Badeanlage für an einen Rollstuhl gebundene Schwerbeschädigte
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Badeanlage, die in erster Linie zur Verwendung in Badezimmern für an einen Rollstuhl gebundene Schwerbeschädigte bestimmt ist. Die Anlage besteht im wesentlichen aus einem Rollstuhl und einer Sitzbadewanne mit Anschlussmitteln für warmes und kaltes Wasser und mit von der Wanne aus betätigbaren Steuereinrichtungen zum Einlassen von gemischtem Wasser zum Baden oder Duschen und mit Mitteln zum Ablassen des Badewassers.
Es ist die Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, eine Badeanlage zu schaffen, die von alten Leuten mit schwachen Beinen oder Schwerbeschädigten, die an einen Rollstuhl gebunden sind, ohne fremde Hilfe oder nur mit geringer Unterstützung durch eine Hilfsperson einfach und mühelos benutzt werden kann. Zu diesem Zweck sind die Steuereinrichtungen bei der Badewanne so angeordnet, dass sie von dem Badenden leicht erreichbar sind. Der Schwerbeschädigte kann mit seinem Rollstuhl an die Badewanne heranfahren, sich mit dem Sitz des Rollstuhls in die Badeanlage bewegen lassen, wobei das Fahrgestell des Rollstuhls vom Sitz lösbar ist, und die Badeanlage wieder verlassen, ohne dass der Schwerbeschädigte in die Badeanlage hineingehoben und aus dieser wieder herausgehoben werden muss.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäss durch die Schaffung einer Badeanlage der vorgenannten Art gelöst, die sich dadurch auszeichnet, dass das Fussende der Badewanne mit einer Öffnung versehen ist, die sich vom oberen Rand der Badewanne bis zu ihrem Boden erstreckt und deren Breite etwas grösser als die Breite des Sitzteils des Rollstuhls ist, wobei diese Öffnung wasserdicht durch eine Tür verschliessbar ist, die an der Badewanne schwenkbar befestigt ist, dass der Rollstuhl aus einem Fahrgestell und dem auf dem Fahrgestell lösbar befestigten Sitzteil besteht, und dass das Fahrgestell bei offener Öffnung mit seiner Rückseite mit der Badewanne verbindbar ist, und dass bei hergestellter Verbindung der von dem Fahrgestell gelöste Sitzteil durch die Öffnung in die Sitzstellung in der Badewanne verschiebbar ist.
Ein bevorzugtes Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung wird nachstehend an Hand der Zeichnung näher beschrieben, in der die einzige Figur eine schematische perspektivische Ansicht der erfindungsgemässen Badeeinrichtung zeigt.
Die in der Zeichnung dargestellte Badeeinrichtung, die wie gesagt, vornehmlich zur Verwendung durch Schwerbeschädigte in Wohnungen bestimmt ist, besteht aus zwei Hauptteilen, und zwar aus einem Rollstuhl 1, der in üblicher Weise in der Wohnung benutzt werden kann, und einer Sitzbadewanne 2, die in einem Badezimmer installiert werden kann. Die Badewanne 2 ist mit Steuereinrichtungen versehen, die grösstenteils in dem Schaltkasten 3 angeordnet sind, der vorzugsweise oberhalb einer Seitenwand der Badewanne 2 angeordnet ist und auf seiner Vorderseite mit leicht zugänglichen und bedienbaren Bedienungsknöpfen 4, 5, 6 unter anderem zum Einlassen von temperiertem Wasser zum Beden und Duschen, versehen ist. Ferner sind Mittel zum Ablassen des Badewassers vorhanden, die im vorliegenden Falle aus einem herkömmlichen Bodenstöpsel 7 bestehen, der durch eine Zugkette 8 herausgezogen werden kann.
