False twist device for the production of textured synthetic textile yarns
The production of elastic textured textile yarns by temporarily twisting thermoplastic multifilament yarns by means of a false twist device and heat fixing in the twisted state is known. It is also known to modify the process in such a way that, as required, textured yarns with reduced extensibility, low bulk or the like are obtained.
The disadvantage of the textured yarns obtained in this way is that when they are pulled over the head from the bobbin before being fed into the processing machine, the yarn kinks, which can lead to yarn breaks and unpleasant downtime of the machine.
This tendency to tangle is due in part to torsional stress in the yarn that is intentionally caused for certain purposes, for example for sock yarn.
Furthermore, a method is known by the applicant to achieve at least a temporary compensation of the internal stress state in yarns textured by temporary winding up and heat setting in the high twist state, the extensibility of which has been reduced by a subsequent second heat setting. According to this method, the textile yarn is subjected to another temporary high twist, but without repeated heat fixation in the high twisted state. In the case of the second false twist, either a twist generator with rotary tubes that is common in the usual false twist texturing machines or a friction twist generator that is also known per se can be used.
It has now been found that the false twist can be carried out in both directions of rotation in a simple manner with a single false twist device, which is a much more rational and cheaper solution.
The invention accordingly relates to a false twist device with a rotating tube located in the wedge between two axially parallel rollers with tangential contact with these, one of the rollers being drivable and the rotating tube being pressed against the rollers by means of a magnet. The device is characterized in that one of the rollers has an axial bore and friction body and that there are guide and / or conveying elements for diverting the yarn leaving the rotating tube during operation of the device and for guiding it through the bore under pressure on the friction body.
The device according to the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawings:
Fig. 1 shows schematically the course of the yarn in the entire texturing device
Fig. 2 shows an embodiment of the false twist device in a view and partially in section.
According to FIG. 1, the yarn 1 coming from a delivery bobbin, not shown, successively passes through a first pair of conveying rollers 2, a heating device 3, the rotary tube 4 of the combined false twist device 5, the deflecting members 7, 7 ', 7 ", 7"', the friction spindle 8 of the False twist device 5 and a second pair of conveyor rollers 6, from where the yarn is fed to a winding device, not shown. If, after the texturing process between the roller pairs 2 and 6, the yarn is to be subjected to a second heat setting in order to reduce its elasticity, a second heat setting element 9 can be inserted between the deflecting elements 7 'and 7 ", these deflecting elements possibly having to be replaced by pairs of conveyor rollers .
The device shown in FIG. 2 has two rollers 10 and 11, which consist of axially parallel pairs of disks 12, 12 'and 13, 13' with spacer bushings 14, 15 firmly connected to the disks in between. The washers and spacers are made of plastic. The rollers 10, 11 each sit on a shaft 21, 22, which in turn are mounted by means of ball bearings located in the bearing housings 23, 24. The shaft 21 is driven by means of a belt 26 via the drive roller 25 seated on it. In the grooves formed by the disks 12, 12 'and 13, 13', a rotary tube 16 is mounted in tangential contact parallel to the axes of the rollers 10, 11. This is under the influence of a horseshoe permanent magnet, the pole shoes 17, 17 'of which extend into the space between the disks of the rollers 10, 11.
The rotary tube 16 has a widened center piece 18 made of low-loss sheet iron and a forked head 19 with a mandrel 20 which extends through the fork gap and around which the yarn is looped.
The roller 10, the shaft 21, the attachment 27 seated thereon, the bearing housing 23 and the drive roller 25 are shown in axial section. The shaft 21 has an axial bore 28. The attachment 27 and the drive roller 25 each have a recess 29 and 30, in each of which an annular friction body 31, 32 is arranged and is secured against falling out by the projections 25 'and 27'. The friction bodies 31, 32 consist of a material with a high coefficient of friction with the textile yarn, for example a natural or synthetic rubber, or a plastic.
In order to be able to give the yarn a twist of different magnitudes with the aid of this friction twist generator, depending on the titer, replaceable friction bodies 31, 32 of different thicknesses can be inserted into the recess 29, 30.
In certain cases it is useful to subject the yarn to an elongation between 1 and 10% while it is being guided through the friction twist generator. In this case, a separately drivable conveying element must be provided for introducing the yarn into the bore 23 and for drawing it therefrom, the conveying speeds of which are coordinated so that the desired elongation is achieved.
The device according to the invention can be used for the treatment of v. Textured synthetic multifilament yarns made of polyamides, for example polyhexamethylene adipamide (polyamide 66), condensates of epsilon aminocaproic acid (polyamide 6) or of 11 aminoundecanoic acid (polyamide 11), also made of polyesters (polyethylene glycol terephthalate), vinyl-based material (polyacrylonitrile) or polyolefins. The device is particularly suitable for yarns which are given a relatively low false twist during texturing and which are heat-set at a relatively low temperature. Such yarns, which are used in the fine hosiery industry, have rather high torsional stresses which have to be temporarily compensated for before being introduced into the processing machine.
In the finished knitted fabric, this torsional stress can recede when the crimp develops by steaming, treating with hot air or scalding.
