The invention relates to a projection device for displaying images lying next to one another on a film strip in several rows, in which the rows of images are projected one after the other by means of adjustable optical components.
Projection devices of this type have the advantage of a simpler structure and a much quieter mechanics than other constructions in which the guide for the film strip is moved transversely to the direction of travel of this film strip for changing from one row of images to the other.
In a known construction of this type, the housing accommodating the lens and the housing accommodating the light source and the condenser are adjustable over the entire width of the fixed film tape guide. In this way, after each presentation of a series of images, the lens and the lighting device can be brought before the next series of images.
The disadvantage of this known construction is that the projected image is also offset when changing from one series of images to the other. Such a solution can therefore only be used for the lowest requirements, e.g. B. for toy devices.
The invention has for its object to share the scanning of the individual rows of images by moving optical components to use while avoiding the disadvantages of the known devices ver. For this purpose, in addition to the necessary adjustment in the direction of its optical axis, the objective should also be able to be left unchanged in its position when changing from one image row to the other.
The projection device according to the invention is characterized in that the projection beam path is guided into the projection objective using at least one mirror which can be moved relative to the fist strip and whose optical axis is fixed.
According to one possible embodiment, a projection lamp, a condenser and the projection lens can be arranged in a fixed manner and two simultaneously pivotable, opposing game gel prisms can be switched into the light path between the condenser and the projection lens, which leave space between them for the film strip through which they are to pass can direct the projection luminous flux from the condenser via one image of a series of images into the projection lens.
According to another possible embodiment, a first mirror, for the purpose of changing the row of images to be projected transversely to the direction of the film, can be moved in the direction of the projection light reflected by it, opposed to a second mirror, which is arranged symmetrically to the optical axis of the projection lens, and is fixed to the housing, and through a gear with a Be connected to part of the projection lens, which keeps this lens part by adjusting in the direction of its optical axis with each movement of the first mirror at the distance from the image to be projected corresponding to the focus setting.
In this embodiment, a lighting system (lamp and condenser) can be movably mounted for a change in the row of images to be projected that corresponds to the movement of the first mirror. The lighting system and the first mirror can be attached to a common carrier. The movable first mirror and the movable lens part can be mounted on two intersecting slides that are connected by a pin-and-slot coupling. The angular position of the slot of this pin slot coupling determines the ratio of the movement of the slides connected by the pin slot couplings.
When the moving lens part is arranged at a distance corresponding to its focal length from the film image to be projected, the rays used for imaging run parallel between this lens part and the fixed lens part. The displacement path of the slide that carries the movable lens part must then be the same as the displacement path of the slide that carries the movable first mirror.
Instead of the movable lighting system (lamp and condenser), a fixed lighting device (lamp and condenser) can be used, each of which can illuminate a series of images running across the film strip from the rows of images running along the film strip.
Two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. The presentation of details that are not essential to the invention has been dispensed with in favor of better clarity. In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows a device in a projection device for projecting the images of a film strip with three image rows arranged next to one another and three sound tracks assigned to these image rows.
FIG. 2 shows a plan view of FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of the device for projecting the images of a film strip as shown in FIG. 1, and FIG. 4 shows a plan view of FIG.
In the embodiment example according to FIGS. 1 and 2, a lamp 2, a condenser 3/4, an optical compensating body 5 and an objective 6/7 are fixedly arranged in a device housing 1. Between the optical compensation body 5 and the condenser lens 4 store two mirror prisms 8 and 9 pivotably and the optical cal axis 10 of the lighting device 2 to 4 and the lens 6/7. The mirror prisms 8 and 9 are at right angles to the optical axis 10 and are arranged in such a way that their mirror surfaces 11 and 12 are symmetrical to the optical axis 10 and intersect it at 450.
The mirror surfaces 13 and 14 of the mirror prisms 8 and 9, which are inclined in the same direction, are opposed to one another. The film 15, which has three image rows and three sound tracks, is passed between the two mirror prisms.
Before the start of the reproduction of the three image rows on the film 15, the mirror prisms 8 and 9 are pivoted upwards in the representation according to FIG. 1, so that the upper image row comes to lie between the mirror surfaces 13 and 14 of the mirror prisms 8 and 9. The projection light emanating from the lamp 2 hits the mirror surface 11 through the condenser 3/4, is from there directed to the mirror surface 13, from which it passes through the fitting 15 in the area of the upper row of images to the mirror surface 14,
is reflected from there to the mirror surface 12 and from this through the optical compensating body 5 into the objective 6/7. The lens 6/7 images the images of the upper row of images of the film 15 illuminated in this way on the projection screen.
To change from the upper to the middle row of images, the two mirror prisms 8 and 9 are pivoted around the optical axis 10 to the middle of the rows of images (FIG. 1). After this middle row of images has been projected, the same pivoting movement is carried out towards the lower row of images.
By pivoting the two mirror prisms 8 and 9, the light path between the lens 6/7 and the film 15 is not changed. Therefore, no sharpness correction is required when changing lanes.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, an objective front part 17 and a mirror 18 are fixedly arranged in a device housing 16. The mirror 18 is carried by a tab 19, which in turn is fastened to the device housing 16. The device housing 16 forms guides 20 and 21 for the slides 22 and 23. In this case, the device housing leaves a film guide 24 with which a slot 25 in the slider 22 is covered. The film 15 slides through this film guide 24 and the slot 25.
Shoulder screws 26 and 27 hold the slide 22 in the guide 20. Long holes 28 and 29 through which these shoulder screws 26 and 27 reach through, limit the mobility of the slide 22 in the direction of arrow 30. The same task falls on the shoulder screws 31 and 32 and the elongated holes 33 and 34 for the slide 23 to. A pin 36 engages in a slot 35 in the slide 23. Through this pin-slotted coupling 35, 36 the two slides 22 and 23 form a gear through which a movement of the slide 22 is converted into a movement of the slide 23 of the same size perpendicular to the movement of the slide 22.
The slide 22 carries a mirror 37, by means of a tab 38 to the right of the slot 25 in the presen- tation according to FIG. 3. Left of the slot 25, this mirror 37 is a lighting system 39 with a lamp 40 and a condenser 41, 42, which is also is attached to the slide 22. The slide 23 carries an objective part 43 which, together with the objective front part 17, forms the projection objective.
The direction of the movability of the slide 23 is indicated by an arrow 44.The strongly drawn position of the mirror 37, the lighting system 39, the lens part 43 and the slides 22 and 23 carrying these parts corresponds to the setting for the projection of the upper row of images of the film 15. To switch from the upper row of images to the next lower row, etc., the slide 22 is pushed down in the direction of arrow 30. At the same time, the lighting system 39 and the mirror 37 move downwards until the next row of images lies on the fitting 15 between them.
During this movement, the slide 23 is moved in the direction of the optical axis of the projection lens 17, 43 via the pin 36 and the slot 35 and the lens part 43 is removed from the mirror 18 by the same amount that the mirror 37 moves from the mirror 18 has approached. A position after the slide 22 and 23 have been moved is shown in dashed lines in FIG. The lens part 43 is always held at the same distance from the film 15 by the gear connection of the slides 22 and 23, as can be easily seen from the illustration.
When focusing, this distance corresponds to the focal length of the lens part 43. The bundles of light rays emanating from the individual pixels of the image in front of the mirror 37 therefore run parallel after passing through the lens part 43 and are only shown when they pass through the lens front part 17 collected again on the projection screen. This characteristic of the construction of the projection objective 17, 43 has the effect that a movement of the objective part 43 in the direction of the optical axis of the projection objective has no effect on the sharpness and size of the projection image.
