Sanitary apparatus The invention relates to a sanitary apparatus with a standpipe arranged in a concealed overflow shaft, one of the back wall of the apparatus in the lower area break through the drain hole opening into the overflow shaft and one in the overflow shaft below the drain hole a control element which can be controlled over the upper end of the overflow shaft.
A sanitary apparatus with the aforementioned construction features is already known in print. In this case, the standpipe fixed in place in the overflow shaft is sealed against the wall of the overflow shaft by a sealing ring surrounding the same below the drainage hole.
The drain valve consists of a height. the drainage hole of the shell located pipe wall breakthrough and a cooperating therewith, by the operating organ changeable in its position via an intermediate member. The standpipe also forms part of the odor trap.
In particular, a change in the statutory regulations prevented the practical implementation of this construction, because the odor trap must no longer contain any easily removable parts.
In addition, it has been found through practical tests that with the aforementioned construction, the slide can easily get jammed in the standpipe (especially if the sanitary apparatus is not used for a longer period of time). It has also proven to be desirable to close the overflow opening in the standpipe when emptying the sanitary apparatus.
The invention has set itself the goal of eliminating these disadvantages ge and also to drastically increase the drainage cross-section for the purpose of faster emptying of the basin and thus ensured prevention of dirt deposits, but without reducing the advantages of the known arrangement.
The invention consists in the fact that the standpipe fastened in the overflow shaft has at least one overflow hole in the upper area and ends above the mouth of the drainage hole in the overflow shaft th slide, which can be controlled by the control unit via at least one intermediate element,
as well as a seal arranged below the drainage hole in the overflow shaft and that the standpipe with the slide and the operating element with intermediate element forms a single structural unit that can be inserted into the overflow shaft from above.
An embodiment of the invention will be described with reference to the drawing, and advantageous design features of the subject matter of the invention will emerge from the description. 1 shows the rear area of a wash basin in a vertical longitudinal section through the longitudinal axis of the overflow shaft; .
The wash basin 1 (Fig. 1) has the unformed overflow shaft 1a at its rear part, which here has a practically circular cross-section. The basin 1c is cup-shaped and communicates through the drain hole 1b with the overflow shaft 1a. The siphon 9 is used to form the Ge odor trap 9a and is preferably made of ceramic material. However, it is often advisable to mold it from plastic or metal. The siphon, il 9 is subsequently added to the pool body 1 by known measures.
The siphon can be covered by an apron (not shown) that is attached to the basin body 1.
The drain valve consists initially of a slide over 5, which is designed as a piece of pipe and slide in the standpipe 2 to fit. This standpipe is only so long that a sufficiently precise axial guidance of the slide 5 is guaranteed. The actuating rod 5a is attached to the latter by means of the holder 5b. The holder 5 is designed so that overflow water can flow out of the overflow shaft la through the overflow holes 2a and through the interior of the slide 5 downwards un hindered. This can be achieved, for example, by a star shape of the holder 5.
The cooperating with the slide 5, fixed part of the drain valve is formed by a valve seat 6 made of metal or plastic, which is sealed with means of the O-ring 8 of sealing, rubber-elastic material against the inner wall of the overflow shaft la. In Fig. 1 the drain valve is shown in ge closed position. To open the slide 5 is raised by lifting the operating member 7 so w: it until it hits the inside of the cap 3. He closes the overflow holes 2a.
The cap 3 engages on all sides over the ring 4, which is firmly connected to the upper end of the overflow shaft l a a related party. The connection between cap 3 and ring 4 is achieved by means of the bayonet lock (bayonet lock) 4a. The seal 4b made of elastic material holds the cap 3 in place after it has been snapped into the ring 4.
The drainage hole 1b has such an extension that the valve seat 6 and the O-ring 8 can be introduced and replaced through the drainage hole and the drain valve can be easily checked and cleaned. In the shown attachment of the standpipe without a cross-sectional constriction of the upper Tei les of the overflow shaft assembly of the parts 6 and 8 is also possible from above, with the drain combination removed.
The described arrangement results in the following advantages over the corresponding previously known construction: The guided length of the slide could be doubled, which means that the slide can get stuck or jam much less often.
The initial swallowing capacity of the drain is almost doubled compared to other designs.
The cross-section in the valve plane, which is decisive for emptying the wash basin, is increased by about 50 ver compared to that of the common basin valves.
The standpipe is no longer part of the odor trap.
