Actuellement, lorsqu'on désire procéder au ramonage dans une cheminée, un ramoneur doit monter sur le toit de l'immeuble pour faire descendre dans la cheminée un hérisson de ramonage attaché à un poids au bout d'une corde. En faisant monter et descendre le hérisson dans la cheminée, la suie se détache et est ensuite récoltée à la base de la cheminée.
La présente invention vise à éviter la nécessité pour le ramoneur de monter sur le toit, ce qui présente des dangers évidents et renchérit le coût de l'opération de ramonage.
Cette invention a pour objet un dispositif de ramonage qui est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un treuil disposé à demeure à la partie inférieure de la cheminée, pour actionner un câble dont les deux brins s'étendent en permanence longitudinalement dans le canal de la cheminée et qui passe sur une poulie disposée dans la partie supérieure du canal de la cheminée, un hérisson de ramonage étant fixé à l'un des brins du câble pour être déplacé dans le canal, alternativement dans les deux sens, lorsqu'on actionne le treuil.
Le dessin annexé représente schématiquement et à titre d'exemple une forme d'exécution du dispositif selon l'invention et une variante.
La fig. 1 est une vue en coupe verticale de cette forme d'exécution.
La fig. 2 est une vue en coupe verticale, suivant une direction perpendiculaire à celle de la fig. 1, de la partie inférieure de la variante.
La cheminée représentée sur la fig. 1 est constituée par un canal vertical 1 formé par l'intérieur d'une série de corps creux à double paroi 2, 3, comme il est bien connu. A sa partie supérieure, la cheminée est munie d'un chapeau 4 qui peut, d'ailleurs, être de type quelconque. On n'a pas représenté l'embranchement du foyer dans la cheminée, car lui aussi peut être de type quelconque.
Le dispositif de ramonage est constitué par les moyens suivants. A la partie supérieure de la cheminée une plaque 5 est fixée à l'intérieur du canal 1 au moyen de tiges métalliques filetées 6, 6', scellées dans la paroi des corps creux formant le canal 1. Sur cette plaque 5 est fixée une poulie 7 sur laquelle passe un câble dont on voit les deux brins en 8, 9. Le brin 8 est enroulé sur un premier tambour 10 d'un treuil et son extrémité est fixée à ce tambour.
L'autre brin 9 est enroulé sur un deuxiéme tambour 1 1 du treuil auquel son extrémité est fixée. Les tambours 10, 1 1 sont calés sur un arbre 12 qui peut être actionné par une manivelle 13. Le treuil 10, Il, 12, 13 est disposé à la base de la cheminée au-dessous de l'embranchement du foyer dans celle-ci. Au-dessous des tambours 10, 1 1 se trouve un espace vide 14, accessible de l'extérieur par une ouverture 15 pouvant être fermée par une porte non représentée.
Sur le brin 8 du câble est fixé un hérisson double formé de deux éléments jumelés coaxiaux 16, 17, disposés l'un au-dessus de l'autre et reliés rigidement l'un à l'autre par un tube 18. Ce double hérisson a l'avantage de se maintenir automatiquement en bonne position de ramonage du simple fait du contact de ses deux éléments avec la paroi du canal, même si l'un de ces éléments a tendance à rester accroché à une aspérité du canal 1. Ces deux éléments du hérisson sont de type classique, c'est-à-dire formés de lames radiales élastiques frottant contre la paroi du canal 1.
La plaque 5 et la poulie 7 qu'elle supporte sont fixées à demeure à la partie supérieure de la cheminée et le treuil est aménagé de façon permanente à la base de la cheminée. On comprend aisément que, pour procéder au ramonage, il suffit d'actionner la manivelle 13 pour déplacer le hérisson 16, 17, longitudinalement dans le canal 1 alternativement vers le haut et vers le bas, plusieurs fois si c'est nécessaire. La suie tombe dans la cheminée et s'amasse dans la partie 14 à la base de celle-ci. Cette suie peut être enlevée par l'ouverture 15. Après ramonage. le hérisson 16, 17, sera immobilisé juste au-dessus du treuil et audessous de l'embranchement du foyer dans la cheminée.
Dans l'exemple selon la fig. 1, la suie tombe directement sur les tambours 10, 11. Dans la variante selon la fig. 2, ce léger défaut est évité en prévoyant à la base de la cheminée des poulies de renvoi 19, tournant librement autour d'un axe 20 et sur lesquelles passent respectivement les brins 8 et 9 du câble. Les tambours 10', Il' du treuil et l'arbre 12' de celui-ci sont disposés à l'extérieur du canal de la cheminée dans une boîte 21. La manivelle est visible en 13'. On voit que les brins 8 et 9 font un coude à l'endroit des poulies 19 pour sortir de la cheminée et venir se fixer sur les tambours 10', Il' du treuil. Dans la chambre 14' se trouvant à la base de la cheminée on prévoit un récipient 22 dans lequel tombe la suie et qui peut être extrait par une ouverture telle que 15 sur la fig. 1.
Dans cette variante, la suie ne rencontre sur son passage pour tomber dans le récipient 22 que les poulies 19 et les tambours du treuil qui ne sont pas affectés par la suie.
Bien entendu, on prévoira avantageusement un tendeur à contrepoids agissant sur les brins 8 et 9 au-dessus des tambours 10 et 11.
Ce qui précède montre de façon évidente que le dispositif décrit évite la nécessité, pour le ramoneur, de grimper sur le toit.
