The invention relates to a machine for continuously applying powdery synthetic resin to a sheet-like sheet-like structure with at least one application roller, the surface of which has recesses for receiving powder particles of the synthetic resin, with aufgesat teltem storage container for the synthetic resin powder and with a squeegee extending over the width of the applicator roller . Flat structures are not only understood to mean substances with a textile bond, but are all types of materials that can be used as carriers for synthetic resin particles.
Machines for spraying nonwovens with synthetic resins in the form of polyvinyl acetate and / or polyvinyl chloride containing synthetic resin dispersions have already become known for the production of high-frequency weldable sheet-like structures, as have machines with which preferably multi-layer layers using single and multi-needle machines with a Countless stitches penetrating the layers are provided in order to be able to introduce weld-friendly materials into the layers.
The high-frequency weldable sheet-like structures that can be produced in this way are expensive, in addition to being technically unsatisfactory, because of the uneconomical manufacturing process that is used, despite the large quantities processed. When spraying, the synthetic resin distribution on the web is more or less left to chance, while when using the needle method, the quality of the fabric is impaired. In this respect, the problem underlying the present invention is the requirement to create new and improved machines to achieve the intended purpose.
The proposed machine for solving the problem posed for continuously applying pulverförmi gem synthetic resin to a sheet-like structure with at least one application roller, the surface of which has recesses for receiving powder particles of the synthetic resin, with saddled storage container for the synthetic resin powder and with an over the applicator roll width extending doctor blade is characterized according to the invention in that either the or
the applicator roll (s) in the case of a single-roll or staggered two-roll arrangement is assigned one or one counter-roll, or in the case of a non-staggered two-roll arrangement, a second application roll is provided instead of the counter-roll, the rolls of each pair of rolls on both sides of an imaginary plane bisecting the nip, which forms the passage plane for web-shaped flat structures and is perpendicular to the connecting plane of the roller axes, are arranged.
If the applicator roller has at least in the area of taking up the particles from the storage container about room temperature or a temperature below the latter, so that the synthetic resin used as a welding aid has a tendency to stick, which occur at higher temperatures and could disrupt the transition process from the supply to the surface structure , are suppressed, and there are heating devices in the area of the transfer to the sheet-like fabric, unless temperature increases of the fabric by radiation and possibly conduction or convection are sufficient, the desired transfer of the particles occurs on the fabric to be covered with them , especially then,
if each counter roller is designed to be movable in the direction of the applicator roller assigned to it and is equipped with a device by means of which pressure forces can be generated in said direction. If the pressure forces generated in this way are insufficient and thermal measures are required in order to be able to fix the particles on the sheet-like sheet-like structure, this can be done by accommodating a heating device in each of the counter-rollers assigned to an application roller,
by means of which the upper surface of the counter roller can be heated to higher temperatures than the surface of the associated application roller. This has the advantage that the heat conduction is transferred from the upper surface of the counter roller through the web-shaped surface structure to the boundary surfaces of the synthetic resin particles that are opposite the web-shaped surface structure, while the particle boundary surfaces facing away from this surface structure are not heated up because the the particulate resin is a poor conductor of heat.
There are high adhesive forces at the points of contact between the particles and the heated, web-like surface structure, which result in the particles leaving their position in the recesses of the application roller and onto the web-like surface structure under the effect of the entrained adhesive forces pass with the distribution that is prescribed by the position of the recesses on the application roller.
The detachment of the particles from the recesses of the application roller, on the other hand, does not cause any difficulties because, as stated, the formation of adhesive forces there, which could impair or even exclude the transfer process, is avoided. On the other hand, there is the possibility of arranging cooling devices in each application roller, so that at least in the area of the pick-up of the particles in the recesses of the application roller, the formation of adhesive forces is avoided, which could impair or prevent the pick-up process.
But since there are also synthetic resins which only exhibit the behavior at higher temperatures which favors the processes to which the particles are intended to be subjected, it can also be useful to have suitable heating devices in the applicator roller or rollers Provide place, wherein it has proven to be advantageous to use as heating devices tubes through which heated liquids, for example heated oil, flow.
This means that means are named which, for example, in the form of red radiators, tunnel ovens, hot nozzles or the like, are capable of plasticizing and sintering discrete synthetic resin powder deposits on the sheet-like planar structure.
