The invention relates to a long automatic lathe for processing bar material with a headstock that can be moved back and forth, the work spindle of which bears a clamping bushing that opens and closes again after each work cycle under the influence of a control shaft and several actuating organs associated with it, and a rocker - And steel holder bock, which is equipped with a star-shaped arrangement around a material guide, to this radially movable tool receptacles, wherein.
the at the end of the respective work cycle the tapping of the finished machined workpiece from the material rod serving tool for the time during which the headstock to grasp rod material with the clamping sleeve open, the function of the position of the material under axial thrust rod securing stop.
In known automatic lathes of the aforementioned type enclosed, it was not previously possible to push out the remaining piece in the feed direction from the spindle after processing a bar of material still in the working spindle. Simply not because the parting steel, which acts as a stop and which remains in the working position after each work cycle for the duration of the return movement of the headstock, prevents the remaining piece from exiting the work spindle.
As a result, the operator of the Swiss-type automatic lathe has so far had no choice but to remove the remainder of the bar from the machine, which was shut down after the last workpiece was completed, than to remove the bar remainder by tapping it with the finger or using suitable auxiliary devices after releasing the clamping bushing that can be operated independently of the control shaft by means of a hand lever backwards, d. H. to press against the feed direction out of the work spindle. This activity requires a certain individual skill from the operator, since the parting tool only releases part of the face, the Stan genrestes as an attack surface.
On the other hand, it has the disadvantage that the set-up time required to load the machine can no longer be reconciled with the principles of modern, efficient manufacturing methods due to the laborious and time-consuming removal of the remainder of the rod.
This the known automatic lathes of the type mentioned above to avoid adhering disadvantages, the invention has set itself the task, d. H. To further develop and perfect machines of this type so that the resulting bar residues can be ejected from the work spindle in the feed direction of the bar material, which at the same time creates the prerequisites for fully automatic operation of the Swiss-type automatic lathe with automatic feed while avoiding laborious and costly means ensure the bar material from a loading magazine.
As such, it is already generally known in the case of Swiss-type automatic lathes to push the remainder of a bar of material that can no longer be processed forward in the feed direction out of the clamping cartridge. In machines of this type, the auxiliary stop, which can be pivoted into its range of motion after a new material bar has been fed in, is also known to limit the forward feed movement of the material bar.
To solve the above-mentioned problem, the automatic lathe according to the invention is characterized in that, after the material has been used up, an actuating device designed as a lifting magnet and acting on the actuating elements of the clamping sleeve, which comes into operation independently of the control shaft, is arranged, and also an adjusting device in Active position bringable auxiliary stop is provided which ends the feed movement of a new material bar inserted into the work spindle.
In this way, a considerable improvement in the workflow of the Swiss-type automatic lathe can be achieved, to the extent that the remaining bar residues cannot be removed from the work spindle, as previously, backwards, but more in the feed direction. With relatively simple structural means, it is possible to let the machine work in fully automatic operation with a loading magazine. Viewed overall, the concept proposed according to the invention thus makes a considerable contribution to the rationalization and increase of the economy of a long automatic lathe.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown. It shows: Fig. 1 an automatic lathe with a bar magazine assigned to it in a front view, Fig. 2 the actuators for opening and closing the clamping bush arranged on the work spindle on a larger scale, Fig. 3 a view of the rocker and steel holder bracket of the long lathe carrying the tool holders 4 shows a cross-section through the bar magazine according to the section line II drawn in FIG. 1, also on a larger scale, FIG. 5 shows the control disc serving to actuate a multi-spindle apparatus, and finally FIG.
6 shows a circuit diagram of the electrical system for controlling the drive motor of the Swiss-type lathe and the two lifting magnets that actuate the clamping bushing and the auxiliary stop.
In the drawing, 1 denotes the machine frame of the long-turning machine tool machine, which has a headstock 2 which can be moved horizontally back and forth on a bed and to which a rocker and steel holder block 3, which always maintains its position, is assigned. To carry out additional work courses, such. B. for attaching an axial hole or threaded hole or the like, the auto mat is also, as usual, equipped with a pivotably mounted multi-spindle apparatus 4 th. A work spindle 6 which can be motorized by means of a belt drive 5 is mounted in the headstock. This carries a clamping sleeve 10 which can be actuated by means of several clamping claws 7, a clamping cone 8 and an axially movably mounted cylinder 9.
For the purpose of actuating the non-rotatably connected to the work spindle 6, the bar material to be machined rotatably entrained clamping sleeve 10 is on a stationary pin 12 of the headstock 2, an angle lever 13 pivotally ge superimposed on one end of the cylinder 9, the other end on a guide 14 engages up and down movable slide 15. In order to enable relative movements of the spin delstocks to the slide 15, the latter is seen with a horizontally extending guide groove 15a, in which a guide pin 13a arranged on the angle lever 13 (FIG. 2) engages positively. On the slide 15, a tension spring 16 engages, which has to strive to always keep the slide in such a position in which the clamping sleeve 10 driving the material rod is closed.
