Device for detecting the slipping of the clamp of a cable car body on its carrying-tractor cable, when it is hooked to the cable The present invention relates to a device for detecting the sliding of the clamp of a cable car body on its carrier-tractor cable, when it is hooked to the cable.
This device is characterized by the fact that it comprises a mobile capable of moving along a section of the cable on the path of the bucket, when it is driven by this bucket, and connected to braking means of said bucket. mobile comprising a brake cylinder in which moves a piston integral with said mobile, means for maintaining in the cylinder a pressure proportional to the required clamping force, means for detecting any variation of at least one magnitude related to the displacement of said moving body with respect to a reference value, and triggering and alarm means controlled by said detection means.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the present invention.
Fig. 1 shows an elevational view of the device.
Fig. 2 shows a detail of the device.
Fig. 3 represents the hydraulic and mechanical diagram of the device.
Fig. 4 represents the electrical diagram of the device.
In the drawing, 1 is a segment of a carrying-tractor cable intended for driving in direction F of skips of which only the carriage of one of them is shown (fig. 1).
This bucket, which must be attached to the cable 1 by a clamp 3, can be rolled using rollers 4 on rails 5 of a cable car departure station in which the device is installed.
The gripper control mechanism 3 and the actuating members of this mechanism which are arranged along the rails 5 have not been shown. They are indeed well known and are in particular the subject of Swiss patents Nos 386312, 391118 and 391119 of the holder.
The control device itself comprises two slides, one of which 6 is visible, arranged parallel to and above the cable 1 and supported by a frame consisting of two supports 7 and 8 welded to a transverse plate 9 and connected to an upper connecting plate 10 itself fixed to uprights 11 fixed to a support 12.
Along the slide 6 can move a carriage 13 carrying an arm 14 provided with a guide roller 15 guiding the arm along the slide 6 and carrying at its end a slightly elastic stop consisting of a rocker 16 pivoted at 17 on the arm 14 and carrying a stop roller 18 against which abuts the carriage 2 of the bucket. The shock is damped by means of a stop block 19 of plastic material.
The shock is also damped by two neoprene shock absorbers (registered trademark) 20 and 21 mounted on a bar 22 integral with the arm 14, on either side of a vertical part 23 traversed by the bar 22 and whose upper end 24 is attached to a cable 25 passing over a fixed pulley 26 and over a mobile reeving pulley 27, the other end of this cable being attached to a damper 28 (FIG. 2).
The movable pulley 27 is fixed to a yoke 29 integral with the piston 30 of a hydraulic cylinder 31. The pis ton 30 carries a vertical plate 32 intended to actuate two microswitches 33 and 34 fixed to the frame 10. The hydraulic cylinder 31 is connected by a conduit 35 to a hydraulic circuit shown in FIG. 3.
The position of the carriage 13 at the end of its travel is shown in dotted lines (13 '). It can be seen that in this position the stop 16 'rises thanks to the curved end 36 of the slide 6 against which rolls the roller 15. In the hydraulic diagram of the device, shown in FIG. 3, the mechanical elements of the device have been shown in a simplified manner.
We recognize the cylinder 11 in which a piston 37 moves, and the pipe 35 connected on the one hand to a motor pump unit 38 through a non-return valve 39 supplying the cylinder and maintaining a minimum pressure in the cylinder of this cylinder, and on the other hand to a duct 40 which can be connected either to a duct 41 or to a duct 42 by an electrically controlled idle 43, itself controlled by a balance 44 responsible for determining, when the. tipper whether it is loaded or not.
The conduits 41 and 42 each end in an adjustable safety valve 45, respectively 46, allowing the adjustment of the passage pressure, that is to say of the braking force for one and the other. 'other case. The liquid then returns through a conduit 47 and a filter 48 into the tank, see not shown.
On each of the conduits 41 and 42 is connected a pressure switch 49, respectively 50.
