Fig. 1 eine Luntendüse im Längsschnitt, und
Match nozzle
The invention relates to a funnel nozzle, with an inlet part and an outlet part, the opening of the ester tapers into the nozzle interior, a cylindrical nozzle opening extending inward from the outlet opening of the outlet part, with a compressed air line and an annular channel connected to it and an annular gap extending from the latter in the shape of a cone to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle, which opens out in the nozzle opening, the products of the cone being inclined at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle.
Such a match nozzle is known from Swiss patents 485 874 and 488 996. The fuse nozzle made known by the first-mentioned patent specification is used exclusively for introducing a fleece, reshaping this fleece into a fuse and transporting this fuse to downstream sliver conveying members. From the other known patent, a fuse nozzle is known which works as a measuring element for continuous monitoring of the thickness of the fuse. In this case, too, the cone-shaped annular gap makes it easier to transport the fuses through the nozzle. This effect is only of secondary importance with this known match nozzle.
The first-mentioned known match nozzle is therefore intended for transporting the match and the second-mentioned known match nozzle is intended for measuring the match while at the same time facilitating the transport of the match.
The structure of the first-mentioned known fuse nozzle is such that the thickness of the fuse cannot be measured satisfactorily with it if this nozzle should be used for this purpose in a new use. The construction of the second-mentioned known match nozzle is such that it does not allow for a satisfactory threading of the fleece and a satisfactory transport of the match.
The aim is to create a fuse with which both the threading of the fleece and the further transport of the fuse and the measurement of the thickness of the fuse can be achieved in a satisfactory manner.
The Lunt nozzle according to the invention is characterized in that the length of the cylindrical nozzle opening is two to four times greater than its diameter.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. Show it:
Fig. 1 is a Luntendüse in longitudinal section, and
2 shows a fleece bundling device upstream of the inlet part of the Luntendüse in a plan view.
The Luntendüse according to FIG. 1 has an input part 1, an output part 2 and a compressed air line 3. The output part 2 sits on a cylindrical extension 4 of the input part 1 and rests on a flat surface 6 of the part 1 with a spacer ring 5 in between.
Between these two parts 1 and 2, an annular channel 7 and a cone-shaped annular gap 8 are formed.
The opening 9 of the part 1 tapers towards the inside of the nozzle, up to a cylindrical opening area 10 of the part 1. The outlet part 2 is completely penetrated by a cylindrical opening 11. The Luntendüse shown in Fig. 1 thus has a nozzle opening consisting of sections 9, 10 and 11. At the transition from the cylindrical section 10 to the cylindrical section 11, the nozzle opening is enlarged in steps.
The annular gap 8 opens into this step-shaped shoulder. The latter lies between a conical jacket 12 of part 1 and a conical jacket 13 of part 2. Both the generatrix of the conical jacket 12 and that of the conical jacket 13 are inclined at an acute angle to the nozzle longitudinal axis 14. The generatrices of the conical jacket 12 enclose an angle α with the axis 14 and the generatrices of the conical jacket 13 enclose an angle 3 with the axis 14. The angle qx is larger than the angle 9. As a result of this measure, the annular gap 8 becomes increasingly thicker from the annular channel 7 towards the opening into the nozzle opening 11. This widening of the annular gap 8 is chosen so that the annular surface of the annular gap 8 is at least approximately constant over its length.
Since the diameter of the annular gap 8 is constantly becoming smaller towards its cone tip, the thickness of the annular gap must accordingly become increasingly thick in order to obtain the same annular area, that is to say the cross-sectional area of the annular gap. If the angle C4 is e.g. 320 is chosen, the angle B should be about 300. The angles a and 3 can also be chosen larger, up to about 450.
The length of the cylindrical nozzle opening 11 is two to four times greater than its diameter. In an exemplary embodiment that has proven itself, the nozzle opening 11 was three times longer than its diameter and the angles X and, 3 had the aforementioned 320 and 300, respectively.
The two imaginary tips 15 and 16 of the conical shells 12 and 13 lie on the nozzle longitudinal axis 14 essentially on half the length of the nozzle opening 11.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, a fleece bundling device 17 is connected upstream of the input part 1. The latter is designed as part of a funnel and provided with a fleece sliding surface 18. The latter extends radially towards the entrance part 1. The device 17 can consist of a thin sheet metal or stiff plastic and has essentially the shape of a shovel, with two outer edges 19 and 20 being bent up towards the inlet part 1.