To actuate the slide 15, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 2, a lever 18 rotatably mounted on a stationary pin 17 is provided, one arm of which is in positive engagement with the slide 15. A two-armed pawl 20 is rotatably mounted on the other arm of the lever 18 by means of a pin 19. A positive coupling of the pawl with the lever 18, which is freely movable within certain limits, is achieved in that a recess 20a is provided on the pawl at one end, between the boundary edges of which a pin 18a fastened to the lever 18 is arranged.
As can be seen from Fig. 2 fer ner, on the same axis as the lever 18, a further lever 21 is mounted, which is expediently performed as an angle lever and can be brought into a positive connection at one end by a corresponding fork-shaped design with a pin 20b arranged on the pawl 20 with the lever 18 is.
The above-described actuating elements, which serve to open and close the clamping bushing 10, can be influenced in the usual way by means of a cam drum 23 which is fixedly arranged in rotation on the control shaft 22 of the Swiss-type lathe and in whose axially acting control groove 23a a pin 21a arranged at one end on the lever 21 engages positively .
The design of the control groove 23a is to be made so that at the end of each work cycle, i. H. After completion of the workpiece to be machined, the actuating organs are influenced in such a way that they raise the slide via 15 when the intermediate member formed from the two levers 18 and 21 moves together against the action of the tension spring 16 and thus open the clamping sleeve 10. The closure of the socket he also follows again through the cam drum 23, namely by the fact that the control groove 23a influences the actuating organs in the opposite direction, d. H. the slide 15 moves downwards.
As can be seen in particular from Fig. 3, the above-mentioned rocker and steel holder bock 3 carries several, star-shaped around a material guide 25 arranged tool holders 26 to 30, which during a working cycle of the machine by means of control disks and power transmission, not shown rods one after the other in the working position and can be moved out of these again. One of these tool holders is equipped with a parting tool 30a, the task of which is to cut off the finished workpiece from the material bar at the end of the work process.
If an axial bore with or without a thread is to be made in the workpiece to be machined, this is done with the multi-spindle device 4, which is usually provided on the Swiss-type automatic lathe. To control this apparatus, a control disk 32 arranged on the control shaft 22 and a non-positive contact with this is used held control rod 33, by means of which the pivotable about a horizontal axis multi-spindle apparatus 4 can be moved into the respective working position.
What. the design of the control disk 32 applies, so this can, for example, have a total of three curve sections a, b and c, if, as shown in FIG. For example, a tool spindle 34 fitted with a twist drill, a tool spindle 35 fitted with a thread drill and finally a tool spindle 36 provided with a countersink or the like for the purpose of introducing an axial threaded hole into the workpiece should be used.
The arrangement can be such that the control curve section a of the drilling spindle 34, section b of the tapping spindle 35 and finally the control curve section c of the countersinking drill spindle 36 mediates the coaxial position to the work spindle 6. The meaning of the intermediate section d still seen on the control disk 32 will be explained in more detail below.
On the other hand, there is no need per se to explain that the curve sections lying between the individual sections a and b or c and a represent transitions from one curve section to the other.
At 40, a material guide stand is referred to in the drawing, which is also equipped with a Lademaga zin 41. As usual, a rod 42 is used to advance the material rod 11, at one end of which a switching flag 43 is attached. The latter is under the action of a pull rope 45 provided with a weight 44, which exerts a constant axial thrust on the feed rod 42 and thus on the material rod 11. In addition to the pull cable 45, another endless cable 48, which is guided via pulleys 46 and 47, engages the switching flag 43. A spur gear 49 which meshes with a pinion 51 arranged on the drive shaft of an electric motor 50 is non-rotatably connected to the cable pulley 46.
The task of the electric motor 50 is to automatically transfer the feed rod 42 back to the starting position indicated in Fig. 1 with dashed lines when the pulling weight 44 has pushed the material rod 11 up to a remnant piece through the work spindle 6. While a switch 52 located in the range of motion of the switching lug 43 is provided to switch on the cable pull motor 50 for the purpose of returning the feed rod 42 to the starting position, the other switch 53, which can also be influenced by the switching lug 43, is attached to the material guide stand 40 at the other end the task of stopping the motor when the feed rod 42 is as shown in Fig.
1 has reached the indicated end position. In order to introduce a new material rod 11 from the loading magazine 41 into the guide channel of the material guide stand 40 in this position of the front push rod 42, the magazine can, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 4, with electromechanically actuated retaining or pushing plungers that come into operation automatically 55 be equipped. The operation of this push tappet will always take place, depending on the function, when the switching flag 43 of the motorically retractable feed rod 42 on the scarf ter 53 starts.
