Fig. 3 eine schematische Darstellung des Herstellungsverfahrens.
Process for the production of cigarette packs
The invention relates to a method for producing cigarette packs.
So far, cigarettes have usually been packed in packs made of aluminum or plastic foil, which are then placed in rigid packs, such as cups or cardboard boxes provided with a hinged lid or so-called soft packs.
This type of packaging is comparatively complex and has the disadvantage that the packaged cigarettes are exposed to a high degree to the effects of the weather even in the packaging that has not yet been opened, i.e. H. that the shelf life of such packs is limited due to the risk of mold and drying out. In addition, the cross-section of the cigarettes pressed closely together in such packs is deformed in an undesirable manner.
For cigars, a plastic packaging is already known, which consists of a troughed section of a plastic film and a lid which is connected to this along its longitudinal and end edges and covers the troughs, the troughs following one another in a parallel arrangement, each separated by a web.
The object of the invention is to create a simple and inexpensive method for producing such a cigarette packaging, which offers extensive protection against atmospheric influences, excludes mechanical damage to the cigarettes and, if desired, even allows each individual cigarette to be hermetically sealed and, if desired, a space-saving arrangement of the cigarettes in the usual double-row form.
This object is achieved by a method for the production of cigarette packs, which according to the invention is characterized in that in a film web of thermally deformable material fed from a supply roll, the width exceeding the length of the cigarettes to be packaged is separated from one another by webs, corresponding to the cross section of the cigarettes to be accommodated sized depressions are pressed in, these depressions are filled with cigarettes, are now covered by a smooth sheet of film fed from a further supply roll and closed by welding the two sheets of film at their longitudinal edges, whereupon the sheet of film is closed by transverse welding in the number of transverse distances corresponding to the number of cigarettes to be received by each pack and is now broken down along these welds into the packs forming sections.
A further development of the method is characterized in that, at the same time as the welding process, a tear strip is embedded in the side of the weld seams extending along the longitudinal edges and / or transverse welds.
Another advantageous embodiment of the method is characterized in that the webs are made wider and are hermetically sealed to the smooth film by welding.
An additional method step can advantageously be added, which is characterized in that a section is folded by bending it by 1800 so that two layers of cigarettes result.
With the method, the production of cigarette packs of the most varied of embodiments is possible. In particular, there are variations with regard to the opening option. Thus, by actuating the tear thread arranged on the inside of a longitudinal weld seam, it is possible to open the cigarettes in the longitudinal direction, ie. H. by grasping at their head end from the pack. However, it is also possible to open the pack by actuating one of the tear threads located on the inside of the transverse weld seams and pulling the side weld seams apart one after the other, trough after trough, with the entire length of the individual cigarettes being exposed.
The drawings show as exemplary embodiments in
1 shows a plan view of a pack produced by the method according to the invention,
Fig. 2 is a perspective side view of the product of Fig. 1 and He
3 shows a schematic representation of the manufacturing process.
3 shows how the lower film a is passed between the lower roller e 'provided with the depressions to be produced correspondingly profiled recesses and the embossing roller e, which has the embossing ribs h distributed over its circumference.
In Fig. 1, the lower film is designated with a and the upper film with b, which is partially broken away in FIG. 1 to make the cigarette-receiving troughs c visible.
The two film strips are dimensioned so wide that on the outside of the cigarette-receiving troughs there is a non-embossed strip that is sufficient for the production of the longitudinal weld seams d ', d ".
Likewise, at the ends of the pack, due to a corresponding design of the embossing roller e and its counter roller e ', the continuous trough arrangement is interrupted in the length of the pack by a wider transverse strip f serving for welding. The tear strip inserted on the inside of the weld seam formed here is designated by g ', and the tear strip optionally inserted into the side of the longitudinal weld seam is designated by g ″.
After passing through the embossing roller and after cooling the thermoplastic film, the troughs c formed in this way are filled with cigarettes k supplied by the cigarette machine via a feeder i at the appropriate intervals and automatically inserted into the troughs passing by. The upper film d is then placed on it and welded to the lower film at the welding station 1 at its side edges and at the following welding station m at distances corresponding to the length of the individual pack at their transverse edges. The packs are then successively separated from one another by a cutting device indicated at n.
The top film of the pack can be printed in an appropriate manner and the finished pack can then be sold as such, but it can also be placed in a conventional sliding box.
It is also possible to bend the pack, which constitutes a body that is flexible in its entirety, around itself by 180, so that two layers of cigarettes then result in the box.
If a completely hermetic closure of the individual cigarettes is desired, it is also possible to weld or glue them to the upper film, with appropriately wider dimensions of the webs located between the hollows, although it must be taken into account that this will damage the previously inserted Cigarettes, especially those exposed to heat, are to be avoided.
In a preferred variant of the method, the tear strip is inserted between the two foils at the same time as the welding process, in the case of its transverse and longitudinal arrangement.
The finished packs are banded in an appropriate manner, e.g. B. by sticking the tear strip with the banderole.
