The object of the present invention is a transfer machine.
There are known multi-station transfer machines in which the parts to be machined, which remain stationary during machining, then move automatically from one workstation to the next for successive machining operations, the workstations being distributed. on a circle.
These machines are intended for a certain series of operations and it is difficult to adapt them to many and varied jobs.
The aim of the present invention is to create a transfer machine which, by its assembly to one or more other similar machines, allows the most diverse machining sets to be produced.
The transfer machine according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises, mounted on a frame, a headstock carrying the material to be machined and movable transversely in a guide carried by the frame, and a tool holder device for the machining of the material, the pouépe being able, during its transverse displacement, to stop in at least one position opposite the tool holder device, the whole being arranged so that, by juxtaposition of the same transfer machine, the doll can be moved towards a position in front of the tool holder device of the second machine.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of a transfer machine according to the invention and an assembly of such machines.
Fig. 1 is a schematic side view of the transfer machine.
Fig. 2 is a schematic plan view of an assembly of transfer machines.
The transfer machine shown schematically in FIG. 1 comprises a frame 1 on which is mounted a doll 2 in a guide 3, which can thus move transversely with respect to the frame 1.
The doll 2 carries the material to be machined, which can be either a bar or a blank of a part. The doll can move in the axis of the rotating spindle or, on the contrary, be fixed, the spindle alone being mobile. This material to be machined can be carried by a clamp or a spindle, the latter can be fixed relative to the headstock or be mobile. In the latter case, the part can be driven by a continuous or reciprocating rotational or translational movement or by these two combined movements.
The doll 2 can, during its movement, stop facing a tool holder device 4 mounted on a base integral with the frame 1. The device 4 can move in the axis of the rotating spindle or, at on the contrary, to be fixed, the spindle alone being mobile. As a variant, the device 4 could move transversely with respect to the frame so as to be able to perform turning operations, for example.
The device 4 carries tools 5, 6, 7 for machining the material carried by the headstock 2.
The tools can be mounted on the tool holder device 4 in a sliding manner or on a carousel and appear successively in front of the material to be machined, then machine this material. The machining can be carried out, the tool being stationary and the part to be machined mobile, or else by a tool driven by a rotational or translational movement.
The doll 2 can stop in one or more positions given by the location of the tools placed transversely on the tool holder device 4. Such an arrangement is shown in FIG. 2.
In fig. 2 are shown several transfer machine 10, 11, 12, juxtaposed and assembled so that the guide 3 of each machine is aligned with its neighbor and thus continues from machine to machine.
The dolls 2 can thus appear in front of each tool holder device 4 of the machines 10, 11. 12 and stop so that the material carried by the doll 2 is successively machined by the successive devices 4. Once the operations have been completed by the machine 12, the doll 2 is taken by a transporter, not shown. During this transport, the finished part can be ejected and the headstock 2 reloaded with a blank or a blank, or else, if the headstock 2 carries a bar to be machined, this bar can be advanced by a length corresponding to the part to be machined .
It is seen that it is possible by an assembly of several transfer machines to obtain, in a simple and economical manner, assemblies allowing the most diverse machining operations.