For the same reason, it may be desirable to switch on devices for re-cooling, for example in the form of cold air nozzles, after each applicator roller in order to exert the effects on the sheet-like structures to be treated that must be implemented so that these sheet-like structures in the Use the properties that matter to the user.
Machines of the type mentioned here can also be characterized by the presence of a conveyor belt which is connected to a coating point which is each formed by an application roller with an associated counter roller. Such a conveyor belt is expediently used when the sheet-like fabric itself does not have the load-bearing strength required to withstand the most varied of treatments without damage. Such a sheet-like fabric is present, for example, when extremely thin sheets are to be coated in machines that are characterized by the training proposed here.
Here, for example, there is the risk that the jet pressures generated by nozzles may lead to a breakdown of the structure of the foam. A conveyor belt, on the other hand, is able to absorb such treatment forces without it being necessary to refrain from treatments that are extremely advantageous for other reasons. Other features that characterize the machine best hen, for example, the arrangement of a calender within the area of a treatment line connected to an applicator roll, along which the mentioned thermal agents, nozzles, etc. occur.
What has been done for the area of a treatment line connected to an application roller applies mutatis mutandis to other treatment lines, such as those that occur, for example, when one side of the sheet-like structure was coated first, after which the other side of the same sheet-like structure is subjected to the same treatment.
When the sheet is guided vertically, however, it is advisable not to provide such treatment sections one behind the other in the direction of movement of the sheet, but here one will take away from the offset of the roller pairs, rather arrange them so that the rollers of each roller pair are one on both sides imaginary, the nip bisecting the plane, which forms the passage plane for the sheet-like structure and is perpendicular to the connecting plane of the roller axes.
If a treatment line has a calender, this can be used to produce composite webs by means of pulling in at least one wide Ren sheet-like structure and applying it to the first sheet-like structure on the calender.
In the event that a second application roller takes the place of the opposing roller of a first application roller, direct heating of both application rollers will be avoided, because otherwise the particles would develop a tendency to stick, which would interfere with the transfer process.
Such impairments are to be avoided if the machine is designed in such a way that it is used to heat the fabric independently of the application rollers to the required temperatures, with infrared radiators for example, which in turn generate the temperatures in the transmission area that are required for true-to-distribution transmission Provide particles from the applicator rollers on the surface structure.
Even when the back of the fabric is covered with synthetic resin particles, the arrangement of an endless conveyor belt is useful, along the course of which treatment devices in the form of infrared rays, heat supply and removal devices, tunnel ovens or the like are to be provided in order to prevent this fabric that has not yet been reinforced is overstressed by further layers.
If this second conveyor belt section is completed by one or more calenders, it is possible to equip these calenders with feed devices for other substances, including nettle, cotton fabric or foam sheets if the base itself is made in the manner already mentioned Nonwovens, nonwovens, woven fabrics, bobbins, braids, knitted fabrics, knitted fabrics, nets, needle-punched, sticky studs,
Flock textiles and / or other, uncoated or coated textiles, unless paper, cardboard, foils made of plastics, in particular synthetic resins, leather, synthetic leather, cotton wool, felt, foam and other materials form the substances that form one with the fabric Composite to be united.
If calenders were mentioned above, this does not mean that adhesive connections that can be produced by such machines make the property of certain synthetic resins of being effective as so-called welding mediators in high-frequency welding unnecessary. On the contrary, because the machine is designed according to the suggestions made here, it is possible, because of the high economic efficiency guaranteed by the machine due to the economical consumption of such welding aids, to make them of the highest quality by making use of the possibility of making them resistant to washing and cleaning agents to train.
For the reasons mentioned, composites that are produced using the new machine are not more expensive than those that do not have the stated properties of detergent and cleaning agent resistance, so that the machine has an area of application in which it can, for example for the manufacture of underwear, was not usable with success.
Another advantage of the machine is the possibility of creating a flat structure which, despite the most economical arrangement of synthetic resin particles, is characterized by the fact that the composite material can also be profiled during the production of the weld seams, despite the fact that the fillers to be applied to the flat structure have high structural elasticity own, which corresponds to a strong resilience.
The connection strength of the high-frequency weld seams is sufficient, despite the fact that a machine designed according to the present proposals applies only those small amounts of particles that are required to produce the required connection strength.
Further details and advantages of the invention are shown with reference to drawings.
