Abstract

The W.C. cistern (20) contains an anti-syphon tank (4) which discharges through a silencing delivery pipe (6) underneath, to fill the main cistern (20). The inlet (3) to the anti-syphon tank is controlled by a valve (7) actuated by the shortest arm (21') of a three armed pivot lever (21), the longest arm (21") carrying the float (8). The third arm (21''') reacts against the hooked portion (9') of an open topped ballast tank (9) which pivots about a pin (24) suspended under the valve housing (22), and which is fed through a bleed hole (17) through the lower part of the valve housing.
