Description
Vorrichtung zur Züchtung von Gewebezellen auf der Oberfläche von Trägerkörpern
Die Erfindung betrifft eine weitere Verbesserung der Vorrichtung zur Züchtung von Gewebezellen auf der Oberfläche von Trägerkörpern gemäss dem Patentanspruch des Hauptpatentes. Gegenstand des Hauptpatentes ist eine Vorrichtung, die durch einen zylindrischen Behälter gekennzeichnet ist, in dem ein vertikal förderndes Organ angeordnet ist, das von einem zylindrischen Leitrohr umfasst wird, welches nicht bis ans obere Ende des Behälters reicht und am unteren Ende mit Öffnungen versehen ist, während zwischen Leitrohr und Behälter Füllkörper vorhanden sind, die grösser sind als die öffnungen im unteren Teil des Leitrohrs. Das vertikal fördernde Organ ist in bevorzugter Ausführung als Schraubenpumpe ausgeführt, welche durch einen Motor mit drehzahl- und drehrichtungsvariablem Getriebe angetrieben wird.
Es hat sich gezeigt, dass bei der Kultur der Gewebezellen in einer solchen Vorrichtung das Zellenwachstum grösser ist in jenem Bereich, in welchem das Kulturmedium bei der Umwälzung zunächst einströmt. Wenn wie im Hauptpatent beschrieben - die Drehrichtung der Pumpe so eingestellt ist, dass die Flüssigkeit im Leitrohr von unten nach oben steigt, so werden die Kugeln in der obersten Schicht am meisten und in den nach unten folgenden Schichten weniger stark bewachsen. Es hat sich gezeigt, dass der Bewuchs gleichmässig auf die Glaskugeln verteilt werden kann, die Ausbeute also grösser wird, wenn die Drehrichtung der Umwälzpumpe von Zeit zu Zeit umgekehrt wird.
Die Zusatzerfindung besteht darin, dass im Antriebsteil des vertikal fördernden Organs Mittel vorgesehen sind, durch welche die Drehrichtung des vertikal fördernden Organs in festen Zeitabständen umgekehrt wird.
Eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform dieser Vorrichtung ist mit einem Zeitschalter versehen, welcher die Drehrichtung des Antriebsmotors jeweils nach einer durch Versuche zu bestimmenden Zeit, etwa 1 bis 2 Stunden, umkehrt.
PATENTANSPRUCH
Vorrichtung zur Züchtung von Gewebezellen auf der Oberfläche von Trägerkörpern gemäss Patentanspruch des Hauptpatentes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass im Antriebsteil des vertikal födernden Organs in festen Zeitabständen umgekehrt wird.
UNTERANSPRUCH
Vorrichtung nach Patentanspruch, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass im Antriebsteil des vertikal fördernden Organs ein Elektromotor vorgesehen ist, dessen Drehrichtung durch einen Zeitschalter regelmässig umgekehrt wird.

The invention relates to a further improvement of the device for growing tissue cells on the surface of support bodies according to the claim of the main patent. The subject of the main patent is a device which is characterized by a cylindrical container in which a vertically conveying element is arranged, which is surrounded by a cylindrical guide tube which does not reach to the upper end of the container and is provided with openings at the lower end, while between the guide tube and the container there are filling bodies which are larger than the openings in the lower part of the guide tube. In a preferred embodiment, the vertically conveying element is designed as a screw pump, which is driven by a motor with a gearbox that is variable in speed and direction of rotation.
It has been shown that when the tissue cells are cultivated in such a device, the cell growth is greater in the area in which the culture medium initially flows in during the circulation. If, as described in the main patent, the direction of rotation of the pump is set in such a way that the liquid in the guide tube rises from bottom to top, the balls in the top layer will be overgrown most and less in the layers following down. It has been shown that the growth can be evenly distributed over the glass spheres, i.e. the yield is greater if the direction of rotation of the circulation pump is reversed from time to time.
The additional invention consists in that means are provided in the drive part of the vertically conveying member, by means of which the direction of rotation of the vertically conveying member is reversed at fixed time intervals.
An example embodiment of this device is provided with a time switch which reverses the direction of rotation of the drive motor after a time to be determined by experiments, about 1 to 2 hours.

Apparatus for growing tissue cells on the surface of carrier bodies according to claim of the main patent, characterized in that the drive part of the vertically conveying organ is reversed at fixed time intervals.

Device according to patent claim, characterized in that an electric motor is provided in the drive part of the vertically conveying element, the direction of rotation of which is regularly reversed by a timer.
