Fig. 2 zeigt zwei Ziegelsteinlagen eines mit dem erfindungsgemässen Bauspielzeug erbauten Mauerwerks. Im linken Teil der Fig. 2 ist das äussere Aussehen des Mauerwerks veranschaulicht;
Construction toys The invention relates to a construction toy with components made of plastic in the form of brick models that are provided with coupling members.
Construction toys are already known in which components can be coupled together directly. It is an object of the invention to create a construction toy made of plastic with the help of which the appearance of masonry can be particularly faithfully imitated who can.
This is achieved according to the invention by flat inter mediate pieces made of plastic, which are provided at least on one bearing surface with coupling elements which interact with the coupling elements of the compo elements. The intermediate pieces can be distinguished from the preferably red or brown brick models by a white, gray or similar color and then represent mortar parts between the bricks of a natural wall.
The coupling members are given before given on the flat sides of the brick models and the spacers. The thickness of the intermediate pieces can advantageously be at least 1/6, but preferably 2/9, the height of the brick models, that is, the distance between the two flat sides. With this dimensioning, masonry with a very natural appearance can be obtained.
The coupling elements of the intermediate pieces preferably consist of protruding knobs and the coupling elements of the brick models of holes complementary to the knobs. The holes can reach right through the brick model so that a knob can dig into a hole on each side.
A firm connection between the brick models and the intermediate pieces can be achieved by the fact that the knobs fit into the holes with presses.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, two knobs sit on each flat side of an intermediate piece, and each brick model has two through holes between its flat sides. There can also be spacers with a single knob. on each flat side and brick models with a single through hole.
The knobs can be hollow, the thickness of the side walls of the knobs being selected to be so small that they yield elastically; The recesses in the middle of the round knobs offer the advantage that material shrinkage is not visible and the elasticity of the knobs is increased.
The natural appearance of masonry built with the building toy according to the invention can be further increased if the intermediate pieces each have a side part extending at right angles to them, the length of which is preferably equal to the height of a brick model and its thickness preferably equal to the thickness of an intermediate piece. In the assembled state, these side parts place the mortar in the vertical joints between. the bricks.
Preferably, the length of a brick model plus the thickness of the angled side part, an intermediate piece, is equal to twice the width of the brick model. The brick models with the intermediate pieces can therefore be installed lengthways and crossways to form masonry. Advantageously, however, a kit also contains half-length building blocks and associated half-length intermediate pieces, which are preferably also provided with an angled side part.
The length of half a brick model plus the thickness of an angled side part is preferably equal to the width of the brick models.
The brick models preferably have, in addition to the holes for coupling together with the intermediate pieces and the intermediate pieces, further holes of smaller diameter for fastening fence and gate parts or the like. This further increases the variety of possible combinations.
For the construction of arches, wells, chimneys or similar union structures, it may be advantageous to make the intermediate pieces wedge-shaped; When these wedge-shaped spacers are used, the brick modules come to lie at a mutual angle. Here at the intermediate piece can be wedge-shaped either in cross section or in longitudinal section.
Instead of those side parts firmly verbun with the spacers, separate vertical spacers with or without coupling elements can be seen that can be pushed into the vertical joints of a wall built from the building toy.
Such vertical spacers or separate Be tenteile, which are steck bar between the stones as transverse joints, can be provided with a profiled surface in order to cooperate with appropriately profiled end faces of the stones. However, it is not required that these vertical intermediate or side parts are specially held. It is often enough to simply insert them into the vertical joints.
The coupling elements on the brick models and spacers can also be formed other than from knobs and holes. For example, the coupling organs on the intermediate pieces can consist of longitudinal webs protruding on both sides and the coupling organs on the brick models can consist of longitudinal slots that are complementary to the longitudinal webs.
Also, two projections with a cross-shaped cross-section can be arranged on each of the two flat sides of the intermediate pieces, and recesses that are complementary in cross-section on the brick models. With this design, the brick models provided with the intermediate pieces can again be plugged together at right angles to one another.
The coupling elements of the intermediate pieces can also consist of holes. In this case, it is advisable to make the spacers thicker and to provide several knobs of small diameter and small height in order to ensure good adhesion between the parts.
It can also be advantageous to connect the preferably white-colored spacers with or without Seitentei len on one side to a brick model by gluing or even during production by a common extrusion or injection process, so that in this case the spacer and brick model only each the bearing surfaces carry coupling elements.
This fixed connection can be achieved by using a suitable adhesive, e.g. B. is water-soluble, can also be formed reversibly. Here, reversible adhesive films or tapes or a layer of a corresponding adhesive can advantageously be arranged between the one support surface of a brick model and the adjacent support surface of the intermediate piece,
when the inter mediate pieces are pressed against the brick models, they create an adhesive connection that can be released by pulling hard.
In the following the invention will be described in more detail with reference to schematic drawings of exemplary embodiments.
Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of the invention in perspective.
FIG. 2 shows, partially in section, a wall erected with the aid of the structural elements according to FIG.
Fig. 3 shows a side view of an intermediate piece riding a modified embodiment of the coupling members. In FIG. 4, the intermediate piece according to FIG. 3 is shown in elevation.