1 shows a machine which is used to produce a composite web, in which synthetic resin particles are transferred to a web-like sheet in a predetermined distribution and arrangement so that layers of fabric can be placed on both sides of the sheet in the same machine. What is not shown is that such a composite web can then be further processed and, in particular, profiled in a certain way by means of high-frequency welding seams.
Fig. 2 shows a smaller machine basically the same training, with an additional device in the IN ANY, which makes it possible to create another layer of fabric on the sheet-like structure.
Fig. 3 shows a plan view of a portion of the Gra vation, which has an application roller to achieve that a true to engraving transfer of the particles is achieved on a sheet-like surface structure, the processing of which the machine is provided.
Fig. 4 shows a schematic representation of the execution of a machine for the case that the structure is covered with synthetic resin particles on the boundary surfaces, in an arrangement and distribution that is determined by the engravings of the two application rollers provided for covering in is predetermined in a certain way.
In Fig. 1, 1 denotes a roll made of a thin cellular or foam film, which is to be processed into a sheet-like surface structure in the form of a welding insert or pad serving as a finishing means.
In the two-roller arrangement 2, 3, the first roller is an application roller for the synthetic resin powder. For this purpose, the surface 21 of the roller 2 is engraved or engraved with countless recesses and wart-shaped elevations.
structured, the recesses have the shape of small bowls, which are designed according to size, shape, depth and spacing as well as arrangement so that they can each receive at least one particle of dusty, powdery or granular synthetic resin, the synthetic resin being, for example, a ternary copolyamide of the nylon 6/6, 6/12 type comes into consideration, as is available as a commercial product of modified polyamides, the synthetic resin powder being in a storage container above the roller 2.
The container 4 has a doctor blade 41 which, in conjunction with the surface structure 21 of the roller 2, ensures that the recesses are filled with synthetic resin as the roller rotates in the direction indicated by the arrow, while the excess is wiped off. The roller 2 has a cylinder jacket mounted on rollers, which encloses a stationary tube, which has perforations, via which compressed air can be supplied, for example, which flows out to the storage container 4, so that the structure 21 when in front of the discharge opening of the Reservoir 4 is cooled ge.
As a result, the tendency of the synthetic resin particles to stick together can be temporarily canceled, so that the recesses of the structure 21 are filled without difficulty. Cup-shaped recesses can also be replaced by wart-shaped elevations, the spacing of which is determined so that they adjoin a recess that can in turn serve to accommodate a synthetic resin grain or possibly several of them, with such aggregations of the grains also being artificial can be produced by agglomeration.
In such a case, the squeegee 41 is expediently replaced by a roller squeegee which, in addition to a heavy core, has an elastically resilient jacket which favors the squeegeeing of the synthetic resin into the structure 21.
Opposite the roller 2 is the pressure roller 3 as an abutment. The yoke 32, which is under the action of the spring 33, which is supported against a fixed abutment 34, rests on its rotating shaft 31. The ring cylinders 35, which are guided between the sliding blocks 36, 37, are pushed onto the ends of the rotating shaft 31. In this way, a contact or pressure is exerted on the sheet-like sheet-like structure 11, for example made of cellular or foam material, which is introduced into the gap 38, 39 between the rollers 2 and 3.
At the common points of contact of the rollers 2 and 3 and the cellular or foam web 11, a further, stationary pipeline can be provided in the cavity of the drum-shaped roller 2, which has perforations directed towards the mentioned common point of contact. If this second pipeline is connected to a hot air source, higher temperatures occur at the point of contact than in the rest of the area of the roller 2.
As a result, the absorbed synthetic resin particles become sticky, so that they adhere to the cellular or foam sheet 11 and are carried along by it, which results in the desired covering in a structurally accurate distribution of the synthetic resin particles.
Because the cellular or foam web 11 is under the application or contact pressure of the roller 3, elements of the cellular or foam web 11 penetrate into the recesses or into the spaces between the wart-shaped elevations, lie against the synthetic resin particles and take them along with their mechanically structured structure.
Below the devices 1, 2, 3 and 4 there is an endless conveyor belt 5 with further treatment devices for the sheet-like structure 11 arranged in the region of its length. The conveyor belt 51 runs for this purpose over the rollers 52, 53, de Ren one is driven. The conveyor belt is arranged in such a way that the cellular or foam web 11 is just able to pass through between the lower apex of the roller 2 and the upper run of the conveyor belt 51.