A new material rod 11 is introduced into the guide channel of the material guide stand 40, whereupon the feed rod 42 can come to rest under the influence of the weight-loaded tension cable 45 on the face of the inserted material rod facing it.
In order at the end of each work process, i. H. After completion of a workpiece and its parting from the material rod to give it an axial support, it is provided that the parting tool 30a remains in the working position after performing its function until the returning headstock 2 with the clamping bush 10 open and grasped bar material the clamping bush itself has firmly grasped the rod again. If the rod located in the work spindle 2 is used up, so that only a remnant of the rod that cannot be processed further is left, this end must be removed from the work spindle 2.
If you do not want to remove this bar remainder from the work spindle 2, as in the case of the well-known automatic lathes, against the feed direction, but in the direction of the feed forward from the work spindle 2, this measure requires that the parting tool 30a returns from the working position after performing its function In order to give the new material rod 11 introduced into the work spindle 2 the possibility of pushing the Stan genrest out of the work spindle 2, as shown in FIG. For this purpose, the actuating members of the clamping bush 10 are assigned a lifting magnet 58, by means of which the clamping bush 10 can be moved into the open position independently of the function of the control shaft.
This of all things only when the material bar 11, which is sensitive to the work spindle 2, is used up to a leftover piece that can no longer be processed. It is also useful to use the switching flag 43, which is moved with the push rod 42. In its movement path, in addition to the switch 52, a further switch 59 is arranged that applies current to the solenoid 58 when the switching flag 43 starts up. If the remainder of the bar is released by the clamping bush 10, the new material bar 11 which is pushed in must not advance further than the parting tool 30a would allow if it were still in the working position.
For this purpose, a rotatable or axially displaceable guided auxiliary stop 60 is preferably provided on the rocker and steel holder block 3, which is also moved by means of a solenoid 61 into the stop position or out of this again. Since for the purpose of ejecting the remainder of the rod with the actuation of the clamping bush 10, the auxiliary stop 60 can also be brought into standby position, preferably resiliently on the periphery of the remainder of the rod to be ejected, the design of the switch 59 must be made so that both Lifting magnets 58 and 61 in the case. current can be applied to the contact.
In the circuit diagram according to FIG. 6, in addition to the main drive motor M, the two lifting magnets 58 and 61 as well as the switch 59 are shown symbolically. It can also be seen from this that the switch 59 consists of two switching elements, one of which is labeled 59a when the switch is actuated and makes contact with the two solenoids 58 and 61, while the other element labeled 59b consists of the Contact position is moved out, which interrupts the current flow in this line leading to the drive motor M, but does not yet result in the drive motor being shut down.
A switching device 65, which has a capacitor C, a resistor R, a relay L and a normally closed contact K that can be influenced by the latter, can be actuated by the tool holder 30 (parting tool 30a). The switching device is designed and arranged in such a way that when the parting tool 30a runs forward, a contact pin 67 trailing it under the action of a spring 66 actuates a switching flag 68, which finally establishes contact between resistor R and capacitor C, which causes the capacitor C to be charged Consequence.
When the parting tool 30a returns to the starting position, the pin 67 follows first and, after the capacitor C has been charged, the switching flag 68 also follows. If this reaches the contact position originally assumed, the relay L is energized and thus, as will be explained later, the current flow to the main drive motor is interrupted. During this process, the two lifting magnets 58 and 61 are still under tension.
As can be seen from both FIG. 1 and the circuit diagram according to FIG. 6, there is also a wiper contact 70 which is inevitably actuated by the switching flag 43 only when the newly inserted material rod 11 is pushed forward in the electrical circuit. This contact has two switching elements 70a and 70b, of which one element 70a makes contact when actuated and thus again energizes the main drive motor, while the other element 70b interrupts the current flow to the two solenoids 58 and 61 previously maintained by a relay M.
Finally, it can also be seen from the electrical circuit diagram in FIG. 6 that a manually operable switch 71 or 72 is provided for switching the machine on and off. In a parallel circuit to the one in which the manual switch 71 is, a coil S and a fixed contact F existing contactor 73 is provided, the task of which is to maintain the voltage state in the main drive motor after actuation of the manual switch 71 upright receive.
Instead of the working electrical switching device with the parting tool 30a, a switching contact could also be arranged on the control disc, not shown, which always makes contact when the parting tool has reached the starting position. The contactor could also be attached to a special control disk, which is matched in terms of its arrangement to the advance and return of the piercing steel causing control disk.
