<U> Feeding device on </U> Elysizing grinding machines The invention relates to a feeding device on Elysizing grinding machines with a preselectable constant setting of the contact pressure, in particular for grinding hard metal tools.
In the known electrical grinding machines, the feed takes place through the workpiece table, which is actuated electromechanically, hydraulically or pneumatically. Since the choice of the contact pressure of the workpiece against the grinding wheel plays a very important role, in that if the contact pressure is too high, the workpiece heats up and there is a risk of cracking and high grinding wheel wear, the feed devices are provided with preselectable pressure settings.
With this device, an even, constant contact pressure can be achieved. In a known device, the workpiece is hydraulically ge leads to the workpiece table against the grinding wheel. After the disc-workpiece contact, the pressure increases to a previously selected value according to the workpiece size, and electrolytic grinding takes place. After finishing the grinding operation, the workpiece table automatically moves back to its starting position, the pulse being triggered by preselected time or geometric limits.
The workpiece table including its guide is pivoted so that the various angles can be ground. Depending on the setting of the workpiece table, a corresponding downhill force arises due to the inclination of the table.
The downhill force is dependent on the angular position of the workpiece table, the weight of the device and the weight of the tool and is added or subtracted with the set hydraulically generated contact force and thus acts as a disturbance variable. Further disturbance variables are the guidance of the workpiece table, which lies in the electrolyte area and is therefore exposed to electrolytic attacks, as well as mechanical friction and sticking or sticking.
the fluid friction of the hydraulic working cylinder and its sealing means. Due to these disturbance variables, an exact surface pressure between workpiece and grinding wheel is not guaranteed, especially for small areas. The consequence of this is correspondingly high grinding wheel wear, which makes the process uneconomical for smaller areas.
The invention is based on the object of creating a feed device in which the smallest, continuously adjustable pressing forces can be generated, a faultless, trouble-free function is guaranteed and low manufacturing costs arise. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the infeed is carried out electromagnetically by the work spindle or the workpiece table, the preselectable contact pressure being adjustable by the current control of the electromagnet.
The work spindle expediently rests on a spindle slide movable in the feed plane, which is preferably coupled to an electromagnet for the feed movement and a hydraulic or pneumatic pressure cylinder for the return movement of the work spindle, whereby the pressure cylinder can also be provided as a damper for the feed movement.
The workpiece table can also be mounted on a slide that can be moved in the infeed plane, which is preferably coupled to an electromagnet for the infeed movement and a hydraulic or pneumatic pressure cylinder for the return movement of the carriage, the pressure cylinder also being provided as a damper for the infeed movement can be. In this design, however, it is necessary that the guide tracks of the slide, which are in the electrolyte area, are well covered.
Since the infeed is electromagnetic and thus contact-free, a jolt-free slide movement is guaranteed. The force as a function of the path has no hysteresis, since the fluid or mechanical friction in the pressure cylinder and the sticking of the piston does not occur. By controlling the strength of the current of the electromagnet, the desired contact pressure can be set exactly, whereby in particular the lowest contact pressures can be achieved.
The arrangement of an electromagnet is very simple and requires little effort compared to the known pressure regulators, which work hydraulically or pneumatically. In addition, the maintenance and care is very low, since the device consists of a few simple components. With the device, force changes can be carried out both in several stages and continuously during processing. The sensitive adjustment of the contact force guarantees a long service life for the diamond grinding wheel and enables chip breaker to be ground in particular.
The feed device is suitable for the puncture and in particular fen due to the electro-magnetic feed for Pendelschlei.
The invention will be explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment. In the accompanying drawings: Fig. 1 shows a plan view of a feed device with work spindle, Fig. 2 shows a section AA according to FIG. 1, Fig. 3 shows a section BB according to FIG. 2. The feed device consists of a spindle slide 5 on which the working spindle 3 is attached to the grinding wheel 4. The spindle slide 5 is supported in the slide guide 6 and is movable in the infeed plane.
The work spindle 3 is driven via a drive 8 by a drive motor 79 which is flanged to the spindle slide 5. In front of the grinding wheel 4, a pivotably mounted workpiece table 1 for receiving the. Work piece 2 is arranged. The workpiece table 1 also performs the oscillation required for pendulum grinding across the grinding wheel 4. The spindle slide 5 is coupled to the machine frame, not shown, with an electromagnet 11 and a pressure cylinder 13. The electromagnet 11 is attached to an angle 9 connected to the machine stand.
The magnet core 12 is arranged on an angle 10 fastened to the spindle slide 5.
The pressure cylinder 13 is also attached to the extension of the angle 9. A stop bracket 15 for the return movement of the spindle slide 5 is provided on the pressure cylinder 13. The piston 14 of the pressure cylinder 13 is connected to the spindle slide 5 via a stop pin 16.
The grinding operation is fully automated through the electromagnetic infeed. The operator simply clamps the workpiece 2 on the workpiece table 1 by means of quick clamping. After previously setting the desired contact pressure using a potentiometer (not shown) and the grinding time, the grinding process is automatically triggered by pressing a start button. The grinding wheel 4 is guided by the electromagnet 11 against the workpiece 2, the infeed movement being dampened by the pressure cylinder 13 acting as a damper until it reaches the grinding wheel 4.
After the grinding wheel-workpiece touches, the full electromagnetic contact pressure acts according to the set value, and workpiece 2 is ground electrolytically. If pendulum grinding is involved, the workpiece table 1 performs an additional oscillating longitudinal feed movement transversely to the grinding wheel 4 during the grinding operation. After the grinding operation has ended, corresponding to the set period of time, the spindle slide 5 automatically returns to its starting position through the pressure cylinder 13 so that a new grinding process can be carried out after the workpiece has been changed.
