Doppelwandiger Tank
Double walled tank
The main patent relates to a double-walled tank with an inner wall made of steel and an outer wall made of plastic. A cavity can be formed between the walls, which can be filled with a warning liquid, so that its target level changes if the inner or outer wall leaks, whereby a warning signal can be generated. According to patent claim I of the main patent, this tank is characterized in that between the inner and the outer wall there is a spacing wire mesh or wire mesh and a film on the wire mesh or wire mesh that serves as a base for the outer wall. The main patent also relates to a method for manufacturing such a tank.
The same is characterized in that the wire mesh or wire mesh is placed on the inner wall and the film is placed on the same, and then the plastic intended for the formation of the outer wall is applied to the film in a plastic state and allowed to harden on the same.
The aim of the present invention is to avoid certain difficulties which arise in the manufacture of the tank indicated in the main patent from the fact that a wire mesh or wire mesh, if it is made with the wire diameter required in practice, be relatively stiff and only with difficulty on the surface the inner wall can be attached. The tank according to the present invention is characterized in that the grid is made of plastic and is provided with spacer-retaining lugs that are supported on the inner wall. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing this tank.
This method is characterized in that the plastic grid provided with the lugs is placed on the inner wall so that the lugs touch the inner wall, then the film is placed on the grid, and finally the plastic intended for the formation of the outer wall in a plastic state on the Apply foil and let it harden on the same.
An exemplary embodiment of the double-walled tank according to the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing. In the drawing, in which the same parts are provided with the transfer symbols as in the main patent, shows:
1 shows a plan view of a grid made of plastic; and
FIG. 2 shows a section along line II-II of FIG. 1, the grid being drawn between the inner wall of the outer wall of the double-walled tank.
The grid lla shown in Fig. 1 and 2 has two groups of perpendicular crossing bars 31 and 32, which, however, in contrast to the bars of the wire mesh shown in the main patent are not on top of each other, but all in the same plane. This is because the grid is not made of wire, but in an extension machine made of plastic, e.g. Polyethylene, molded, e.g. pressed between two rollers in a continuous web. In this case, warts 33 have also been formed in the crossing points of the bars 1 and 2, all of which are directed towards the same side.
The grille 11 is in turn arranged as a spacer between the steel inner wall 10 of the double-walled tank and its outer wall 13 made of plastic, with the thin film 12 serving as a base for the latter between the grille 11 and the outer wall 13, e.g. made of aluminum or cellulose, is provided.
During the manufacture of the tank, the grid 11 is placed on the inner wall 10 in such a way that the free ends of the lugs 33 come to rest on the same. The film 12 is then placed on the grid, the plastic intended for forming the outer wall 13, e.g. glass fiber reinforced epoxy or polyester resin, in the plastic state on the film 12 and allows it to harden.
Compared to a wire mesh or wire mesh, the plastic mesh 11a mainly offers the advantage that it is much more flexible and also somewhat stretchable, so that it can be applied more easily to the surface of the inner wall 10. In addition, the warts 33 only touch the inner wall 10 in discrete points, while in the case of a wire mesh or wire mesh there is a line contact between a part of the wire and the inner wall 10, so that the present mesh 11a a flow of warning fluid that is in the cavity between the inner wall 10 and the foil 12 is located, offers less resistance. Finally, the grid 11a is a better base for the foil 12 than a wire grid in which this foil is only on one group of bars.
Of course, the spacers 33 do not necessarily have to be provided in the crossing points of the bars, or only some of the crossing points could be provided with warts. It is clear that the grid need not necessarily have square meshes. The grid can e.g. have three sets of crossing bars that form triangular meshes.
