Abstract

The drying plant for agricultural products has a dying furance, used eg for grass, sugar beet or potatoes. The heat in the waste air form the dryer is utilised and energy consumption of this plant is reduced. The waste air from the drier is used for predrying of the materials. This air is passed through a heat exchanger and the water vapour is condensed in the heat exchanger. The predrying drum has a heat exchanger whose heat exchange surfaces separate the drying drum waste air and the materials to be dried. The material to be dried is fed on the rotating heat exchange surfaces. The heat exchanger has a central tube with hollow wens which cover the length of the predrying drum. Only the hollow webs rotate and the cylindrical shell of the predrying drum is fixed.
