Abstract
The timber drying plant uses a combination of hot air drying and drying by using a heat pump. This system dries timber by warm air and by circulating air and combines the advantages of two drying systems. The timber is at first dried at relatively high air humidity down to the 15-12% moisture in the timber by air, circulation with the heat pump. At this point the compressor of the refrigerator is switched off. Subsequently the timber is dried by warm air and the air flow is regulated for accelerating residual drying of timber down to 8-6% moisture content.