The hydraulic circuit finally comprises a link 51 through a solenoid valve 52. The pressure switches 49 and 50 are arranged so as to be triggered if the liquid which passes through them, when the piston 37 moves from right to left during braking, does not exert not a determined pressure, resulting from the drive of the carriage 14 by the carriage of the bucket 2. The pressure switches therefore make it possible to perform a first detection of the slippage of the clamp 3, such slippage causing a drop in pressure in the cylinder of the cylinder.
The device further comprises another means for detecting the slipping of the gripper, consisting of a centrifugal trigger 53 mounted on the axis 54 of the fixed pulley 26. Instead of a centrifugal trigger, it is also possible to use a tacho-generator or a MARO limiter (registered trademark) made up of a permanent magnet rotor rotating in a stator, the induction effect causing the stator box to rotate and producing a greater or lesser torque depending on the number of turns, on the stator box shaft, and comprising a cam controlling the contacts, the front cam overcomes the force of an adjustable spring as in the case of centrifugal trip units.
The shock absorber 28 (fig. 2) can also be used as an additional detection device. For this purpose, it could actuate a switch 55, preferably a toggle switch, so that when the truck of the dumpster abuts against the stop 18, the damper actuates the switch 55, and that in the event of sliding of the clamp, that is to say of releasing the compressive force on the spring 56 of the shock absorber, the latter by its return back activates the switch 55 again causing the triggering of the circuit safety device and shutdown of the tipper cable drive motor.
The succession of operations will be described in relation to the electrical diagram of the device, shown in FIG. 4.
When a bucket is attached to the cable, it first passes over the scale 44. If the bucket is insufficiently loaded to actuate the switch 57 of the scale, the latter remains open and the relay B is not excited. The bucket then passes over rocker 59 which activates switch 58 closing the excitation circuit of relay A which attracts and remains on its contact a2 and the limit switch 34 of jack 31. Relay B does not can be energized, its contact b2 remains open and the solenoid valve 43 is not actuated, so that it is the circuit of the pressure switch 49 which checks the clamping of the clamp.
On the other hand, if the skip is loaded, the scale 44 actuates the switch 57 closing the excitation circuit of the relay B through the rest contact al of the relay A, the relay B remaining on its contact b1 through the switch 34. The solenoid valve 43 is then energized through the contact b2 and it is the pressure switch 50 which is put into service. - The carriage of the bucket having abutted against the roller 18 of the carriage 13, it drives the piston of the jack 31 and the centrifugal release 53. As long as there is no slippage of the clamp, a circuit is closed through the contact of the centrifugal release 33 and one or the other of the pressure switches 49 or 50, through the relay C controlling the safety circuit 60.
This relay C is normally energized in the rest state of the device through the contact of switch 33, and the safety circuit 60 is closed through contact c2. At the start of the clamping check, the arm 32 of the piston 30 and of the cylinder 31 activates the switch 33 which opens the circuit of the relay C, maintained as long as there is no slippage, by the one of the pressure switches 49 or 50 and the centrifugal release 53. When it reaches the end of its stroke, the piston 30 actuates the switch 34 which causes the release of the relay A, respectively B. At this time, the carriage 13 has arrived at the end of the slide 6, the stop 18 disengages from the trolley of the bucket and releases the latter.
The piston of the cylinder subjected to the pressure in the duct 35 is automatically brought back, and the two switches 34 and 33 are actuated again, closing the excitation circuit of the relay C maintaining the safety circuit.
On the other hand, in the event that the clamp slips on its cable, one or the other of the pressure switches 49 or 50 detects a drop in pressure and cuts off the holding circuit of relay C which causes it to fall and l 'opening of contact c2 opening the safety circuit which causes the drive motor to stop and triggers the alarm. If the pressure switch does not react, or belatedly, the centrifugal release 53 detects the slowing down of the pulley 26 and cuts the relay C excitation circuit.
In series with these two switches, the switch 55 shown in FIG. 2.
A relatively simple device is thus obtained offering great security.
