Fig. 2 zeigt den optischen Aufbau der Fernrohrlupe.

The subject of the invention is a binocular telescopic magnifier based on the Kepler principle with positive objectives and eyepieces, as well as with image reversal through 4-fold reflection of the beam path.
Binocular telescopic magnifiers have been known in principle for a long time, cf. e.g. A. König and H. Koehler, The telescopes and rangefinders, Springer, Berlin 1959, as well as the publications of optical companies. They represent modifications of binoculars based on the Galileo or Kepler principle, which are modified for an object distance of about 25 cm and are worn on a headband as surgical and research magnifiers. An examination of known, commercially available instruments of this type has shown that they have the following disadvantages in particular:
1. The average weight of 500 g is perceived by the wearer as too big and therefore annoying, especially when it is used for a long time.
2. The structurally limited adaptability to the individual differences of the users and the only limited coincidence of the optical axis of the eyepieces and pupils limits the optical performance.
3. The previous optical constructions, which correspond to those of binoculars or prism glasses, only allow an image angle of at most 6 "with a sharpness that falls off towards the edge of the image.
The invention aims to reduce these disadvantages as much as possible. According to the invention, this is achieved through the exclusive use of light metal and plastics for the mechanical components as well as plane mirrors for image reversal, so that the total weight is at most 160 g through means for adjusting the optical axes of the eyepieces to those of the pupils, and through an anastigmatic optical system with a Field of view angle of 10.
The subject matter of the invention is described below with reference to the drawings, FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, for example.
Fig. 1 shows a binocular telescopic magnifier according to the invention obliquely from above. On the two-sided adjustable headband 1 made of plastic, which adapts to the head shape of the wearer and which adapts to the head shape of the wearer, the bracket 4 is attached by means of two screws and nuts 2, 3, on which the actual telescopic magnifier carrier 7 is pivotably suspended in two hinges 5, 6 . An adjustable stop 8 limits its lower position for use, and a handle 9 firmly connected to it on the opposite side allows the telescopic magnifier to be folded up for a direct view without having to remove it. A height-adjustable nose clip 10 is used for individual adjustment at eye level.
In the middle of the telescopic magnifier carrier 7 is a carrier 13 provided with two self-locking joints 11, 12, to which a plate 14, which is bent and rotated in accordance with the convergence angle of the optical axes, is screwed, with which the two optical systems of the binocular telescopic magnifier are rigidly connected are. The device 8-14 allow in their interaction both the adaptation to the individual characteristics of the user, as well as the coincidence of the optical axes and pupils of the instrument with those of the users within the usual angles of inclination, thus ensuring the maximum possible performance of the instrument during its use is.
Fig. 2 shows the optical structure of the telescopic magnifier. In it, the two-lens telescope objective that was customary up to now is replaced by a newly calculated anastigmatic triplet 15 with very small zone errors. The image reversal required with Kepler systems is not, as was usual up to now, brought about by prism systems, but by 4 plane mirrors 16, 17, 18, 19 to save weight, and finally a newly calculated 5-element image is used to observe the plane and sharp-edged primary image Eyepiece 20 of the Erfle type, which also has anastigmatic field flattening. With these measures, the sharp-edged marking of an image field enlarged by 30% compared to the previous embodiments, corresponding to an image angle of 10, is made possible.