Der Schaltkasten 3 enthält eine Mischbatterie, an die Kalt- und Warmwasserleitungen 9 und 10 angeschlossen sind. Ferner ist der Schaltkasten 3 mit einem thermostatisch gesteuerten Mischventil 4 versehen. An das Mischventil 4 ist ein Einlaufrohr 11 angeschlossen, das auf einem in horizontaler Richtung schwenkbaren rohrförmigen Tragarm 12 befestigt ist und sowohl zum Füllen der Badewanne 2 als auch zum Duschen des Badenden verwendet werden kann. An dem Schaltkasten 3 ist ferner die übliche Handbrause
13 mit Zuleitungsschlauch 14 aufgehängt. Die Sitzbadewanne 2 ist mit einem fest eingebauten Sitz 15 versehen, so dass sie auch von nicht schwerbeschädigten oder an einen Rollstuhl gebundenen Personen in üblicher Weise zum Baden verwendet werden kann.
Die Badewanne 2 wird zweckmässig aus verstärktem Kunststoff hergestellt und ruht auf einem nicht dargestellten Untergestell aus Stahlrohren mit verstellbaren Beinen. Die Badewanne 2 wird in ein äusseres Gehäuse 2a aus Emailleblech eingebaut.
Das Vorder- oder Fussende der Badewanne 2 ist mit einer Öffnung 16 versehen, die sich von der Oberkante der Badewanne bis zu deren Boden erstreckt, wobei die Breite der Öffnung 16 etwas grösser als die Breite des Sitzteils 17 des Rollstuhls zwischen den Aussenkanten der Armlehnen 18, 19 des Sitzteils 17 bemessen ist. Die Öffnung 16 ist durch eine Tür 20 wasserdicht verschiessbar, die an einer Seite des Badewannenendes angelenkt ist, so dass sie in horizontaler Richtung schwenkbar ist. Um einen wasserdichten Verschluss der Öffnung 16 in der geschlossenen Stellung der Tür 20 zu gewährleisten, ist das offene Ende der Badewanne 2 ausserhalb der Kante der Öffnung 16 mit einer Schlauchdichtung 21 versehen, die nach dem Schliessen der Tür 20 mit einem Druckmittel aufgepumpt werden kann.
Dieses Druckmittel kann vorzugsweise unter Druck stehendes Wasser sein, das von den Wasserleitungen 9, 10 über ein handbetätigtes nicht dargestelltes Sicherheitsventil abgezweigt wird. Die Tür 20 wird in der geschlossenen Stellung durch eine vorzugsweise automatisch wirkende Verriegelungsvorrichtung verriegelt. Im vorliegenden Falle besteht diese Verriegelungsvorrichtung aus federbelasteten Riegeln 22, die in Abständen an der vertikalen Aussenkante der Tür angeordnet sind und mit entsprechenden, an der gegenüberliegenden Kante der Badewanne 2 angebrachten Rastschlitzen 23 zusammenwirken. In dem äusseren Gehäuse 2a ist eine (nicht sichtbare) mit Bedienungsgriff 24 versehene Entriegelungsstange angeordnet.
Die Verriege lungsvorrichtung für die Tür 20 besteht also im wesentlichen aus einem Drehriegel, der durch den von der Oberseite der Badewannenkante vorstehenden Be dienungsgriff 24 leicht zu lösen ist. Falls erforderlich, kann die Verriegelungsvorrichtung 22, 23, 24 mit einer nicht dargestellten Sicherung versehen sein, die gewährleistet, dass die Tür erst geöffnet werden kann, wenn das Badewasser aus der Badewanne 2 abgelassen worden ist.
Der Rollstuhl 1 besteht aus dem beweglichen Fahrgestell 25 herkömmlicher Bauweise und dem Sitzteil 17, das an dem Fahrgestell 25 lösbar befestigt ist und die vorgenannten Armlehnen 18 und 19 aufweist. Die Armlehnen 18 und 19 können an der Unterseite mit zwei sich in horizontaler Richtung parallel zueinander erstreckenden Reihen von nicht dargestellten Lagerrollen versehen sein und in der Badewanne 2 können zwei entsprechende Rollenführungsschienen 26 und 27 angebracht sein, die sich zu beiden Seiten der Badewanne erstrecken und den Sitzteil 17 aufnehmen, nachdem dieser von dem Fahrgestell 25 gelöst und mit seinen Lagerrollen auf die Rollenführungsschienen 26, 27 in der Badewanne 2 gerollt worden ist.