The operation with the match nozzle is as follows:
Compressed air is fed to the Luntendüse through the line 3, which then flows from the annular channel 7 via the conical annular gap 8 into the nozzle opening 11 and from here out of the nozzle. A negative pressure is generated in the nozzle openings 9 and 10 by this flow direction. If the nozzle according to FIG. 1 is not equipped with a fleece bundling device 17, the fleece arriving from the left in FIG. 1 is bundled by hand by an operator and brought to the nozzle opening 9. Here, the incoming fleece is conveyed further into the interior of the nozzle by the suction force and, as a result of the tapering opening 9, is shaped into a sliver and conveyed to the outside through the opening 11 at the other end of the nozzle.
Since an operator is necessary for threading the fiber fleece, one can speak of a semi-automatic fleece insertion at most in this case. The sliver emerging from the opening 11 is then picked up in a manner not shown by the calender rollers connected downstream of the sliver nozzle and thus conveyed further.
To thread the fleece into the Luntendüse for the first time, air at a pressure of 0.8 atmospheres is passed through line 3. This large overpressure results in a large suction force and the fleece can be grasped quickly and safely. Once the formed sliver has been grasped by the calender rolls mentioned, the pressure in the line 3 is reduced to 0.4 atmospheres, so that of course the suction force of the nozzle is also reduced accordingly. The promotion of the fleece and the fuse is now effected jointly by the calender rollers and the fuse nozzle. The fuse nozzle has a variable drive for the fleece or for the fuse.
Once the calender rollers have picked up the sliver and transport it, the work of the sliver nozzle as an inlet nozzle for the fleece is almost complete; the low overpressure of 0.4 atm only provides little support for the fleece or sliver conveyance. The task area of the match nozzle is now shifted to the measurement of the manufactured match. The fuse nozzle now works as a measuring element for continuous monitoring of the thickness of the fuse, and can also be used for monitoring the broken fuse. The match nozzle then works essentially like the measuring element known from the Swiss patent 488 996 mentioned at the beginning.
If, as the fuse passes through the line 3, compressed air at 0.4 atmospheres is fed to the fuse nozzle, a certain back pressure forms in the line 3. The pressure conditions in the line 3 adjust to a static state with the thickness of the fuse remaining the same. If the fuse now breaks, the backwater in the line 3 collapses, and this change is perceived as an impulse via an organ (not shown) and used to shut down the machines upstream and downstream of the fuse. In this mode of operation, the fuse nozzle serves as a fuse to prevent the fuse from breaking. With the match nozzle it is still possible to work in such a way that when the static pressure conditions in line 3 change to a lower value, but not until the backflow completely collapses,
a given impulse is used not to switch off the aforementioned machines, but to immediately build up a greater pressure again in line 3, e.g. to the 0.8 atmospheric pressure that prevailed when threading the fleece. Such a mode of operation can thus have the effect that when the thickness of the fuse decreases by e.g. 20% with an increased drive through the air jacket in the gap 8, an increased suction force acts on the fleece, so that increased fleece suction and thus an increased build-up of the fuse takes place until the desired thickness of the fuse is available again. Then the pressure in the line 3 is reduced again to the mentioned 0.4 atmospheres.
This last-mentioned possibility of working with the Luntendüse is particularly favored by the fleece bundling device 17 shown in FIG. As a result of the funnel-shaped connection of the fleece sliding surface 18 to the inlet opening 9 of the inlet part 1, a suction air bell 21 can be formed which extends forward from the inlet part 1 and extends far forward to the fleece 22.
So if the thickness of the fuse is limited to e.g. 80% of its desired value falls, and then the increased pressure is built up in the line 3, a longer and more powerful suction bell 21 is formed, which increasingly fetches fleece in its central area towards the inlet part 1.
By means of the fleece bundling device 17, the point of application of the suction force is thus placed both far in front of the inlet part 1 and especially in the center of the fleece 22.
If the Luntendüse has such a fleece bundling device 17, the Luntendüse can also be used for fully automatic threading of the fleece, because this device 17 replaces the aforementioned hands of an operator when threading the fiber fleece into the input part 1 for the first time.
