wire 4 is completely straightened and the pressure force pressing the magnetic core column 2 against the surface 9 is canceled.
The magnetic core 3 usually falls off before such a position has been assumed because the standardized magnetic cores 3 always have a slightly greater height than the thickness of the magnetic core 3 given by the difference between the outer and inner radius.
In the following, the device according to the invention operates as described above.
The described method for the successive dispensing and orientation of magnetic cores and the described device for carrying it out are obviously of particular interest for mechanized threading of the magnetic cores of memory matrices with the aid of a wire wound into a spiral. When using the invention for threading magnetic cores with the aid of a needle on a mounting wire attached to its end, the boundary strip 1 and the additional piece are each designed to be profiled.