In the direction of movement of the cellular or foam web behind the roller or drum 2 there are infrared radiators 53, which put the captured particles of the cell or foam web 11 in a state in which a fixation occurs. A treatment section 54 follows, for example in the form of a tunnel oven. The cell or foam web 11 placed on the conveyor belt 51 passes through the device 54 to the required length, which is dimensioned such that the desired state of the cell or foam web and the particles occurs.
For example, the web and particles can be exposed to the hot air streams 55, the temperature and the amount of air being set such that the synthetic resin particles are at least plasticized, possibly also sintered or sintered through.
Since the increased tempera tures of the cellular or foam sheet 11 are undesirable in the further treatments, cold air nozzles are available at 56, 57, which restore the room temperature of a heated cell or foam sheet 11 with its one-sided synthetic resin particle coating.
The devices 6 with storage container 61 for a further supply of synthetic resin particles, squeegee arrangement 62, roller 63 with surface structure 64, feed or pressure rollers 65, conveyor belt arrangement 66, infrared radiators 67 and tunnel oven 68 are used for rear coating.
The end of the device is formed by a double calender 7 with the calender rolls 71 and 72. Since the particle coating of the sheet-like structure 11 present on both sides in the tunnel oven 68 has reached adhesive strength, it is possible in the areas of the rolls 71, 72 The nip formed to introduce the textile fabrics 81, 82, which are pulled off the rolls 83, 84. The result is a composite sheet that has the desired properties.
Fig. 2 shows the connection of a much smaller and simpler plant for the production of equipment. The machine of Fig. 2 has a U-shaped frame men, which is open to the foundation and labeled 101 on.
The upper boundary surface 102 of the leg 103 closing the U serves to support a number of devices following a wafer-thin sheet-like structure 104 made of cellulose or a polyurethane ester foam with a foam thickness between 1.00 and 1.50 mm while the pulp is much thinner.
Upstream in the way of the sheet-like structure 104 is the devices that are arranged on the upper boundary surface 102 of the leg 103 serving as a table of the frame 101, first a tensioning and stretching device 105, so that a completely flat and smooth course of the sheet-like structure 104 is secured. Via the deflecting rollers 106, the sheet-like flat structure 104 is fed to the first press roller 107, which is arranged on the table 102.
The cylinder piston unit 108 with the piston rod 110 engaging on the axis 109 of the press roller 107 is provided to generate the required pressing pressure. The press roll 109 rests against a surface-structured center roll 112 rotating in the direction of arrow 111 and equipped with cooling and heating devices (not shown).
As in the case of FIG. 1, the structuring consists of the arrangement of recesses on the circumferential surface of the roller 112, the size and spacing of which are adapted to a synthetic resin particle of medium size and, based on a majority of the same, to the distribution to be produced.
It is therefore on the surface of the roller 112 in front of existing, in the manner of the dots of a dot matrix derfollowing, linearly arranged recesses, which are essentially not larger than the dome of a synthetic resin grain, which is assumed to be conical and whose size is in is generally variable between 80 and 150 microns, with no exceptions with respect to smaller or larger powder grains are excluded. Such a synthetic resin powder is fed to the storage container 113, which is located above the structured roller 112.
Rolling and scraping we kende doctor blades 114 are provided to ensure that the structured recesses on the surface of the roller 112 is not supplied with more synthetic resin powder than corresponds to the overall combined absorption capacity of the roller 112 when practically always min at least one grain of powder is provided.
Since the web-shaped sheet-like structure 104 runs into the inlet gap 115 between the rollers 107 and 112, after entering the inlet gap 115 it covers the lower hemisphere of the roller 112 including the granules of synthetic resin powder, so that those in the recesses of the roller surface structure absorbed synthetic resin particles can not leave their position even if the grains cannot maintain their position due to lack of or insufficient adhesive forces.
The press roller 116, which is also provided with cooling or heating devices, operates under operating conditions in which the sheet-like structure 104, including the synthetic resin particles, is removed from the roller 112 through the combination of mechanical and thermal effects. To exert mechanical effects, a piston-cylinder arrangement 117 is again present, which acts on the bearing shaft 119 of the press roller 116 via the piston rod 118.
