Fig. 1 eine Seitenansicht des Ausführungsbeispiels,
Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht des Ausführungsbeispiels.
B. also im Lieferungszustand, unverlierbar fest.
The invention relates to a terminal for connecting round or sector conductors to the V-shaped end of connecting rails, in the form of a box terminal which encompasses the conductor and the connecting rail together and which is compressed by means of a pressure screw guided in the terminal a pressure piece provided with a channel for receiving a conductor is rotatably attached, the opposite yoke forms a channel of angular cross-section.
Connection terminals are known which have a frame-like shape, encompass the connection conductor and the end of a connection rail and press the conductor against the end of the rail by means of a pressure screw guided in the terminal. In this way, a so-called direct connection is possible, bypassing the previously common cable lug, which not only makes installation much easier, but also saves an electrical contact resistance on the current path between the cable and the connection rail.
The end of the latter is expediently deformed in such a way that both round conductors and conductors with a sector-shaped cross-section are well encompassed and the connection is even suitable for 90 "and 1200 conductors if the shape is favorable. For example, the end of the flat bar be deformed to a V-cross-section, the profile of which has a 900 angle at the base and a 1200 angle on the flanks adjoining to the outside.
The associated box terminal then has an angular yoke into which the above-described rail end fits, and the pressure screw guided in the opposite yoke presses the conductor directly into the connection rail end, if necessary via a pressure piece that is rotatably attached to the pressure screw and non-rotatably guided in the terminal Spring action. The pressure piece is also shaped so that round and sector conductors can be gripped equally well. However, these known terminals have the disadvantage that only a single conductor can be connected to the connecting rail. Often, however, a double connection is required, i. This means that two cables, which may also have a different cross-section, must be connected to the connection rail.
The invention is therefore based on the object of designing a terminal of the type mentioned in the introduction in such a way that it can be used to connect two conductors to a connecting rail. According to the invention, this object is achieved in that between the yoke and the pressure piece an intermediate piece which is movable in the direction of displacement of the pressure screw relative to this and the yoke is arranged, the surface of which faces the pressure screw and a V-shaped channel and the surface of which faces the yoke a channel of the pressure piece forms the corresponding channel.
The V-shaped end of the connecting bar can be placed either in the channel of the yoke or that of the intermediate piece and one conductor is placed in the channel that is still free, the other in the connecting bar.
So that conductors with different cross-sectional shapes, in particular round conductors as well as sector conductors with a 900 sector and those with a 1200 sector, are reliably detected in both channels and the connecting bar also has a good contact, in a preferred embodiment not only the flanks close of the channel in the pressure piece, but also those of the channel in the yoke near the channel bottom an angle of 90 "and in the area adjacent to the channel edge an angle of 1200.
In order to achieve the best possible contact with aluminum conductors as well, it is advisable to provide the flanks of the channel in the yoke with corrugation parallel to the longitudinal axis of the channel and the surfaces of the intermediate piece used for contact formation with corrugations lying parallel or transversely.
A guide that secures the intermediate piece against turning can be achieved in a simple manner by z. B. provides the intermediate piece with webs which overlap the legs of the clamp laterally.
In the following the invention is explained in detail with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing.
Show it:
Fig. 1 is a side view of the embodiment,
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the embodiment.
A terminal denoted as a whole by 4 for connecting a connecting rail 1 to connecting conductors 2 and 3, the latter assumed in each case as a sector cable, is designed as a frame terminal. As Fig. 1 shows, the rail cross-section is deformed to a V-profile, the basic angle of which is a 90 ", while the profile opens outwards to an angle ss = 1200. The sector conductors for four-conductor cables therefore sit at the bottom of the V, as shown in Fig. 1, the sector conductors of three-core cables meanwhile on the outer flanks of the profile; round conductors are held in this V, depending on their diameter.
Normally the connection bar is cross-corrugated in the area of the deformation in order to guarantee the safe connection of aluminum conductors, for which the copper bar is then tinned.
The clamp body of the clamp 4 is denoted by 5, in the upper yoke 6 of which a pressure screw 7 runs with a pressure piece 8 rotatably riveted to it, but non-rotatably guided in the clamp. Its clamping surface facing the inside of the clamp has a longitudinally or transversely corrugated channel 9 with a concavely curved cross section. The radius of curvature is matched to the round or sector conductor cross-sections most frequently used for assembly.
The counter yoke 10 of the clamp body forms a longitudinal channel with a V-profile like that of the rail 1; the angle between the flank sections 11 at the bottom of the channel is a = 90 "and widens outwards to a flank angle ss = 1200 in the area of the flank sections 11 ', so that in principle the same connection conditions are given for the conductor 3 here as on the rail 1 for the conductor 2. For better contacting of the conductors, the flanks 11, 11 'can be provided with a corrugation - for reasons of manufacturing the terminal body 5 by pulling it is most expediently provided with a longitudinal corrugation.
In the clamp body there is an intermediate piece 12 which can slide back and forth between the pressure piece 8 and the counter yoke 10 in the interior of the clamp and guided by the legs 12 of the clamp body 5, but is axially fixed by the legs 12 laterally overlapping webs 4; it can be easily inserted into the clamp when the pressure screw is fully open and sits when the clamp is closed, e.g. B. so in the delivery condition, captive.
The surface 15 facing the pressure piece 8 forms a channel whose profile is adapted to the V-profile of the connecting rail 1, while the surface 16 facing the counter yoke 10 forms a channel whose circular cylindrical profile, like that of the channel 9 in the pressure piece 8, is based on the radius of curvature of the to be connected conductor is parked. Both the surface 15 and the surface 16 can be provided with a corrugation 17 running transversely or longitudinally to the longitudinal direction of the channel.
In a construction that is extremely economical in terms of space requirements, a double connection of cables to the connecting rails of a power distribution system is thus achieved, which offers considerable advantages at the end of modern systems.
