Apparatus for the production of photocopies The present invention relates to an apparatus for the production of photocopies with means for the common transport of an exposed negative sheet and a positive sheet coated or impregnated with fixing agent through a developer liquid filled in a tub.
Photocopiers of this type are known in which the original to be copied is fed past an exposure tube together with the negative sheet, after which the original is ejected and the negative sheet is fed into the developer tray, while the positive sheet is first fed to the negative sheet in the developer tray.
In these known photocopiers, the positive sheet is transported exclusively or mainly by the adhesion between the two sheets when the part of the positive sheet immersed in the developer fluid comes into contact with the wetted part of the negative sheet, the positive sheet being dragged along by the mechanically conveyed negative sheet .
A disadvantage inherent in these photocopiers can be seen in the fact that the two sheets often do not come to lie edge on edge or run more or less diagonally opposite one another, ie. This means that they do not completely coincide, so that the copied text or image area on the positive sheet begins too far below or runs at an angle to the sheet edges.
These disadvantages are now intended to be eliminated by the invention. For this purpose, a pendulum provided with at least one pressure roller or roller is suspended pivotably about an axis in the trough, so that a contact member of the pendulum directed towards the trough bottom protrudes into the conveying path of the negative sheet.
Furthermore, according to the invention, parallel to the pressure roller, at least one mechanically driven transport roller or roller is arranged in the swivel area of the pressure roller in the trough, between which two rollers the conveying path of the positive sheet runs. In the embodiment according to the invention, the negative sheet pushes through the developer fluid or
through the developer tub against the contact element of the pendulum, the pressure roller pressing the previously inserted positive sheet against the transport roller, whereby the positive sheet is reliably transported in the right position and brought into contact with the negative sheet in the right position.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely: FIG. 1 shows a vertical cross section through the parts of the photocopier which are essential for the invention, FIG. 2 shows a section corresponding to FIG. 1 with individual parts in a different position,
3 shows a detail which can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, viewed in the direction of the arrow III drawn in FIG. 2, and FIG. 4 shows a further, additional detail.
In the example shown, 1 denotes the tray of the photocopier intended for receiving the developer liquid. An exposure tube 2 rotatable about its axis is connected upstream of this tub. 3 denotes a mechanically driven transport roller and 4, 5 are two deflection rollers. A conveyor belt 6 runs over all three rollers 3 to 5 and is also acted upon by the rotating exposure tube 2.
7 is a guide plate arranged below the deflection roller 5 for feeding the original to be copied and the negative sheet to be exposed. With 8 and 9, two further transport rollers are designated, of which at least one is mechanically driven.
A pendulum 10 is suspended in the tub 1 such that it can pivot about an axis 11. As can be seen in FIG. 3, the pendulum has two arms 10a and 10b arranged at a distance from one another and parallel to one another, which are connected to one another at the ends facing away from the pendulum axis 11 by a transverse rod 12. On
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Two pressure rollers 13 and 14 are rotatably mounted on this cross bar. The cross bar 12 is also provided with a contact member facing the tub bottom la in the form of a finger 15 protruding from the cross bar. This finger is, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 in side elevation, angled relative to the arms 10a, 10b.
Finger 15 and conveying path 6 enclose an acute angle a which, in relation to the conveying direction, opens to the rear. 1b designates a recess arranged in the area or in the pivoting area of the free end of this finger in the tub bottom la. 16 denotes a transport roller which is parallel to the cross bar and which is connected to a mechanical drive device (not shown). Finally, there is a guide ridge on which the pendulum 10 is suspended pivotably at 11.
In Fig. 4, the original to be copied is denoted by 18, and 19 is the negative sheet to be exposed, while 20 denotes a backing sheet which extends resiliently towards the front edge 20a in an upward bend 20b. The backing sheet 20 is provided with a tab 21 on the underside. The original 18 to be copied is inserted between these tabs 21 and the backing sheet 20, as can be seen in FIG. The negative sheet 19 is then placed on the original 18 and on the cloth 21, with the light-sensitive side facing up.
To produce the desired photocopy, the backing sheet, original and negative sheet are pushed with the edge 20a first between the guide plate 7 and the deflection roller 5 until the edge 20a is captured by the exposure tube 2 rotating in the direction of arrow A and the conveyor belt 6 and transported further. Between the exposure tube 2 and the conveyor belt 6, the sheet 20b of the support sheet is stretched or bent in the opposite direction for a short time.
When leaving the exposure tube 2, the front edge 20a of the backing sheet straightens up again, as shown in Fig. 4, and is now guided along with the original 18 by the guide comb 17 into the dashed line B and finally ejected from the photocopier together with the original, while the exposed negative sheet 19 is guided into the web C by the guide comb 17.
On the way through the tub 1 filled with developer liquid, the front edge of the negative sheet hits the finger 15 and pushes it over a short distance until the negative sheet finally slides under the finger 15. Here, the pendulum 10 in FIGS. 1 and 2 is pivoted clockwise about the axis 11, the rollers or rollers 13, 14 resting against the transport roller 16 with a certain pressure.
Here, the positive sheet 22 previously introduced into the device, as can be seen in FIG. 1, is picked up by the transport roller 16, the positive sheet coming into contact with the negative sheet and then being transported further together with the negative sheet until finally both sheets are removed from the conveyor rollers 8 and 9 are detected and the developer fluid adhering to them externally is squeezed off and flows back into the developer tub, while the positive and negative sheets are ejected together. In FIG. 2, the conveying path of the positive sheet after leaving the transport roller 16 and making contact with the negative sheet is denoted by D.
