Fig. 1 einen Presskopf im Längsschnitt,
The invention relates to a pressing head for an extrusion press for producing a strand from viscous material, in particular from clay, with a housing and a core bracket. which has cores for creating cavities running along the strand and has plates by means of which it is attached to the inside of the housing.
Known press heads of this type have serious disadvantages. since no satisfactory solution for the attachment of the fastening plates of the core bracket has yet been found. The safest type of fastening was previously achieved by welding onto the inner wall of the housing of the press head. which is very expensive.
In this way, the dismantling of the mouth piece was also very difficult. which is unavoidable when cleaning the press head or replacing the core bracket. Above all, a plate protruding into the material flow path in this way has a flow resistance that not only impedes the flow of material. but also adversely affected the structure of the strand. This serious disadvantage, which impaired the production performance and the constant quality, could not be remedied by replacing the welded connection with a screw connection.
The object of the invention is to create a pressing head of the type mentioned at the beginning, in which the disadvantages listed above do not occur.
The press head according to the invention is characterized. that the housing has recesses on the inside. in which the plates are arranged in a supporting manner, the insides of the plates running at least approximately flush with the inside of the housing.
Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings. Show it:
1 shows a press head in longitudinal section,
FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the pressing head of FIG. 1 in the direction of flow and FIG
3 shows, on a larger scale, a second pressing head in a manner similar to that in FIG. 1.
The compression head of FIGS. 1 and 2 has a housing 1, the rear end wall 3 of which, viewed in the flow direction F, is at the outlet opening of an extruder, not shown, such as, for. B.
according to the Swiss patents 38S 830. 533 007 and 53S 357. and which contains a releasable core bracket 5 in its interior.
The housing 1 is divided along a dividing plane T running transversely to the flow direction F and has successively in the flow direction F - an inlet part 7 with an approximately rectangular cross-section. two outwardly protruding connecting flanges 9. 11 and a connection opening 12 for a Kon tnll-Nlanometer.
- a similarly shaped one. however, smaller and shorter neck pieces: steep 13 with two connecting flanges 15, 17 and finally - a plate-like mouthpiece frame 19 with an opening 33 from which the strand of viscous material emerges.
The mouthpiece-side flange 11 of the inlet part 7 is detachably connected to the inlet-side flange 15 of the mouthpiece part 13 by screws 2 (and the mouthpiece-side flange of the latter is detachably connected to the nosepiece frame 19 by screws 22.
The nosepiece part 13 and the inlet part 7 each have a side wall shaped like a truncated ramid. The side wall of the inlet part 7, however, has a larger pyramid angle and has on the inside two recesses opposite one another in a transverse direction. Every recess has. as FIG. 2 shows, a profile in the form of a rectangular triangle. its mouth-side cathetus runs transversely to the flow direction F, whereas the inlet-side second cathetus runs approximately in the flow direction F.
In this way it is achieved that each recess has sides running in the flow direction F, which merge on the inlet side into the inside of the housing and on the mouth side are delimited by a support surface running transversely to the flow direction.
As shown in FIG. 2, the core bracket 5 has three horizontal cross members 21 arranged transversely to the flow direction F. Several webs 30 protrude from each cross member in the flow direction F, and a core 32 is attached to each of their free ends. The major part of each core is thus in the opening 33 of the mouthpiece frame 19, which determines the exit cross-section of the strand.
All three horizontal cross members 21 are connected at their ends by means of a vertical plate 34. Each plate 34 has the same profile as the associated recess and fills the same with almost no play. To fasten the entire core clip 5 in the press head, fixation screws 36 which can be screwed into the recesses and are in contact with the plates 34 are provided from the outside of the housing 1.
The fact that the plates 34 are completely sunk into the recesses on the inner wall of the housing 1 is of very essential importance for the correct functioning of the press head. There are therefore no plate parts protruding from the inner wall of the housing 1 which would hinder and change the flow of material, reduce the working speed and, in particular, impair the structure of the strand.
In view of the strong forces acting on the core bracket 5 during operation and with regard to the desired constant quality of the extruded profile produced, the fact that the entire core bracket 5 can be supported on the support surfaces 23 of the recesses is very important. These support surfaces 23 simultaneously allow the correct fit of the core yoke 5 to be checked, because the bores for the fixation screws 36 can easily be designed so that the latter cannot be screwed in without the plates 34 stopping against the support surfaces 23.
The second pressing head of FIG. 3 is constructed similarly to that of FIGS. 1 and 2, but the mouthpiece part 113 and the inlet part 117 of the housing 101 have the same pyramid angle here. The main difference compared to the first pressing head of FIGS. 1 and 2, however, is that the parting plane T has been relocated back into the region of the recesses, preferably into the support surface plane of the recesses and the complementary shaped plates 134, whereby several advantages can be achieved.
In the embodiment shown with solid lines, the support surface 123 of the recess and thus also the end face of the associated plate 134 lies exactly in the division plane T. However, nothing stands in the way of the support surface being a little in front of the division plane T, i.e. H. into the flange 115 of the mouthpiece part 113, as indicated by the broken line 138. In both cases, this simplifies the manufacture of the inlet part, as a comparison of FIGS. 1 and 3 can readily be seen. Nothing stands in the way of attaching an outwardly protruding fixation strip to the part of such a plate protruding into the flange 115 or to the plate 134 shown, as indicated by the broken lines 140 and 142, respectively.
In this way, assembly is considerably simplified because the fixation bars replace the fixation screws 136, which require time, care and the use of tools to operate. In addition, this reduces the number of components, the storage and the susceptibility to failure, because the screws 36 are subject to wear and tear, which is not at all significant in the case of the integrally molded fixation strips.
The seat on the face of the plate and thus the seat of the core bracket 105 in the press head can be adjusted and maintained very precisely.
Furthermore, the removal of the core bracket 105 is also facilitated by the fixation strips, since this is already free after loosening the screws 120. What is very important here is the time saving that is achieved because the inlet part 107 does not need to be removed from the extrusion press (not shown) when the core bracket 105 is changed. The pressing head has the great advantage that the material throughput through the pressing head and thus its production output and in particular the structure of the material flow are not disturbed by parts of the plate protruding into the material flow path.
The resulting reduction in the production costs of the products while maintaining or even increasing the quality is of particular interest in the context of the year-on-year growing demand for high-quality goods.
Despite these advantages, the crimping head can be made just as simple or even simpler than known crimping heads of the type mentioned. Finally, a very significant advantage can be seen in the fact that the crimping head is largely foolproof and can be dismantled and reassembled with a minimum of effort and loss of time can. The reduction in time lost has the greatest impact, as the extrusion press has to be shut down during the replacement times.
