Fig. 2 eine Variante.
The present invention relates to a method for relocating stored goods from unilaterally open Rzg.'en, in which the stored goods are captured on the shelf and fed to a conveyor. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out this method, which has a conveying element attached to a transport element with endlessly circulating conveying means.
Most piece goods, for example larger boxes, cardboard boxes or parts packed in boxes, could only be handled with difficulty in the automatic transfer to filling stations, palletizing machines and especially in shelf storage compartments, mainly caused by the use of the commonly used gripping devices and manipulators have been. A typical disadvantage, for example, is the large space requirement.
Since the gripping of the goods has so far mostly taken place at the height of the center of gravity, a considerable free space had to be provided laterally and possibly also above the goods so that the gripping tools of the transfer devices could even grasp the goods to be removed.
Another problem is that the maximum pressure that can be exerted on the goods can be very different, depending on whether it is thin-walled cardboard boxes with a relatively low weight or heavy, stable wooden boxes. Finally, it should be pointed out that even the best devices of this type known so far had to cover relatively long distances in order to detect the piece goods and e.g. pull out of a shelf. However, this adversely affects the maximum rate of turnover and thus, for example, the economic viability of a storage space that is only open on one side to a considerable extent.
The aim of the present invention is to propose a method with which these disadvantages can be largely avoided. It was based on the requirements that both light, thin-walled and heavy, stable piece goods should be handled with one and the same transfer device and that, in the interests of optimal utilization of the storage spaces, only the smallest possible free space around the individual goods is required that must be. Finally, for an economically interesting way of working, it is necessary that the transfer device does not cover long distances when it collects and delivers the goods.
All these requirements are met with the method of the type mentioned at the beginning, which is characterized in that the stored goods are brought into an inclined position by applying a friction conveyor in the area of an edge and pulled out of the shelf by actuating the friction conveyor until its center of gravity is above the starting point of the friction conveyor is, whereupon the further transport of the subsequent conveyor takes place.
The goods can either be tilted by the friction conveying elements themselves by pushing them under the support surface of the piece goods and lifting them up, or it is possible to push the appropriately designed friction conveying elements between the bearing surface of the stored goods and the bottom surface of the shelf in order to tilt the stored goods put.
The device suitable for carrying out the method has a transport element for the removal of the goods to be removed from storage and a conveying element which is attached to this transport element and is provided with endlessly circulating conveying means. According to the invention, it is characterized in that the conveying element is arranged on the conveying element such that it can be displaced in the horizontal and vertical direction and is provided with one or more drivable friction rollers at least at one end.
There are numerous possibilities for the practical training of the facility. The conveyor element can for example be provided with endlessly revolving chains deflected at both ends, while the friction rollers can be fastened in a rotationally fixed manner on the axis of the deflection rollers and can be driven together with them. In the case of a one-sided bearing element, it is sufficient if such friction rollers are attached to only one end of the conveying element. If, on the other hand, a warehouse is to be served which is provided with shelves on opposite sides, it is expedient to provide the conveyor element with friction rollers at both ends. The direction of rotation of both the conveying means and the friction rollers must be reversible.
If the stored goods are to be tilted between the support surface and the shelf by pushing the conveyor elements, it is an advantage. to provide the conveyor member with a wedge-like extension arranged at its end or at both ends. The friction rollers can be mounted in this, with several of them expediently being provided which have different diameters. In principle, it is possible here either to couple the friction rollers with the conveying means, so that a separate drive is not required, or to provide separate drive elements for the friction rollers.
Embodiments of the proposed device are shown in the accompanying drawings, with the aid of which the proposed method is to be explained in more detail below.
Show it:
La and Ib show the schematic process sequence in two phases, and
Fig. 2 shows a variant.
In FIGS. 1 a and 1 b, the transport element is indicated schematically and denoted by 1. It carries a conveyor element 2, which essentially consists of deflection rollers 3 and an endless conveyor belt 3 ', which parts are stored in a frame not shown in detail.
Such a transport member can advantageously be used, as it has been described in the applicant's patent no. 521273. This uses an endlessly rotating chain as a conveyor, which is supported by a closed box profile.
In Fig. La it is indicated by dashed lines that the conveyor member is laterally displaceable. If, as shown in the drawing, opposing storage locations 7 and 7 'are present, a displaceability in both directions must of course be ensured. To control the displacement movement, there are a number of limit switches 4, 4 ', 5 and 5' designed as load sensors, which determine the position of the stored goods in relation to the conveyor element. The piece goods to be transported are finally labeled 6 or 6 '.
As can be seen from Fig. Lb, the transport member 1 can be moved in height together with the conveyor member 2, which is indicated by arrows. In order to outsource a piece goods 6 resting on the storage space 7, which protrudes slightly above the bottom surface of the shelf, it is first necessary to position the transport element so that the surface of the conveying means comes to lie below the support surface of the piece goods 6. The entire conveying element can then be shifted transversely in the direction of the piece goods to be grasped until the friction rollers 8 arranged coaxially with the deflection rollers 3 on the conveying element 2 are below the part of the piece goods 6 protruding over the storage compartment.
The transport element 1 together with the conveying element 2 is then raised until the goods 6 to be removed from the shelf are lifted by tilting them around the rear transverse edge. The subsequent rotary movement of the friction rollers pulls the item 6 out of the storage compartment until it finally tilts around the friction roller when it is below the center of gravity and comes to rest on the conveyor of the conveyor element 2, through which it can be moved.
The conveying element 2 can now be withdrawn again into its rest position and the goods 6 are transported away with the aid of the conveying element 1.
The drawing clearly shows that the extension path of the conveyor element is only very short, which enables rapid work cycles. Since the goods are only tilted at a very small angle, the supporting force of the friction roller is greater than that of the bearing edge of the goods on the shelf, so that effective friction between the friction roller and the stored goods is supported.
Another possibility for carrying out the method is shown in FIG. 2. The transport element 1 is again provided with a lateral, displaceable conveyor element 2, which, however, is provided with a wedge-shaped extension 9 arranged at its end and adjoining the deflection roller 3. In this extension 9 three friction rollers 8 are mounted.
The transport element is brought to a height such that the tip of the wedge-shaped extension 9 lies exactly in the plane of the support surface of the piece goods 6. A lateral displacement of the conveyor element 2 has the effect that the wedge-shaped extension 9 penetrates into the space between the piece goods 6 and the storage location 7, the former being tilted around its rear edge. A stop 10 prevents the goods 6 from slipping away. As soon as the extension 9 has penetrated sufficiently deeply, the goods 6 rests against the friction rollers 8 and are drawn by them from the storage compartment 7 onto the conveying means of the conveyor element 2.
According to the proposed method and using the proposed device, it has now become possible to optimally utilize the existing storage space, since no large dead spaces have to be left free around the stored goods that would allow gripping organs to move in. The goods are removed from storage with great reliability, which makes this proposed method very suitable for automatically operating relocating devices. Due to the small displacement paths of the storage organs, a rapid process sequence is achieved, which contributes significantly to an economical operation of an automatic warehouse.