Die Überführung des Sitzteils 17 in die Badewanne wird von der auf dem Stuhl 1 sitzenden Person ausgeführt, wobei der Stuhl 1 rückwärts nahe an das offene Ende der Badewanne 2 herangerollt wird, worauf die auf dem Stuhl sitzende Person mit Hilfe einer nicht dargestellten Kupplungsvorrichtung das Fahrgestell 25 mit der Badewanne verbindet, dann den Sitzteil 17 von dem Fahrgestell löst und diesen in die Badewanne schiebt, bis die Rückenlehne des Sitzteils an die Rückwand der Badewanne anstösst, worauf sich der Sitzteil in der richtigen Sitzstellung in der Badewanne befindet.
Darauf löst der Badende das Fahrgestell 25 von der Badewanne 2, worauf das Fahrgestell durch irgendeine nicht dargestellte geeignete Vorrichtung von der Badewanne weggeschoben wird oder das Fahrgestell 25 kann auch nur einfach von der Türöffnung hinweg geschwenkt werden, während es mit der Badewanne verbunden bleibt, worauf die Tür 20 geschlossen und verriegelt wird und die rohrförmige Schlauchdichtung 21 mit einem Druckmittel gefüllt wird.
Danach kann der Badevorgang durch Betätigung der verschiedenen Steuereinrichtungen beginnen.
Nach Beendigung des Badevorgangs und mit dem Ablassen des Badewassers löst der Badende die Ver riegelungsvorrichtung 22, 23 durch Betätigung des Bedienungsgriffs 24, öffnet die Tür 20, betätigt die Vorrichtung zur Rückbewegung des Fahrgestells 25 und zur Verbindung des letzteren mit der Badewanne 2 und schiebt das Sitzteil 17 in der Badewanne nach vorn und auf das Fahrgestell 25 mit Hilfe der schematisch angedeuteten Auswurfstange 28.
Das Sitzteil 17 ist vorzugsweise für eine automatische Verbindung mit dem Fahrgestell 25 des Rollstuhls 1 eingerichtet, und zwar so, dass es nur von dem Fahrgestell getrennt werden kann, wenn dieses in der richtigen Stellung mit dem offenen Ende der Badewanne 2 verbunden worden ist. Nachdem das Sitzteil 17 somit wieder mit dem Fahrgestell 25 verbunden worden ist, oder gleichzeitig mit dieser Verbindung, wird das Fahrgestell von der Badewanne 2 getrennt, worauf der Rollstuhl 1 weggerollt und wieder in der üblichen Weise verwendet werden kann.
Die der Badeanlage zugeordneten Steuer- und Schalteinrichtungen 3 sind zweckmässig so angeordnet, dass sie durch den Badenden möglichst einfach und bequem zu betätigen sind, und daher umfassen diese Einrichtungen vorzugsweise automatische Mittel um: a) das Fahrgestell 25 von der Badewanne 2 zu trennen, nachdem das Sitzteil 17 von dem Fahrgestell 25 gelöst und in die Sitzstellung in der Badewanne 2 übergeführt worden ist; b).das Fahrgestell an die Badewanne zurückzuführen und wieder damit zu verbinden, nachdem die Tür 20 nach dem Baden geöffnet worden ist und c)- zur Überführung des Sitzteils 17 in die und aus der Badewanne 2. Diese automatischen Mittel sind in der Zeichnung nicht besonders dargestellt, weil sie viele verschiedene Formen annehmen können, wie für jeden Fachmann ohne weiteres ersichtlich ist.
Zweckmässig ist die automatische Steuereinrichtung jedoch mit ihren wesentlichen Elementen unter Benutzung der Wasserleitungen 9, 10 als Quelle für die Druckflüssigkeit auf hydraulischem Wege zu betätigen. Ferner sollte der grösste Teil zumindestens der Schaltelemente für die automatischen und sonstigen Vorrichtungen der Steuereinrichtung aus ZweckrrAässigkeitsgründen in bekannter Weise in dem Schaltkasten 3 zusammengefasst werden, der auf einer Längskante der Badewanne 2 montiert ist.
