Method and device for grinding and sifting a granular material, in particular cement The invention relates to a method for grinding and sifting a granular material in a closed circuit, in particular cement, in which the feed material is ground and then the ground material is sifted and placed in a stream of grains and in a stream of fines is broken down, the stream of grains being returned to the stream of feed and the stream of fines delivering the finished product, as well as a device for carrying out the method.
Known systems for carrying out this method, which have a mill and a "giant" sifter switched on in the closed circuit of the same, are designed for the production of a single type of cement. The known regulating devices for maintaining a prescribed degree of fineness of the finished product are complex and / The conversion of a plant designed for a certain cement quality for the production of a cement type of higher fineness is also extremely laborious and time-consuming, and operation under conditions that do not correspond to the original design is uneconomical.
The aim of the invention is to overcome these disadvantages, and its aim is to provide a method with which the fine adjustment of the finished product can be carried out in the simplest possible way in systems which are used for the production of a finished product of the fineness for which they are designed, and with which process it is also possible to operate a plant for the production of a finished product of higher fineness than the one for which it is designed, with the conversion to this being possible quickly and in the simplest manner.
For this purpose, a method of the type described at the outset is carried out according to the invention in such a way that a partial flow is withdrawn from the flow of fines and introduced into the closed circuit.
Investigations have shown that the fineness of the fine material from a sifter is essentially proportional to the fineness of the material to be sifted, all other things being equal. The invention makes use of this knowledge and brings about a higher degree of fineness of the goods to be classified in that the fine material content thereof is increased by feeding in fine material from the fine material flow leaving the classifier.
Devices for performing the method according to the invention are shown schematically in the drawing. FIGS. 1 to 4 show four different such devices, with corresponding parts bearing the same reference numerals.
A mill 1 and a classifier 2 can be seen in each figure. A Griesen pipe 3 leads from the classifier 2 to the mill inlet 4, into which a raw material pipe 5 also opens. A bucket elevator 6 connects the mill discharge 7 with the entry of the separator 2. The separator is thus "switched on from the giant side in the closed circuit of the mill.
The fine feed line 8 emanating from the classifier 2 opens into a continuously adjustable switch 9.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1, a finished product line 10 leads from one discharge side of the switch 9 outside the system. A partial flow line 11 leads from the other discharge side of the switch 9 to the foot of the bucket elevator 6.
By arbitrarily selecting the position of the switch 9, any partial flow can be taken from the fine material flow coming from the classifier 2 and introduced into the closed circuit of the mill 1 immediately before the classifier entry, i.e. into the flow of the material to be classified, the grist flow coming from the mill will. This increases the fineness of the goods to be sifted and thereby increases the fineness of the fine goods or the finished goods. The devices required for this are extremely simple and inexpensive, and the actuation of the regulation is extremely time-saving and simple.
The device shown in FIG. 2 differs from that shown in FIG. 1 only in that the partial flow line 12 is not at the foot of the cup mechanism 6, but at the foot of a second cup mechanism 66 that only transports the material of the partial flow to the classifier entry leads. This embodiment is particularly suitable for systems that are subsequently redesigned to carry out the method according to the invention, and in which the branched off partial flow is so large that the original bucket elevator 6 is unable to convey the additional amount of material.
However, it can also be advantageous where the maximum partial flow is so great that the shutdown of the bucket elevator 66 when the entire flow of fine material is discharged through the finished product line 10 brings a possible energy saving.
In the system according to FIG. 3, the partial flow line 13 does not lead, like the partial flow line 11 in FIG. 1, to the foot of the bucket elevator 6, but to the mill inlet 4. By means of the switch 9, a partial flow of the fine material flow coming from the classifier 2 can be fed into the task material flow, which is composed of the raw material flow and the grain flow, are introduced. In this case, the partial flow is introduced into the closed circuit of the mill immediately upstream of the mill 1.
This embodiment has the advantage that some of the fine material coming from the classifier 2 is subjected to a grinding process again. This is an advantage if there is an inadmissible amount of oversized grain in the fine material. However, it still has the disadvantage that the fine material returned to the grinding process may cause undesirable agglomeration and a buffering effect in the mill.
The system according to FIG. 4 combines the advantages of the systems according to FIGS. 1 and 3 and largely avoids their disadvantages. The elements of both systems are united in it. The switch 9 is followed by a second switch 99 on the finished goods side, from which not only the finished goods line 10 but also the partial flow line 11 leading to the foot of the bucket elevator 6 branches off, while the partial flow line 13 leading to the mill entry 4, as in FIG Switch 9 branches off.
This system makes it possible to introduce a partial flow directly upstream of the mill 1 and directly upstream of the classifier 2, depending on the nature of the fine material leaving the classifier, into the closed circuit of the mill.
The method according to the invention has the small disadvantage that the specific energy consumption of the system increases with the amount of fine material introduced into the closed circuit of the mill. The process is therefore particularly suitable for the case where a system is mainly used for the production of a finished product, for the fineness of which it is designed, and only briefly for the production of a finished product of higher fineness and for regulating the prescribed fineness of the Finished product in denje nigen cases, since a plant is used to manufacture a product of the fineness for which it is designed.