Le travail de ramonage est donc exempt de danger et peut être effectué beaucoup plus rapidement. Le dispositif peut être agencé facilement dans une cheminée existante ou bien il peut être installé lors de la construction de la maison.
REVENDICATION
Dispositif de ramonage, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un treuil disposé à demeure à la partie inférieure de la cheminée, pour actionner un câble dont les deux brins s'étendent en permanence longitudinalement dans le canal de la cheminée et qui passe sur une poulie disposée dans la partie supérieure du canal de la cheminée, un hérisson de ramonage étant fixé à l'un des brins du câble pour être déplacé dans le canal, alternativement dans les deux sens, lorsqu'on actionne le treuil.
SOUS-REVENDICATIONS
1. Dispositif selon la revendication, caractérisé en ce que le hérisson est double, étant formé de deux éléments jumelés, coaxiaux, disposés l'un au-dessus de l'autre et reliés rigidement l'un à l'autre, en sorte que l'ensemble soit maintenu en bonne position de ramonage du simple fait du contact de ses deux éléments avec la paroi du canal et de l'espacement de ces éléments.
2. Dispositif selon la revendication, caractérisé en ce que le treuil est placé à l'extérieur du canal de cheminée, latéralement, des poulies de renvoi des brins du câble étant prévues à la base du canal.

The chimney shown in FIG. 1 consists of a vertical channel 1 formed by the interior of a series of double-walled hollow bodies 2, 3, as is well known. At its upper part, the chimney is provided with a cap 4 which can, moreover, be of any type. The branch of the hearth in the chimney has not been shown, because it too can be of any type.
The sweeping device consists of the following means. At the upper part of the chimney a plate 5 is fixed inside the channel 1 by means of threaded metal rods 6, 6 ', sealed in the wall of the hollow bodies forming the channel 1. On this plate 5 is fixed a pulley 7 on which passes a cable whose two strands can be seen at 8, 9. The strand 8 is wound on a first drum 10 of a winch and its end is fixed to this drum.
The other strand 9 is wound on a second drum 11 of the winch to which its end is fixed. The drums 10, 11 are wedged on a shaft 12 which can be actuated by a crank 13. The winch 10, 11, 12, 13 is arranged at the base of the chimney below the branch of the hearth in it. this. Below the drums 10, 1 1 is an empty space 14, accessible from the outside through an opening 15 which can be closed by a door, not shown.
On the strand 8 of the cable is fixed a double hedgehog formed of two coaxial twin elements 16, 17, arranged one above the other and rigidly connected to each other by a tube 18. This double hedgehog has the advantage of automatically maintaining itself in the correct sweeping position by the simple fact of the contact of its two elements with the wall of the channel, even if one of these elements tends to stick to a roughness of channel 1. These two elements of the hedgehog are of the conventional type, that is to say formed of elastic radial blades rubbing against the wall of channel 1.
The plate 5 and the pulley 7 which it supports are permanently fixed to the upper part of the chimney and the winch is permanently fitted at the base of the chimney. It is easily understood that, in order to carry out the sweeping, it suffices to actuate the crank 13 to move the hedgehog 16, 17, longitudinally in the channel 1 alternately upwards and downwards, several times if necessary. The soot falls into the chimney and collects in part 14 at the base of it. This soot can be removed through opening 15. After sweeping. the hedgehog 16, 17, will be immobilized just above the winch and below the branch of the hearth in the chimney.
In the example according to fig. 1, the soot falls directly on the drums 10, 11. In the variant according to FIG. 2, this slight defect is avoided by providing at the base of the chimney return pulleys 19, rotating freely around an axis 20 and over which respectively pass the strands 8 and 9 of the cable. The drums 10 ′, 11 ′ of the winch and the shaft 12 ′ thereof are arranged outside the channel of the chimney in a box 21. The crank is visible at 13 ′. It can be seen that the strands 8 and 9 make an elbow at the location of the pulleys 19 to exit the chimney and come to be fixed on the drums 10 ', II' of the winch. In the chamber 14 'located at the base of the chimney there is provided a container 22 in which the soot falls and which can be extracted through an opening such as 15 in FIG. 1.
In this variant, the soot only encounters the pulleys 19 and the winch drums on its way to fall into the container 22, which are not affected by the soot.
Of course, a counterweight tensioner will advantageously be provided acting on the strands 8 and 9 above the drums 10 and 11.
The foregoing clearly shows that the device described avoids the need for the chimney sweep to climb on the roof.
Chimney sweeping is therefore safe and can be carried out much more quickly. The device can be easily arranged in an existing chimney or it can be installed during the construction of the house.
CLAIM
Chimney sweeping device, characterized in that it comprises a winch permanently placed in the lower part of the chimney, to actuate a cable, the two strands of which extend permanently longitudinally in the channel of the chimney and which passes over a pulley arranged in the upper part of the channel of the chimney, a sweeping hedgehog being fixed to one of the strands of the cable to be moved in the channel, alternately in both directions, when the winch is actuated.
SUB-CLAIMS
1. Device according to claim, characterized in that the hedgehog is double, being formed of two twin elements, coaxial, arranged one above the other and rigidly connected to one another, so that the assembly is kept in the correct sweeping position by the simple fact of the contact of its two elements with the wall of the channel and the spacing of these elements.
2. Device according to claim, characterized in that the winch is placed outside the chimney channel, laterally, return pulleys of the cable strands being provided at the base of the channel.