The method of operation of the above-described Swiss type automatic lathe equipped with a loading magazine is as follows: It is assumed that a material bar 11 is already located in the work spindle of the automatic type Swiss type lathe. If the manual switch 71 of the machine is now actuated, the coil S of the contactor pulls in the holding contact F and thus energizes the drive motor of the machine, whereupon it starts up.
During the work process that now follows, the individual tool holders with their steels are used one after the other, after which each work cycle is finally carried out by tapping the finished machined. Workpiece is ended.
If the workpiece is cut off, the clamping bushing 10 of the work spindle 6 is opened under the influence of the cam drum 23 arranged on the control shaft 22 via the actuators 13 to 21, whereupon the headstock 2 executes a reverse movement to follow up bar material. In this case, the axial thrust exerted on the bar material 11 by the push rod 42 is prevented from advancing by the parting tool 30a which briefly remains in the working position. Only when the clamping bush 10 has gripped the material bar 11 again does the parting tool step back and the work cycle starts all over again.
This process repeats itself until finally the switching flag 43 starts running on the switch 59, which is synonymous with the fact that there is only a remnant piece in the work spindle 6 that is no longer suitable for further processing. With the start of the switching flag 43 on the scarf ter 59 is the switching element 59a contact, whereby the two solenoids 58 and 61 are supplied with current. Simultaneously with this, the contact of the switch element 59b is canceled.
As before, the main drive motor M of the machine continues to run because the parallel connection, d. H. Current is still flowing via the break contact K, which is assigned to the relay L and is built into the line o. Only when the switching device consisting of R, C, 68, L around K is actuated, the switching contact in the line o is interrupted, which happens when the tool holder 30 carrying the parting tool 30a has returned to its starting position is and the relay L has attracted the normally closed contact K after he has charged the capacitor C, the main drive motor M is stopped.
In the meantime, the two lifting magnets 58 and 61 are under tension, which means that the lifting magnet 58 moves the actuators and consequently releases the clamping bush 10, while the lifting magnet 61 brings the auxiliary stop 60 into the ready position. This is to be understood as meaning that the auxiliary stop 60 comes to rest resiliently on the bar remainder that is still guided in the work spindle 6 and in the material guide 25 of the rocker and steel holder block 3.
Since the switching flag 43 has started up immediately after the switch 59 has been actuated, the motor 50 of the material guide stand acting on the cable 48 is put into operation. This has the consequence that the feed rod 42, which is in operative connection with it via the cable 48, together with the switching flag in the position shown in FIG.
1 with dash-dotted lines indicated end position is transferred, wherein the articulated below the switching flag 43 is arranged angle piece 75 ineffectively over the wiping contact 70 slides away. Finally, the switching flag 43 starts at the switch 53, whereby the current flow to the drive motor 50 is interrupted again.
Now the feed rod 42 is again under the pulling action of the pull cable 45, which moves the rod 42 again in the feed direction, until it hits the front of the new material rod 11, which has meanwhile been pushed into the groove of the material guide stand 40 . Due to the axial thrust exerted on the material rod 11 by the feed rod 42, the new material rod 11 is inserted into the working spindle 6.
In doing so, the rod pushes the remainder of the rod that still remains in the work spindle in front of it, until it loses its hold in the material guide 25 of the rocker and steel holder block 3.
Immediately then changes the auxiliary stop 60, which has previously been under spring pressure on the rod remainder, in the stop position over, so that the forward thrust movement of the subsequent new material rod 11 is first ended, as shown in FIG.
From Fig. 1 it can also be seen that the switching flag 43 has actuated the wiping contact immediately before the new material rod 11 led into the work spindle 6 has started at the auxiliary stop 60. The switching element 70b of the wiper contact 70 has thus closed the circuit to the main drive motor of the machine again, while the other switching element 70a has interrupted contact with the relay M connected upstream of the two lifting magnets 58 and 61, which has the consequence that the two lifting magnets 58 and 61 how to de-energize.
This in turn causes. that the clamping bush 10 grips the material bar 11 newly introduced into the work spindle 6, while the auxiliary stop 60 instantly recedes from the stop position.
If workpieces are to be produced with the Swiss-type automatic lathe which, for example, have a threaded bore on the face, the multi-spindle apparatus 4 that is usually present on such machines is used. The control disk 32 illustrated in FIG. 5 brings the tool spindles 34 to 36 stored in the multi-spindle apparatus one after the other via a lever mechanism 33 for the purpose of carrying out the individual operations
in the working position. In order to ensure that the ejection of the rest of the piece is not hindered during the loading process of the machine, it is provided that the control disc has an inter mediate section d which, in accordance with the control disc acting on the cutting tool, always communicates such a position to the multi-spindle apparatus 4 none of the tool spindles of the work spindle of the headstock is coaxially opposite.
