In diesem Gewindeloch
Device for deburring a gear
The invention relates to a device for deburring a gear, which is freely rotatably mounted on a column, by means of a tool that works in the copy milling process, is pressed against the tooth edges under spring pressure, has a cutter and a copying pen, in particular for a worm wheel.
In order to keep the noise and wear of gears as low as possible, it is necessary to remove the burrs that have arisen on the tooth edges during machining. This is preferably done automatically.
Various devices are known for deburring the tooth edges of gearwheels, which work according to the hobbing process in that a worm-shaped milling cutter or a correspondingly profiled grinding wheel is brought into action on the front edges of a freely rotatable gearwheel.
The rotation of the gear is brought about by the generating tool itself. The hobbing tool is adapted to the tooth size and shape of the gear to be deburred, so that the front tooth edges from the tooth tip to and including the tooth gap base are machined. During one revolution of the gear, all front edges are deburred on one side. To deburr the other side, the gear is reversed.
In a similar embodiment, the gear wheel is not freely rotatable, but is rotatably connected to the hobbing tool via a gear.
Another known method uses a special disk-shaped tool. This consists of a round, disk-shaped base body, on the circumferential surface of which a web is attached that extends over half the circumference. The side surfaces of the web form with its peripheral surface sharp edges that take care of the deburring. To enable penetration into the tooth gaps, the height of the web increases gradually in the direction of rotation, while the width decreases.
The length of the circumferential surface of the web, which corresponds approximately to the width of the tooth gap base, has a file-like corrugation of the surface for the machining of the front edges of the tooth gap base. The web led around half the circumference has at the end lying in the direction of rotation as an extension a helical member which is arranged around the other half of the circumference of the base body and has a pitch of approximately one tooth gap distance. This worm-shaped member ensures the rotation of the gear by one tooth pitch.
Furthermore, a device operating according to the copy milling process is known in which a cylindrical copying pen held in a pivotable support, parallel to the gear axis, scans the front edges of the continuously rotating gear with its tapered end. By means of a tension spring, the end of the pivotable carrier carrying the copying pen is biased in the direction of the gear wheel. A conical, pointed end mill, also held parallel to the gear axis in the pivotable carrier, deburred and guided by the copying pen, the front edges on one side of the gear. Two end mills facing each other can be used to machine both end faces of the gearwheel at the same time.
In a further device of this type, a thin grinding wheel keeps in contact with the contours of the front-side tooth edges of the continuously rotating gear due to weight loading. For this purpose, the motor carrying the grinding wheel is suspended swinging freely about an axis that can be tilted from the horizontal.
All devices mentioned for deburring gearwheels are only suitable for machining the frontal tooth edges. Deburring all tooth edges between two adjacent teeth of worm gears in one operation using a rotating tool is not possible with any of the known devices.
The invention is based on the object of providing a device with which it is possible to deburr all of the tooth edges lying between two adjacent teeth in worm gears in one operation by means of a rotating tool. Furthermore, when changing the worm wheel type, only a few and simple new settings should be required without exchanging the tool.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the copying pen and the milling cutter of the tool are attached with axes perpendicular to the column or gear axis on a swivel arm pivotable about the column axis, the tool and the gear wheel relative to one another by means of a drive device in the direction of the column axis are movable.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and will be described in more detail below. Show it:
Fig. 1 is a side view of a Entgratungseinricl-1 device.
2 shows a side view of a tool,
3 is a plan view of the tool,
4 shows a partial device in side view,
FIG. 5 shows a section of the dividing device along line A-A of FIG. 4,
6 shows a part of a worm wheel with tapering tooth gaps in a radial view,
7 shows a partial radial view of a worm wheel with tooth gaps not tapering off;
8 shows a radial section of the worm wheel of FIGS
9 shows the worm wheel of FIG. 7 in an axial view.
In Fig. 1, 1 denotes a base on which a column 2 is attached, which has an axis 2.8 and has gradations 2.1 to 2.4 at its upper end. A worm wheel 3 to be deburred is placed over the lowest gradation 2.1 so that it can rotate freely.
A lifting motor 4 is arranged in the interior of the base 1, from which a pinion 4.1 acts on a lifting rod 5 provided with a rack 5.1 and extending into a longitudinal bore 2.5 of the column 2 via a gear (not shown). At the lower end of the lifting rod 5, a switching tongue 5.2 is attached, which actuates the limit switches 6 and 7 provided in the lifting diagrams for controlling or reversing the lifting motor 4. The position of the limit switches 6 and 7 can be adjusted separately from one another in the vertical direction by means of a mechanism, not shown in detail, from adjusting wheels S and 9. In the upper end of the lifting rod 5, a support bolt i0 is attached transversely to it, which protrudes from the column 2 through two opposite vertical longitudinal slots 2.6, 2.7.
