Machine for the interior coating of a tube The object of the invention is a machine for the interior coating of a tube with a pasty material, characterized by a frame on which the tube to be treated is placed horizontally, by means of 'drive in rotation of said tube about its axis, by a cylinder forming a transient reservoir for a coating material and of which at least the dispensing opening has a diameter equal to that of the opening of the tube to be coated, said cylinder being fixed to the frame at one end of this tube, by a piston for driving the coating material into the tube and by means for axially driving said piston.
By way of example, this invention is intended for the coating of metal tubes for the evacuation of waste water, tubes coated internally with a protective layer, for example a material based on cemented products.
The attached drawing represents a particular embodiment of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a side view of it ; FIGS. 2 and 3 are respectively perpendicular and longitudinal sections, on a larger scale, of the elements of FIG. 1.
The device shown in the drawing comprises a frame 1 on which are mounted three tubes 2, 3, 4 placed end to end, the two outer tubes 2 and 4 being fixed and the central tube 3 being driven in rotation.
The tube 2 is fixed to the frame 1 by supports 5. It serves as a reservoir for the coating material 6 and comprises an opening 7 through which the quantity of material necessary for the coating can be introduced by means of the funnel 8 .
Tube 3 is the tube to be treated. It is held by means of at least two rings 9, pierced with three radial openings in which grub screws 10 are engaged, making it possible to center the tube. These rings 9 rest on pairs of rollers 11 fixed to the frame 1 by supports 12 and at least one of which is rotated by mechanical means of which only the wheel 13 is shown in the drawing.
The tube 4 is fixed to the frame 1 by supports 14. It makes it possible to guide the piston 15 as it leaves the tube 3 and ensures the regularity of the thickness of the coating up to the end of the tube to be coated. On the other hand, it is used to recover the excess material.
The piston 15 serves to push the coating material 6 inside the tubes. It has a frustoconical end 16 and is driven inside the tubes 2, 3, 4 by a cable 17 passing through a guide element 18 keeping it in the axis of the tubes.
The end of the drive cable 27 not connected to the piston is integral with a traction device of which only the winding coil 19 is shown in the drawing.
As the tube to be coated is generally made of sheets welded along a helical or straight line, its outer surface has a weld bead and it is to avoid these irregularities that said tube is kept in rings 9, integral with the rotating tube. and preferably without contact with the solder.
