Schnellspannvorrichtung
Fig. 1 eine Schnellspannvorrichtung, teilweise im Schnitt,
Fig. 2 dieselbe Vorrichtung in perspektivischer Darstellung,
Quick release device
The present invention relates to a quick clamping device for holding a workpiece on a machine table. The invention aims to create such a device that is as simple and handy as possible and has a relatively large clamping area. The device should also contain as few loose parts as possible.
According to the invention, this can be achieved through the combination of a bolt and a sleeve that slidably grips the bolt, of which combination the lower element can be fastened on the machine table, while the upper element can be moved relative to this by means of a central screw, as well as one on the outer wall of the upper element adjustable clamping claw.
Such a quick release device according to the invention can be designed in such a way that either the bolt or the sleeve is attached to the machine table. Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawing. Show it:
1 shows a quick release device, partly in section,
2 shows the same device in a perspective view,
Fig. 3 shows a variant of a quick release device partially in section and
4 shows the device according to FIG. 3 in a perspective illustration.
1 and 2 show a new snap clamping device in which the bolt forms the lower part that can be fastened to the machine table. For this purpose, the bolt 1 has a widened foot 2 with slots 3 in order to be able to clamp the bolt or its foot on the machine table 4 by turning it by means of a hook wrench. A T-slot screw 5, which has been inserted into a T-slot 6 of the table 4, is used for clamping.
A sleeve 7 is slid onto the bolt 1 fastened in this way and can be displaced relative to the bolt 1 by means of a screw 8 with a hexagon socket. For this purpose, the sleeve has an inwardly projecting collar 9 on which the head of the screw 8 rests.
A clamping claw 10 is arranged displaceably on the outside of the sleeve. It has a bore 11 which is so wide that the claw 10 tilts under load on the outer surface of the sleeve 7 and thus holds it.
It can be easily moved without any load. The inner bore of the sleeve 7 is so large that it can be easily moved onto the bolt 1 (sliding fit).
When handling the quick release device, the bolt is first attached to the desired location on the machine table. The clamping claw is then pressed by hand onto the workpiece 12 to be clamped until it tilts on the sleeve 7.
The clamping force is then increased by tightening the screw 8 using a hexagon wrench.
A compression spring could be arranged in the bore of the sleeve above the bolt 1 so that the collar 9 of the sleeve always rests on the screw head. However, it has been shown that the handling of the tensioning device does not present any difficulties even without such a spring.
The structure of the quick release device shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 is similar to that of the device described. In this device, the sleeve 20 forms the lower part that can be fastened on a machine table 21. For this purpose, the sleeve has a widened foot 22 with slots 23 for tensioning. A threaded rod 24 is screwed centrally into the sleeve, the lower threaded part 25 of which protrudes from the foot and is screwed into a T-nut 26.
The bolt 27 has a central bore through which the rod 24 passes. The bore of the sleeve 20 and the diameter of the bolt 27 are selected so that the bolt can be moved with a sliding fit in the sleeve. A nut 29 is screwed onto the upper threaded end 28 of the rod 24.
The bolt 27 is so long that it always protrudes a little from the sleeve 20. A clamping claw 30 with a bore 31 is pushed onto this protruding part. The hole is so wide that the clamping claw holds itself on the bolt under load due to tilting. The clamping claw can be tightened by means of the nut 29 so that it clamps the workpiece 32.