Die Kupplungsvorrichtung zur Verbindung des Fahrgestells 25 mit der Badewanne 2 besteht zweckmässig aus Verriegelungselementen, die sich automatisch miteinander verriegeln, wenn diese beiden Teile zusammengeführt werden, und vorzugsweise durch eine hydraulisch zu betätigende Antriebsvorrichtung gelöst werden können.
Bathing facility for the severely disabled who are bound to a wheelchair
The invention relates to a bathing facility which is primarily intended for use in bathrooms for the severely disabled who are bound to a wheelchair. The system essentially consists of a wheelchair and a hip bathtub with connection means for hot and cold water and with control devices that can be actuated from the tub for admitting mixed water for bathing or showering and with means for draining the bathing water.
It is the object of the present invention to provide a bathing facility that can be used easily and effortlessly by old people with weak legs or severely disabled people who are bound to a wheelchair without outside help or only with little support from an auxiliary person. For this purpose, the control devices are arranged in the bathtub in such a way that they are easily accessible by the bather. The severely disabled person can drive up to the bathtub with his wheelchair, let himself be moved into the bathing facility with the wheelchair seat, whereby the chassis of the wheelchair can be detached from the seat, and leave the bathing facility again without the seriously disabled person being lifted into and out of the bathing facility must be lifted out again.
This object is achieved according to the invention by creating a bathing facility of the aforementioned type, which is characterized in that the foot end of the bathtub is provided with an opening which extends from the upper edge of the bathtub to its bottom and the width of which is slightly greater than the width of the seat part of the wheelchair, this opening being watertightly closed by a door which is pivotably attached to the bathtub, that the wheelchair consists of a chassis and the seat part that is detachably attached to the chassis, and that the chassis with its rear side when the opening is open can be connected to the bathtub, and that, when the connection is established, the seat part released from the chassis can be displaced through the opening into the sitting position in the bathtub.
A preferred embodiment of the invention is described in more detail below with reference to the drawing, in which the single figure shows a schematic perspective view of the bathing facility according to the invention.
The bathing facility shown in the drawing, which, as I said, is primarily intended for use by the severely disabled in apartments, consists of two main parts, namely a wheelchair 1, which can be used in the usual way in the apartment, and a hip bathtub 2, which can be installed in a bathroom. The bathtub 2 is provided with control devices, which are for the most part arranged in the switch box 3, which is preferably arranged above a side wall of the bathtub 2 and on its front side with easily accessible and operable control buttons 4, 5, 6, among other things for the inlet of tempered water for Beden and showering is provided. There are also means for draining the bathing water, which in the present case consist of a conventional ground plug 7 which can be pulled out by a pull chain 8.
The switch box 3 contains a mixer tap to which the cold and hot water lines 9 and 10 are connected. The switch box 3 is also provided with a thermostatically controlled mixing valve 4. An inlet pipe 11 is connected to the mixing valve 4, which is attached to a tubular support arm 12 which can be pivoted in the horizontal direction and which can be used both for filling the bathtub 2 and for showering the bather. On the switch box 3 is also the usual hand shower
13 suspended with supply hose 14. The hip bathtub 2 is provided with a permanently installed seat 15 so that it can also be used for bathing in the usual way by people who are not severely injured or who are bound to a wheelchair.
The bathtub 2 is expediently made of reinforced plastic and rests on an underframe, not shown, made of steel tubes with adjustable legs. The bathtub 2 is installed in an outer housing 2a made of sheet enamel.
The front or foot end of the bathtub 2 is provided with an opening 16 which extends from the upper edge of the bathtub to the bottom, the width of the opening 16 being somewhat larger than the width of the seat part 17 of the wheelchair between the outer edges of the armrests 18 , 19 of the seat part 17 is dimensioned. The opening 16 can be closed in a watertight manner by a door 20 which is hinged to one side of the bathtub end so that it can be pivoted in the horizontal direction. In order to ensure a watertight closure of the opening 16 in the closed position of the door 20, the open end of the bathtub 2 outside the edge of the opening 16 is provided with a hose seal 21, which can be inflated with a pressure medium after the door 20 is closed.
