Staubsauger
vacuum cleaner
The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner, in particular a broom-shaped vacuum cleaner, with a fan arrangement upstream or downstream of the dust bag in the direction of flow.
Conventional vacuum cleaners designed as broom models comprise a fan arrangement with a fan blade which is connected upstream or downstream of the dust bag in the direction of flow. In comparison to the so-called sled models, such vacuum cleaners are subject to considerable limits in terms of maximum suction pressure, noise level, weight, volume and the like. a.
The present invention aims to create a vacuum cleaner of the aforementioned type, the suction power of which can be increased to such an extent that it approaches the slide models without increasing the weight and volume of the usual broom models in particular.
This is now achieved according to the invention in that the fan arrangement comprises two fan blades connected in series in terms of air flow.
It is easy to see that a considerable increase in performance can be achieved with this measure without increasing the volume and weight of the device. In addition, this measure allows the operating speed of the fan arrangement to be reduced, which reduces the noise level and the degree of wear and tear.
If the fan arrangement is connected upstream of the dust bag in the direction of flow, a dust bag filling indicator can also be arranged between the dust bag and the fan arrangement, which can preferably comprise a piston that is freely displaceable in a cylinder, which is then under the effect of atmospheric pressure on one side and on the other is under the effect of the flow pressure between the fan assembly and the dust bag.
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
Fig. 1 in cross section in a schematic representation of the fan arrangement of a vacuum cleaner and
2 shows, in cross section, a schematic representation of the dust bag and a dust bag fill indicator of the vacuum cleaner according to FIG. 1.
According to FIG. 1, the fan arrangement of a broom-shaped vacuum cleaner comprises a motor 1, on whose shaft ends protruding on both end faces a fan blade 2 and 3 is seated. This fan arrangement is surrounded by the vacuum cleaner housing 4, which is designed in a fluidically appropriate manner, the arrows shown indicating the direction of flow of the suction air. The design of the fan blades 2 and 3 is such that they are connected in series with respect to the flow direction mentioned.
According to FIG. 2, the housing 4 continues in a housing section 4 a which surrounds a dust bag 5. The direction of flow can again be recognized by the indicated arrows. The blower arrangement according to FIG. 1 is thus connected upstream of the dust bag 5 according to FIG. 2 in the direction of flow.
Of course, it would also be possible to connect the fan arrangement downstream of the dust bag in the flow direction or to connect one of the two fan blades upstream of the dust bag in the flow direction and the other downstream.
A pressure line 9 opens into the flow channel 7 near the inlet opening 8 of the dust bag 5, the free end of which is connected to the bottom of a cylinder 10 of a dust bag fill indicator. In this cylinder 10 there is a freely movable piston 11 of low weight, whose end face facing away from the pressure line 9 is under atmospheric pressure, for which purpose the upper end of the cylinder 10 is open. In the jacket of the cylinder 10, a viewing window 12 is also provided in the upper cylinder section.
With increasing filling of the dust bag 5, its flow capacity is reduced, which causes an increasing dynamic pressure in the flow channel. This increase in pressure lifts the piston 11 in the cylinder 10 against the external pressure, the fact that the piston 11 becomes visible in the viewing window 12 is a measure of the filling state of the dust bag 5.
As can be seen from the above, the measures taken allow a vacuum cleaner of constant volume and weight, which is powerful in comparison to the known embodiments. The noise level can also be reduced significantly, and the filling status of the dust bag can be displayed with little effort and without interference.