The clever control for holding the hump is also housed in the base 1.
A pivot arm 11 is arranged to be freely pivotable about the column 2 via two bearings 11.1, 11.2. The pivot arm 11 is supported in the local direction by a hollow ring 11.21 provided in the bearing 11.2, which surrounds the ends of the support bolt 10 protruding from the column 2. The pivot arm 11 has a guide 11.3 in the radial direction to the worm wheel 3 approximately at the level of the graduations 2.1 to 2.4.
On this guide 11.3 sits a displaceable carriage 12 and on this a support 13, which is displaceable in the same direction and is pretensioned towards the worm wheel 3 ! axis of worm wheel 3 is. Furthermore, a copying pen 23 (FIG. 3) and a partial device 16 are attached to the carriage 12. Support 13, milling motor 14, milling cutter 15 and copying pen 23 form a tool that works in the copy milling process.
From FIGS. 2 and 3 more details of this tool and its attachment to the pivot arm 11 can be seen. A cavity 12.1 is provided in the slide 12. The slide wall lying in the direction of the worm wheel 3 has a bore 12.2 standing at right angles to the worm wheel or column axis 2.8. In the opposite slide wall, a threaded hole 12.3 is provided in alignment with the bore 12.2. In this threaded hole
12.3 sits an adjusting screw 17 which acts via a compression spring 18 on a pressure bolt 19 running in the bore 12.2. The end of the pressure pin 19 protruding from the slide 12 is firmly connected to the support 13. The milling motor 14 is attached to the support 13 by means of a bracket 20.
On each side of the milling motor 14, the support 13 has a longitudinal slot 13.1, 13.2 in the tangential direction to the worm wheel 3. An L-shaped holder 21, the horizontal leg of which also has a longitudinal slot 21.1, is clamped on the support 13 by means of a clamping screw 22 guided through the two longitudinal slots 13.1 and 21.1 above the longitudinal slot 13.1.
The upright leg of the holder 21 holds a copying pen 23 corresponding in size and shape to the milling cutter 15 in a transverse bore by means of a screw 24. The central axis 23.1 of the copying pen 23 is at right angles to the column axis 2.8. The distance between the milling cutter 15 and the copying pin 23 is one tooth pitch of the worm wheel 3. In the radial direction to the worm wheel, the copying pin 23 is slightly behind the milling cutter 15. A handwheel 25 arranged on the slide 12 is rotatably connected to a pinion, not visible in the figures, which engages in a rack 11.4 provided below the guide 11.3. With a clamping screw, not shown, the slide 12 can be fixed at any desired location on the guide 11.3.
FIGS. 4 and 5 show the partial device designated by 16 in FIG. With 15 the milling cutter and with 15.1 its central axis is designated.
An electric lifting magnet 27 fastened to the slide 12 lies above the guide 11.3 of the swivel arm 11.
An angle arm 28 is fastened freely rotatably to the carriage 12 by means of a screw 29, the axis 29.1 of which simultaneously forms a pivot point for the angle arm 28.
A threaded bushing 30 is screwed into a threaded hole 28.1 in the horizontal part of the angle arm 28 parallel to the guide 11.3. The armature of the lifting magnet 27 is connected to the threaded bushing 30 by means of a rod 31 via a joint 32. A one-sided extension of the threaded bushing 30 is designed as a handwheel 30.1. At the free end of the angled arm 28 bent at right angles, a rail 33 with a rectangular cross section is fastened vertically in its center. At the two ends of the rail 33 a vertically displaceable and lockable clamping piece 34 is provided. In each clamping piece 34, a spring leaf 35 is clamped displaceably at one end in a horizontal position. A shaped piece 36 adapted to the shape of the tooth gap is attached to the free end of the spring leaf 35.
The shaped pieces 36 lie together with the milling cutter 15 on a vertical axis. A tension spring 37 is tensioned between the lifting magnet 27 and the angle arm 28.
In Fig. 6, two expiring tooth gaps of the worm wheel 3 are designated by 3.1, 3.2. The tooth gap 3.1 has not yet been deburred, while the contours of the deburred edges are visible in the tooth gap 3.2.
7, 8, 9 show a worm wheel 38 with tooth gaps 38.1, 38.2 that do not terminate. The tooth gap 38.1 has not yet been deburred, the tooth gap 38.2 has already been deburred. With 39 a spherical milling cutter and 40 with a corresponding copying pen is designated. The copier pen has a small pin 40.1 at its tip.
