The main patent relates to a motor-driven hammer drill, in particular an electric motor, in which the motor shaft with a pinion is perpendicular to the tool axis and the pinion is followed by a gear drive that acts on a crankshaft on the one hand, which acts on the tool via a connecting rod, a plunger piston and an impact piston issued an impact movement and which on the other hand acts on a bevel gear, which gives the tool a rotary movement via the piston cylinder and the tool holder and is characterized in that on a first gear shaft, which also forms the crankshaft and which lies between the motor shaft and the hammer handle, two Store spur gears in a rotationally fixed manner, with the gear further away from the drive motor with the pinion and the other with an idler gear that is freely rotatable on the motor shaft,
Spur gear meshes, and that on the opposite side of the crankshaft in relation to the motor shaft there is a second gear shaft which carries a non-rotatably mounted bevel gear on its end remote from the engine and a non-rotatably mounted spur gear on the side facing the engine, with the latter meshes with the intermediate gear and the bevel gear with a bevel gear mounted freely rotatable but axially immovable on the piston cylinder, and that a coupling part is axially displaceable but non-rotatably mounted on the piston cylinder, this coupling part being designed so that it is arranged with a bevel gear on the piston cylinder Coupling part interacts positively and non-positively, such that
that in the event of overload the clutch is released against spring pressure and means are available for arbitrarily disengaging the rotary drive for the tool and that the housing for the piston cylinder and the gear consists of a single part to which the motor housing and the handle part are attached.
The hammer drill according to the main patent and most of the known rotary hammers have a polygonal opening to hold tools, e.g. B. a hexagon socket, which is used to transmit the rotary motion of the drive to the tool. The tool is guided through this tool holder into the area of the sealing piston actuated by the percussion piston. The tool now executes a fast forward and backward movement while working in this tool holder and must therefore always be well lubricated in this area.
The additional sealing piston present in most known rotary hammers is intended to prevent oil consumption and, above all, the penetration of sand and dust from the tool holder into the cylinder of the percussion piston. However, it is a disadvantage of this design that the hammer drill becomes longer by the length of this sealing piston. Another disadvantage is that this piston and the housing must be provided with a seal against oil loss from the inside and with a seal against the ingress of dust from the outside.
The present invention aims to remedy these shortcomings. The rotary hammer according to the invention is characterized in that the sealing piston is designed as a tool holder and for this purpose has a blind hole with an internal thread or a blind hole with a polygonal cross-section and the sealing piston can be displaced to a limited extent in the piston cylinder, but is non-rotatable, so that a protective cap is detachable on the housing on the tool mounting side is attached and a seal is arranged between the latter and the sealing piston.
Two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawing:
As a first example, Fig. 1 shows a sealing piston with an internal thread.
As a second example, FIG. 2 shows a sealing piston with a hexagon socket.
The reference symbols in the drawing correspond to those in the main patent.
The rotary hammer shown in FIG. 1 has a sealing piston 14a, which has a blind hole with a thread 40 for receiving a tool. The tools to be used must have an external thread corresponding to this internal thread 40 on their shank end part.
The sealing piston 14a can be displaced to a limited extent in the rotatable piston cylinder 22, but is mounted in a rotationally fixed manner. For this purpose, the piston has at least two longitudinal grooves 42 with a semicircular or rectangular cross section, in each of which at least one ball or roller 43 mounted in the cylinder 22 engages. The possible displacement path of the piston in the cylinder is given by the length of the grooves. The sealing piston 14a protruding from the cylinder 22 is covered by a protective cap 33a which is detachably attached to the housing 1. A seal 38a is arranged between the cylinder face, an inner shoulder of the protective cap and the sealing piston.
This seal prevents firstly the penetration of dust into the piston bearing and into the interior of the machine and secondly prevents the escape of oil from the interior of the machine.
The hammer drill shown in FIG. 2 has a sealing piston 14b, which has a blind hole with a hexagon socket 41 for holding the tool. Of course, the tools 15 to be used must occupy a shank end part with a corresponding external hexagon.
The displaceable but non-rotatable mounting of the clutch 14b in the cylinder 22 is analogous to the example shown in FIG.
In this second embodiment, however, the tool must be secured against falling out. For this purpose, the protective cap 33b is lengthened compared to the protective cap 33a (FIG. 1). In the extended part there is a manually operable eccentric 44 which, in the locking position, engages in a recess in the tool and can release it by pivoting it out.
