Fig. 3 eine vergrösserte Ansicht einer Ziehmatrize.

The invention relates to an interchangeable socket with a drawing die made of hard metal or diamond, the latter being held in a bore of the socket with a hollow clamping ring that braces both parts and rests on a shoulder projecting into the bore. Such drawing dies are used for drawing wires, mainly on multiple drawing machines. The drawing die, which preferably consists of a sintered carbide hard metal, was previously embedded in a brass or steel mount.
In such a known device, the die is either shrunk or pressed into the socket and is thus held securely. The resulting stresses on the die cannot be precisely determined in advance and can thus lead to disadvantages that can be seen, for example, in irregular deformations of the die or its misalignments.
An interchangeable socket has therefore already been proposed in which a groove is provided in the socket or in the die for receiving a hollow clamping ring that braces the two parts together. Such a connection between the die and the holder already enables a certain compensation of the axial direction of the die to the drawing direction of the wire. In addition, the socket is shielded from the high temperatures that occur.
The object of the invention is to achieve automatic compensation between a drawing die that is not completely perpendicular to the drawing direction of the wire and the drawing direction, and thus to make the quality of the drawn wire more uniform and to improve it.
To solve this problem, an interchangeable socket with a drawing die of the type mentioned is proposed, which is characterized in that the die sits on the shoulder in an oscillating manner in the socket.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the die is convex on its exit side. The support on the shoulder is expediently concave with a larger radius of curvature than the radius of curvature of the exit side of the die.
With such a storage of the die in the interchangeable socket it is achieved that the die is always aligned perpendicular to the drawn wire. The drawn wire is therefore extremely twist-free. One-sided wear of the die is avoided.
The holding of the die in the interchangeable socket and the resulting possibility of heat dissipation by means of the cooling or lubricating liquid enables the use of heat-resistant plastic for the socket.
It is advantageous to boronize the die on its stressed inner surfaces. This boronization is possible because the die can be removed from its mount, since the boronization takes place at very high temperatures to which mounts made of steel, plastic or brass cannot be exposed.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of an illustrated embodiment.
It shows:
1 shows a section through an interchangeable socket with a drawing die on a larger scale, FIG. 2 shows an enlarged detail A according to FIGS
3 shows an enlarged view of a drawing die.
The interchangeable socket marked 1 consists of a heat-resistant plastic. In its central bore 11, a shoulder 12 is formed, on which the drawing die 2 made of hard metal is mounted in a pendulum fashion. For this purpose, the exit side 22 with the exit funnel 23 of the die 2 is convex. Correspondingly, the bearing surface 13 of the shoulder has a concave shape with a greater radius of curvature than the radius of curvature of the exit side 22 of the die 2.
The socket 1 and the drawing die 2 are clamped by a hollow clamping or snap ring 3. This ring 3 engages in the groove 14 in the socket and in the circumferential groove 24 on the drawing die 2. This holder of the drawing die 2 and its pendular mounting on the shoulder in the socket 1 allow a sufficient inclination of the drawing die 2 with appropriate exposure to the Achsbzw. Direction of drawing. The axis of the drawing die is always automatically aligned with the drawing direction, which means that the quality of the drawn wire is extremely twist-free and an extremely constant diameter with a constant cross-section is achieved.
To increase the wear resistance of the inner bore 21, it is expedient to boronize the inner surfaces 25 entirely or partially. Since the drawing dies 2 can be removed from the interchangeable socket 1, this boronization can be carried out again at any time. The boronization leads to an extremely wear-resistant surface and therefore gives the tool a very long service life.