Fig. 5 shows an intermediate piece, the coupling organs are formed according to a further modification of the inven tion, in plan view.
In Fig. 6, wedge-shaped ZRvischen pieces suitable for the construction of round arches are shown.
7 shows an intermediate piece, the coupling members of which are designed according to a further modification of the invention.
Fig. 8 shows in side elevation and Fig. 9 in elevation of a brick model, the coupling organs of which can interact with those of the intermediate piece according to FIG.
In Fig. 1, a brick model 1 of length 1, width b and height h is shown. In the brick model 1 there are two through holes 2 and 3 in the direction of the height h. An intermediate piece 10 can be connected to the brick model 1, in which knobs 12 and 13, which sit on both flat sides of the intermediate piece 10, in the holes 2 and 3 into which they fit in a press fit.
The knobs 12 and 13 have cup-like recesses 16 and 17, which give them greater elasticity and, moreover, do not make any material shrinkage occurring after the injection molding process visible. The intermediate pieces 10 have a horizontally right part 11 and an angled side part 18 which, in the assembled state, covers the face of the brick model formed by the width b and the height h.
However, it is advisable to provide some intermediate pieces in a kit without the angled side part 18, so that the horizontal part 11 thereof has the length 1 and the width b of the brick model. These Zbvischen pieces without side part 18 are particularly needed when building wall ends.
In the brick model 1, except for the holes 2 and 3 for receiving the knobs 12 and 13, holes 4 and 5 of smaller diameter are provided, which are aligned with holes 14 and 15 in the spacers and to accommodate further components such. B. gate or fence parts, can serve.
Fig. 2 shows two brick layers of a masonry built with the building toy according to the invention. In the left part of FIG. 2, the external appearance of the masonry is illustrated;
the right part shows the wall in section. In the sectioned illustration, intermediate pieces 10 are shown in the upper row, the knobs 12 and 13 of which are hollow, that is to say provided with cup-like recesses 16 and 17. The intermediate pieces 10 'used in the lower row have massive knobs 12' and 13 ', which are also inserted into the holes 2 and 3 of the brick models 1 with a press fit.
The wall can be made in any number of layers of brick models, and brick models can be inserted in such a way that their end faces are directed outwards, as is usual when building thicker walls. The erection of wall corners and curves is also not difficult.
In particular for corners, curves and the ends of a wall, intermediate pieces that have no side part 18, as well as half brick models and half intermediate pieces that have only one hole 2 or its knob 12, even without an angled side part 18, can be used advantageously .
When using spacers without an angled side part 18, a free distance remains between every two adjacent brick models, which corresponds to the thickness of the missing angled side part and allows adjacent brick models to pivot against one another. In this way, walls can be rounded and in particular round towers, fountains, chimneys or the like can be built.
3 and 4 have the spacers 20 with a horizontal part 21 and a abge angled side part 28 coupling members in the form of longitudinal webs 22 and 23, and the brick models there to complementary longitudinal slots.
Fig. 5 shows a further modification of the coupling ongane an intermediate piece 30, which has a horizontal part 31 and a side part 38 and ver inserts over jumps 32 and 33 with a cross-shaped cross section, similar to the knobs 12 and 13 according to FIG on both flat sides of the horizontal part 31 of the intermediate piece 30 protrude.
The corresponding brick model is provided with corresponding recesses that are cross-shaped in cross-section.
In Fig. 6 wedge-shaped spacers 40 are provided, which represent an advantageous addition to a kit. The wedge-shaped intermediate pieces 40 have knobs 42 and 43 which can be inserted into the holes 2 and 3 of the brick models 1. The flat sides of the intermediate piece 40, from which the knobs 42 and 43 protrude, form an acute angle with one another. The intermediate pieces can wedge-shaped side surfaces, as in Füg. 6 shows ge, or have wedge-shaped end faces.
The former training is particularly suitable for larger round arcs, while the second training for building small rer circular or arc parts can be advantageous. Dv-- wedge-shaped intermediate pieces preferably have no angled side parts. However, it can be advantageous to provide a part extending over the broad side of the adjacent brick model.
A further modification of the coupling members is shown in FIGS. 7, 8 and 9. Here, knobs 55, 55 'and 57, 57' are arranged on the top and bottom of the brick models 1 '. The intermediate pieces 50 have holes 52 and 53 into which the knobs 55, 55 'and 57, 57' can be inserted. In this design of the coupling elements, it is recommended that at least the horizontal part 51 of the intermediate piece 50 should not be too thin.
Preferably, the angled side part 58 is also made with the same thickness. Appropriately, the knobs 55, 55 'and 57, 57' have a small diameter and low height. In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 7 to 9, eight knobs and eight holes are provided.
Separate intermediate pieces, corresponding to the side parts 18, 28, 38, 58, can be provided, which are designed without special coupling elements and can simply be inserted into the joints between the brick models.
The brick models described can have the following dimensions, for example: length 1 = 15 mm; Width b = 8 mm; Height h = 4.5 mm. The thickness of the spacers can then, for. B. 1 mm.
It is particularly advantageous to choose the following dimensions for the components: length 1 = 16 mm, width b = 7.5 mm and height h = 4.5 mm and the thickness of the spacers = 1 mm.
