Rolladen
Shutters
The subject matter of the present invention is a roller shutter in which hollow rods provided with corresponding slots at the top and bottom are slidably drawn onto bands in the direction of the band and the bands consist of a plurality of interconnected links.
In previously known roller shutters of this type, the links forming the strips are hooked to one another, specifically in such a way that individual hollow rods could not be removed from the composite armor, for example for the purpose of replacement.
The present invention was based on the object of eliminating this disadvantage and creating a roller shutter which allows individual hollow bars to be removed from the finished roller shutter and replaced by others and at the same time to reduce the generation of noise when winding such a roller shutter.
The roller shutter according to the invention is characterized in that each link has a window and a longitudinal slot arranged one below the other in its longitudinal axis and adjacent links are connected to one another by an elastic plug which passes through the longitudinal slot of one link and is detachably held in the window of the other link.
The drawing shows an example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely shows:
Fig. 1 is a section along the line I-I in Fig. 2 perpendicular through two adjacent, expanded hollow rods,
FIG. 2 shows a section along the line II-II in FIG. 1 with the lower rod partially broken away,
Fig. 3 shows a detail in section before the assembly of a hollow rod and
4 shows a diagrammatic and exploded view of two adjacent links and the plug together with the retaining tab on a reduced scale.
In the illustrated embodiment, the hollow rods 1 and 2 are provided on both their top and bottom with slots la and lb as well as 2a and 2b, through which an elevator tape 4 formed from a number of links 3 (3a, 3b, 3c) passes . Each link 3 consists of an elongated lamella, in the longitudinal axis of which a window 5 (5b, 5c) and a longitudinal slot 6 (6a, 6b) are arranged one below the other. In addition, each link 3 has two protruding, resilient retaining tongues 7 (7b, 7c) at its upper end.
The connection of adjacent links 3 is made by an elastic plug 8, which is preferably made of a suitable plastic and is connected on its rear side to a sheet 9 of the same material protruding over the plug on both sides, the laterally protruding sheet parts as flexible retaining tabs 9 and 9b are formed, of which the upper (9a) is shorter than the lower (9b). A stiffening rib 10 is also provided on the rear side of the sheet 9. The plug 8 is dimensioned and shaped so that it can be pressed into a window 5 under pressure and held there with a press fit, but thanks to the elasticity of the material in question it is also possible to remove it from the window 5.
The connection of two adjacent links 3a and 3b is now done in such a way that they are placed on top of one another in such a way that the longitudinal slot 6a of the link 3a comes to rest on the window 5b of the other link 3b, after which the plug 8 through its from the front of the link 3a Longitudinal slot 6a is pressed into the window 5b of the lower link 3b.
This type of connection allows a relative longitudinal displacement between the two members 3a and 3b, the size of which is given by the dimensions of the longitudinal slot 6a. The hollow rods 1 and 2 are now drawn onto the bands 4 formed in this way, in that these bands 4 are passed through the corresponding slots la, lb and 2a, 2b, with (cf. FIG. 3) through the resilient retaining tongues 7b and 7c and through the shoulder formed by the upper side of the ribs 10 on the one hand and the plug 8 on the other hand, the relative position of a hollow rod (1, 2) with respect to that member (3b, 3c) is determined in whose window (Sb, 5c) the plug 8 in question entry.
In this way, the connection of each hollow rod (1, 2) to a link (3b, 3c) is ensured, the links being arranged so that they can be displaced relative to one another in the manner described, so that the band 4 can be pulled out.
The length of the retaining tabs 9a and 9b is dimensioned so that they still enter the slots lb, 2b or la, 2a even when the tape is pulled out, in order to prevent the bending caused by the rolling up of the roller shutter the stopper 8 would pop out of the corresponding windows and so the connection between the links would inadvertently loosen.
Such a solution is now easily possible by first pulling out the lower, flexible retaining flap 9b, for example from the slot 2a of the rod 2, with a suitable instrument, then the rod 2 with a corresponding bending of the rods 1 and 2 The parts of the links 3a and 3b located in FIG. 1 are pivoted to the right and finally, for example with a screwdriver blade, grips the plug 8 underneath and lifts it out of the relevant window Sb. The connection between the two relevant links 3a and 3b is thus released.
It goes without saying that the connection can be re-established in the opposite manner, regardless of whether or not it is a matter of installing a single hollow bar between rows of hollow bars that have already been installed.
The use of plugs and retaining tabs made of plastic also makes it possible to significantly dampen the winding and unwinding noise.
In this way it has been possible to create an arrangement which allows individual bars to be removed from a completely assembled armor and, if necessary, to be replaced by others.
