Obergangsmuffennippel
Transition socket nipple
The innovation relates to a transition socket connector for connecting two pipe lines of different materials, with a nipple part made of metal and a socket part made of plastic inserted coaxially into it.
Transition nipples are known in which the connection of the nipple and socket part is designed as a rigid threaded connection and the sealing of both parts takes place by means of a conical joint. Another embodiment is known in which the sleeve is pressed into the nipple part and pinned radially.
Another embodiment is known in which the plastic sleeve is glued to the nipple part.
Such designs have the disadvantage that the torsional forces that inevitably result when the pipelines are connected have a disadvantageous effect on the sealing points or that permanent stresses in the pipe combination are the result. A certain assembly sequence must also be observed. Likewise, the differentiated thermal expansions from the socket to the nipple part lead to leaks in the connection.
The object of the present innovation is to avoid the aforementioned disadvantages. The transition socket nipple according to the invention is characterized in that the socket part can be rotated in the nipple part, but is held axially immovable, and that a profile ring seal is arranged between the two parts.
In order to enable the connection between metal pipe and plastic pipe, the design was chosen in such a way that on the one hand a threaded connection and on the other hand an adhesive or welded connection is provided.
Embodiments of the innovation are shown in the drawings and are described in more detail below.
Show it:
1 shows a first exemplary embodiment with an external thread connection, in longitudinal section.
2 shows a second exemplary embodiment with an internal thread connection, in longitudinal section.
Fig. 3 shows as an embodiment the installation in a wall panel.
1 shows an externally threaded nipple part 1 with a socket part 2 made of plastic and inserted coaxially therein. In a groove 4, a profile ring seal 3 is arranged to seal the parting line between the nipple part 1 and the socket part 2. At the distance between the shoulder 6 and the edge 5 designed as a flange, the sleeve part 2 will hold axially gb. The formation of the bore 7 is designed in such a way that a connection with a plastic pipe can be implemented both as an adhesive and as a welded connection. To facilitate assembly, the nipples 1 and 8 are designed with key surfaces 12.
The exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from that according to FIG. 1 in that the nipple 8 is provided with an internal thread and that the profile ring seal 10 inserted in the socket part 9 is held in an annular groove 11.
The embodiment according to FIG. 3 shows the installation of the socket part 2 in a wall panel 13, the installation side of the wall panel 13 being designed analogously to the nipple part 1 or 8. The thread-side outlet of the wall disk 13 can equally be designed as a socket connection.
The advantages that can be achieved with the transition socket nipples described are in particular that individual pipes or entire pipe combinations can be assembled and disassembled without a specific assembly process.