This pressure medium can preferably be pressurized water, which is branched off from the water lines 9, 10 via a manually operated safety valve, not shown. The door 20 is locked in the closed position by a preferably automatically acting locking device. In the present case, this locking device consists of spring-loaded bolts 22 which are arranged at intervals on the vertical outer edge of the door and cooperate with corresponding locking slots 23 attached to the opposite edge of the bathtub 2. An unlocking bar (not visible) provided with an operating handle 24 is arranged in the outer housing 2a.
The Verriege treatment device for the door 20 consists essentially of a rotary bolt, which is easy to solve by the service handle 24 protruding from the top of the bathtub edge Be. If necessary, the locking device 22, 23, 24 can be provided with a safety device, not shown, which ensures that the door can only be opened when the bath water has been drained from the bathtub 2.
The wheelchair 1 consists of the movable chassis 25 of conventional construction and the seat part 17 which is detachably attached to the chassis 25 and has the aforementioned armrests 18 and 19. The armrests 18 and 19 can be provided on the underside with two horizontally parallel rows of bearing rollers, not shown, and two corresponding roller guide rails 26 and 27 can be attached in the bathtub 2, which extend on both sides of the bathtub and the Record seat part 17 after it has been released from the chassis 25 and rolled with its bearing rollers onto the roller guide rails 26, 27 in the bathtub 2.
The transfer of the seat part 17 into the bathtub is carried out by the person sitting on the chair 1, the chair 1 being rolled backwards close to the open end of the bathtub 2, whereupon the person sitting on the chair lifts the chassis with the aid of a coupling device (not shown) 25 connects to the bathtub, then releases the seat part 17 from the chassis and pushes it into the bathtub until the backrest of the seat part abuts the back wall of the bathtub, whereupon the seat part is in the correct sitting position in the bathtub.
The bather then releases the chassis 25 from the bathtub 2, whereupon the chassis is pushed away from the bathtub by any suitable device, not shown, or the chassis 25 can also simply be pivoted away from the door opening while it remains connected to the bathtub, whereupon the door 20 is closed and locked and the tubular hose seal 21 is filled with a pressure medium.
The bathing process can then begin by operating the various control devices.
After the bathing process is complete and the bathing water is drained, the bather releases the locking device 22, 23 by actuating the operating handle 24, opens the door 20, actuates the device for moving back the chassis 25 and for connecting the latter to the bathtub 2 and pushes it Seat part 17 in the bathtub to the front and onto the chassis 25 with the aid of the schematically indicated ejection rod 28.
The seat part 17 is preferably set up for automatic connection to the chassis 25 of the wheelchair 1, specifically in such a way that it can only be separated from the chassis when this has been connected to the open end of the bathtub 2 in the correct position. After the seat part 17 has thus been connected again to the chassis 25, or at the same time with this connection, the chassis is separated from the bathtub 2, whereupon the wheelchair 1 can be rolled away and used again in the usual way.
The control and switching devices 3 assigned to the bathing facility are expediently arranged in such a way that they can be operated as easily and conveniently as possible by the bather, and these devices therefore preferably comprise automatic means to: a) separate the chassis 25 from the bathtub 2 after the seat part 17 has been released from the chassis 25 and moved into the sitting position in the bathtub 2; b). Return the chassis to the bathtub and reconnect it after the door 20 has been opened after bathing and c) - for transferring the seat part 17 into and out of the bathtub 2. These automatic means are not shown in the drawing particularly shown because they can take many different forms as would be readily apparent to any person skilled in the art.
However, the essential elements of the automatic control device can be expediently operated hydraulically using the water lines 9, 10 as a source for the pressure fluid. Furthermore, the majority of at least the switching elements for the automatic and other devices of the control device should, for reasons of expediency, be combined in a known manner in the switch box 3, which is mounted on a longitudinal edge of the bathtub 2.
The coupling device for connecting the chassis 25 to the bathtub 2 expediently consists of locking elements which automatically lock with one another when these two parts are brought together and can preferably be released by a hydraulically operated drive device.
