Small device assembly unit Main patent 392420 relates to a small device assembly unit in the fields of small mechanics, electronics and watchmaking. This assembly unit is characterized in that it comprises two transporting members, one adapted to receive and transport step by step the parts to be completed, the other adapted to receive and transport step by step successive reserves of the different supplies to be assembled, the trajectories followed by these two categories of objects presenting at least one zone where they pass opposite each other, means finally being provided,
allows the user to act on the first named transport member so as to successively bring each part to be completed in this zone.
It has been found that said assembly unit can be used for other purposes, such as disassembly.
When checking and cleaning small mounted devices or what is called shaving watchmaking, the parts are disassembled and the supplies to be checked and cleaned are usually placed in a wire mesh basket, intended for be introduced into a cleaning machine.
When it comes to disassembling, checking and cleaning a series of several identical small devices, it is essential not to mix their constituent parts, which are not necessarily interchangeable. This results in the obligation to completely dismantle each part one after the other, to have a corresponding number of baskets and to carry out several consecutive cleaning operations, one per basket.
The assembly unit according to the main patent can perfectly lend itself to simplifying and standardizing these operations. Just as it authorizes assembly by successively placing each supply in each part, it also makes it possible to successively dismantle each supply of each part. But, in this case, they should not be mixed together.
To solve this problem, the present invention sees that the member capable of receiving and transporting step by step parts to be completed being a disc comprising on its periphery a series of cells intended to receive them, it is attached to it externally and concentrically. a ring capable of supporting additional cells at the rate of one facing each cell of the said, the bottom of these additional cells being constituted by a metal mesh and further profiled in such a way that it is possible to stack these cells on top of each other.
The appended drawing shows an embodiment of the object of the invention given by way of example and an accessory used for cleaning.
Fig. 1 is a partial plan view of the conveyor disc and of the ring of additional cells surrounding it.
Fig. 2 shows, seen in plan, a preferred cell shape.
Fig. 3 is a schematic section relating to their stacking.
Fig. 4 is a perspective view relating to the accessory.
In fig. 1, the disc-shaped conveyor member is located at 1 and carries on its periphery the cells 2 which, according to the main patent, can be used for mounting small devices and, in this case, receiving small devices mounted for take them apart.
Around this disc and concentrically with the latter is arranged a ring 3 rotating with it and capable of receiving additional cells 4, at the rate of such a cell facing each cell 2 of the disc.
In order to give these additional outer cells 4 the maximum size, they will preferably and as shown, trapezoidal in shape. Fig. 1 is a principle figure, FIG. 2 shows an additional cell .1 in a preferred embodiment.
It is divided into several compartments, the division shown being of course in no way limiting, but preferably comprising small compartments and larger compartments allowing, during dismantling, to separate them by size the various supplies that the 'we place it after dismantling.
As shown, the bottom of the cell 4 consists of a metal mesh, in order to allow a cleaning liquid and impurities to pass through said bottom.
In addition, the cells will have an upper rim S and a corresponding profile of their bottom, as emerges from the schematic section of FIG. 3, allowing them to be stacked by nesting them on top of each other.
Once the chips have been dismantled and their supplies distributed in the cells, it is thus possible to stack a certain number of the latter on top of each other and to carry out cleaning by passing the liquid used through the stack thus formed.
As the machines for cleaning such small parts are not normally shaped so as to be able to receive a stack of cells of the trapezoidal shape considered, but usually baskets of cylindrical profile, it is possible to add to the arrangement according to the invention a member intermediary outside the shape of such a cylindrical basket corresponding to a washing machine of a given type and including internally a housing suitable for receiving the stack of cells, as shown schematically in FIG. 4, where the cylinder 6 represents the volume of said basket, containing the cells 4.
The progress made is obvious. By advancing the disc 1 and the additional cells 4 step by step in front of the operator, the latter will for example start to successively unscrew a given fixing screw of each part, place it in the corresponding additional slot then, on the following turn from the disc, for example, he will remove the member that this screw fixed, place it in the same way in the corresponding additional slot, and so on. until complete disassembly of all supplies. This serial work will be carried out more easily and quickly than successive complete disassembly of each part.
By providing the additional cells with a sign, marker or number indicating their location around the disc, it will be easy. after cleaning, to reassemble each part by a reverse operation of the preceding one and by replacing there the supplies which one cry had previously extracted.
Either during disassembly or during reassembly, it will also be easier to subject each set of dismantled or reassembled supplies to an inspection, and to replace defective supplies.