In order to exert thermal effects, the cooling and / or heating devices (not shown) mentioned above are provided, the temperature of the surface of the roller 116 being set higher than the temperature of the structured surface of the roller 112 in order to ensure that the in the recesses of the surface structure of the roller 112 arranged synthetic resin powder granules from the surface of the roller 112 on the web-shaped sheet 104 form.
If, however, a finishing means produced in this way is to be combined with another layer to form a composite material using the existing connec tion tendency of the finishing means or with partial or complete restoration of the same, this layer, which is for example a foam layer, can be in the form of an endless one Windings may be present on the spool 124 which is supported by the supports 125 of the frame 101. The layer of the composite material intended to be combined with the finishing agent 104 is designated by 126.
It is fed via the deflecting and tensioning roller 127 to the inlet gap 128 between the press roller 116 and a further pressure roller 129 provided for this purpose. The tension roller 127 is under the influence of the tension lever 130, to which either a piston-cylinder arrangement or a tension spring 131 are articulated. The joint 132, which in turn forms the end of a pivot lever 133 which is articulated at 134 to the frame 101 or to the piston-cylinder arrangement 117, is used to pivot the clamping lever 130.
In place of the piston-cylinder arrangement 108 and 117, spring or weight-loading arrangements can of course also occur, the spring tensions being adjustable or the weights and / or their lever arms being designed to be variable. A driving device for the whole is illustrated at 135.
For cooling and / or heating, liquid cooling and heating media, for example in the form of liquid brines, oils, diphenyl, polyglycols and other inert liquids, are used without direct cooling, for example by Peltier elements or directly acting heating devices, for example in the form of electrical heating coils, steam pipes, etc.
Fig. 3 shows the manner in which synthetic resin particles transferred to the base, corresponding approximately to the Gra vur of the engraved rollers illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 2 and 4 and the engraved rollers illustrated at 12 in FIG. 2, form a line grid in which the same Fields occurring on the side edges, which have the shape of parallelograms, are outlined. These fields have been designated 501, 502, 503, 504 and so on in FIG. The fields themselves are not covered with synthetic resin particles.
However, the fields 501, 502 etc. are bordered by coating strips of small width running in the form of the line grids 510, 511, 513, 514 etc. and 521, 522, 523, 524, 526 etc. The parallelograms have opposite side edges of the same length.
4 shows a possible embodiment of the machine in the event that a sheet-like sheet-like structure that becomes an intermediate layer is to be covered with synthetic resin particles on both sides. The facilities used for this basically correspond to the design of the gravier th rollers 2 and 6 in FIG. 1. It can be seen that storage containers 602, 603 for the synthetic resin particles are in turn available with which the sheet-like structure 601, the one from top to bottom directed movement has to be occupied. The doctor blade devices have been designated with 604.
These so-called doctor blades can also be replaced by roller blades. The openings 606, 607 of the reservoir are roller rings 608, 609 opposite, which are supported on their inner circumference by the support rollers 610, 611 from. Below the mouths 606, 607 of the supply container 602, 603 are channels of segment-shaped design 612, 613, through whose cavities cooling air flows.
In addition to the cooling air ducts 612, 613, there are steam pipes 614, 615 in the cavities 616, 617 of the roller rings 608, 609 in such a way that the sheet-like fabric 611 is heated to a temperature when it passes through the gap 616, 617 formed by the roller rings 608, 609 at which the synthetic resin particles taken up at 606, 607 from the storage containers 602, 603 begin to plasticize. Such an arrangement therefore means that the powdery synthetic resin particles in the storage containers 602, 607 are accommodated at relatively low temperatures in the engravings (not shown) on the outer circumferences 618, 619 of the roller rings 608, 609.
As a result of these low temperatures, the particles have no tendency to stick, so they remain free-flowing and they therefore easily find their way into the engravings provided for them, i.e. This means that the particles are distributed exactly as corresponds to the grid of lines in FIG. In this state, the roller ring peripheries 618, 619 come into contact with the carrier 601.
Since the roller rings 608, 609 have the pressure devices illustrated in FIG. 1 at 31-37 and since the plasticization of the particles beginning under the influence of the steam pipes 614, 615 gives them a high tendency to stick, the particles are transferred to the boundary surfaces of the carrier 601, which is indicated at 620, 621.
