Abstract
Formerly signals from a sensor were converted into an alternating electrical signal, which was transformed into an impulse sequence whose frequency was measured. The individual impulses were released only where the electrical signal reached a fixed threshold value above zero. The measured value signal is now fed to a positive and a negative peak rectifier (7/7a), each connected to a voltage conductor (8/8a), which are connected to comparators (9/9a). These also receive the measured value signal direct and have their respective outlets connected to the set and reset inlets of a bistable flip-flop connected to a frequency meter. The level of the threshold value is therefore adjusted according to the amplitude of the electrical signal during the previous half-wave.
