Fig. 1 ein Blockschaltbild der thermischen Elektronenstrahlanlage;
Fig. 2 den Aufbau dieser Anlage im Prinzip.

Method and device for the automatic control of the electrical operation of a thermal electron beam system
The present invention relates to a method for automatically regulating the electrical operation of a thermal electron beam system and a device for carrying out this method.
A method for the automatic control of the electrical operating state of a thermal electron beam system is known, in which the control of the electrical parameters takes place depending on the change in one of the characteristic values of the supply source (its current or its voltage).
Devices for implementing this method are known which contain a unit for power control.
A deficiency of the above-mentioned method and the facilities for its implementation, however, consists in the fact that the power that is consumed for the immediate heating of the product cannot be kept constant with sufficient accuracy, since the power at the output of the supply source differs from the The surface of the product to be heated differs by the size of the energy losses occurring in the electron gun and in the beam delivery system, as well as the losses that occur when the electron bundle passes through the working chamber of the system on the route between the beam guidance system and the surface of the to warming product arise.
The energy losses in the electron gun are usually less than 0.5 ... 1.5% of the total output of the system. An increase in these losses, which is caused by any cause, can lead to failure of the system as a result of the melting of the focusing anode electrode or damage to the magnetic focusing lenses in the beam delivery system.
With a pressure increase in the beam guidance space up to a value of 5.10-4 to 5.10-3 Torr, additional losses arise in the beam guidance system, which are caused by the interaction of the electron bundle and the residual gases as well as the vapors of the material that is processed in the system. These losses are 3 ... 8% of the power consumed by the electron gun.
When the electron beam passes between the beam guidance system and the surface of the product to be heated, the losses in the working chamber of the system can, depending on the residual pressure, reach a value of 20 to 25% of the power at the output of the supply source of this system.
Thus, the known devices cannot guarantee the required accuracy in regulating the electrical operating state, since the energy distribution between the surface of the product and the rest of the atmosphere does not affect the power that the electron gun consumes from the system's supply source.
The invention aims to eliminate the disadvantages mentioned.
The invention makes it possible to develop a method for the automatic control of the electrical operating state of a thermal electron beam system, which ensures a high degree of accuracy in keeping the power required for heating the product constant, and to create a device for carrying out this method.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that, from the size of the total power consumed by the system, the power consumed directly for heating the product is determined. The device intended for carrying out this method is characterized according to the invention in that the power control unit has at least one device for detecting the energy losses that are generated in the vacuum space of the electron beam system, which vacuum space is provided by a working chamber containing a work stick, a chamber containing the electron gun and one of the two Chamber connecting chambers and containing the beam delivery system is formed,
is installed to record the power directly used to heat the product.
It is advisable to provide the power control unit of the thermal electron beam system with three energy loss absorbers, one of which is located in the chamber of the electron gun.
the other in the beam delivery system and the third in the working chamber of the plant.
The method proposed according to the invention for automatic control of the electrical operating state of a thermal electron beam system and the device developed for implementing this method make it possible to increase the accuracy of keeping the power required to heat the product constant. This results in better stabilization of the heat treatment of the product as well as an increase in the operational reliability of the system, because it is possible to control the power losses at the electrodes of the electron gun and the beam guidance system.
In the following, the invention is explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment and with reference to the accompanying drawings. It shows
1 shows a block diagram of the thermal electron beam system;
Fig. 2 shows the structure of this system in principle.
In the method for the automatic control of the electrical operating state of the thermal electron beam system, the total power that is consumed by the system from the supply source and the energy losses in the electron gun, in the beam guidance system and in the working chamber of the system are measured at the same time and determined by contrasting the measured values is the power that is used directly to heat the product. This power is used as a parameter for regulating the electrical operating state of the system.
As can be seen from the drawings (FIG. 1 and FIG. 2), the thermal electron beam system 1 contains an electron gun 2, a beam guidance system and a working chamber 4 in its vacuum space and is fed by the supply source 5 of the system. The cathode of the electron gun 2 is fed by a special cathode feed source 6. The power control unit 7 is electrically connected to the output of the supply source 5 of the system via a sensor 8 of the total power. The sensors 9, 10, 11 of the energy losses (Fig. 2) are arranged in the chamber of the electron gun 2, in the beam guidance system 3 and in the working chamber 4 of the system 1 and connected to corresponding inputs of the power control unit via amplifiers 12, 13 and 14, respectively .
The signals supplied by the pickup 9 via the amplifier 12, from the pickup 10 via the amplifier 13 and from the pickup 11 via the amplifier 14 reach the inputs of the power control unit 7, one of the inputs of this unit 7 from the pickup 8 constantly showing the total power the system is supplied with a proportional signal.
In the power control unit 7, the signals supplied by the transducer 8 and at the same time by the transducers 9, 10, 11 or one of these transducers are compared with one another and then the unit 7 emits signals which are proportional to the power consumed for the immediate heating of the product . From the output of the unit 7, the signals of the cathode supply source 6 for regulating the operating state of the system 1 are fed, and in the event of a faulty operation of the system these signals are sent to the supply source 5 to shut down the system.
The amplifiers 12, 13, 14 make it possible, when regulating the operating state of the system 1, to take into account the changeable influence of the amount of the sensor signals on the operating state of the system and its performance. This makes it possible to use different types of transducers at the same time. For example, probes, temperature and pressure transducers that are insulated from the earth can be used as sensors 9, 10, 11.