The setup described works as follows:
The worm wheel 3 to be deburred is z. B. 2.1 of the column 2 pushed and the cutter 15 over the carriage 12 after the lowest point of a tooth gap in the radial direction, set. The copying pen 23 is directed into the adjacent tooth gap in such a way that it does not penetrate as deeply as the milling cutter 15, because the copying pen 23 always scans the tooth gaps that have not yet been deburred, with the exception of the last tooth gap.
The limit switches 6, 7 are set via the two adjusting wheels 8, 9 so that the switch tongue 5.2 xactuates the end switch 6 as soon as the cutter 15 has left the tooth gap at the top and the limit switch 7 as soon as the cutter 15 moves down from the tooth gap has expired. The clamping pieces 34 together with the spring leaves 35 are fastened on the rail 33 in such a way that the upper shaped piece 36 slides into the tooth gap from above just before the milling cutter 15 runs out of it downwards and the lower shaped piece 36 slides into the tooth gap from below, before the milling cutter 15 runs upwards out of the tooth gap.
The armature stroke of the lifting magnet 27 is selected by means of the threaded bushing 30 so that the length of the pivoting movement transmitted to the fittings 36 via the angle arm 28, the rail 30 and the spring leaves 35 corresponds to the tooth pitch of the worm wheel 3.
After these settings, the milling motor 14 and then the lifting motor 4 are switched on first. Starting from the position of the milling cutter 15 in FIG. 1, the pivot arm 11 is now lowered. The lower shaped piece 36 slides downward out of the tooth gap. Shortly beforehand, the milling cutter 15 and the copying pen 23 run from above into adjacent tooth gaps.
The copier pin 23 now, by resting on the edges of its tooth gap, steers the support 13 radially against the spring pressure of the compression spring 18 and tangentially, depending on the size and weight of the worm wheel 3, either the swivel arm 11 or the worm wheel 3.
Shortly before the milling cutter 15 and the copying pen 23 run out of their tooth gaps downwards, the shaped piece 36 comes from above into the tooth gap that has just been deburred.
During the switching of the stroke direction by the switching tongue 5.2 via the limit switch 7, the coil of the lifting magnet 27 is briefly energized, whereby the angle arm 28 executes a pivoting movement and the spring leaf 35 and the fitting 36 causes the indexing by one tooth pitch. The swivel arm 11 or the worm wheel 3 is rotated further by one tooth pitch, specifically in the direction that the copying pen 23, with the exception of the last one, always scans the tooth gaps that have not yet been deburred. The swivel arm 11 is then raised again, the milling cutter 15 and the copying pen 23 come from below into the new tooth gaps. Shortly thereafter, the shaped piece 36 slides out of its tooth gap, whereupon the angle arm 28 is brought back into its rest position by the tension spring 37. These processes are repeated until all the tooth gaps of the worm wheel 3 are deburred.
The power supply for the milling motor 14 and the lifting magnet 27 is conducted from the base 1 via a slip ring (not shown here) placed around the column 2 so that the swivel arm 11 can be rotated around the column 2 without restriction.
In the case of worm wheels 38 with non-terminating tooth gaps, the stroke of the swivel arm 11 is set so that the milling cutter 39 and the copying pen 40 do not move beyond the edges of the tooth gaps. The copying pin 40 is again somewhat further away in the radial direction than the milling cutter 39 from the worm wheel 38, since here too it scans the tooth edges that have not yet been deburred. So that the spherical head cutter 39 does not mill into the edge of the worm wheel in the stroke end positions, the copying pin 40 is provided with a pin 40.1 at the front.
The advantages achieved with the invention are in particular that all the edges of the tooth gaps of a worm wheel 3, 38 can be deburred in one work cycle. Furthermore, the tooth tip edges of straight or helical toothed gears can be deburred with this device. Another advantage is that for different sizes of worm or gear wheels only a few new and simple adjustments are necessary, with the same tool being used.
It is within the scope of the invention to equip the device with a control switch which switches off the lifting motor 4 if the further indexing has not been carried out by a whole tooth pitch due to any circumstances. This prevents the milling cutter 15, 39 from milling into a tooth. The device can be equipped with a pulse counter into which the respective number of teeth of the worm wheel 3, 38 to be machined is entered. After one revolution of the worm wheel 3, 38 or the pivot arm 11, the whole device is automatically switched off. It is also possible to combine the compression spring 18 with a hydraulic cylinder-piston unit or to replace it entirely with a hydraulic or pneumatic pressure device.
It is also conceivable to use a grinding tool instead of the milling cutter 15, 39. Instead of the electric rack and pinion drive for the lifting movement, a hydraulic or pneumatic drive can easily be used.
