Kopfschutz mit Gesichtsschutzband Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Kopfschutz mit einem Gesichtsschutzband, der ins besondere als Winterbekleidung für Kinder bestimmt ist, aber auch von Erwachsenen getragen werden kann. Der Kopfschutz weist ein Gesichtsschutzband auf, wel ches in verschiedenen, das Gesicht bedeckenden Lagen getragen werden kann.
Erwachsene können die neue Kopfbedeckung beim Wintersport oder anderer Freiluftbetätigung mit Vorteil dann tragen, wenn die Witterungsumstände, wie Kälte oder Wind, einen zusätzlichen Schutz der unteren Ge sichtshälfte bedingen. Beispielsweise beim Skifahren, Schlittschuhlaufen oder Eissegeln.
Der erfindungsgemässe Kopfschutz zeichnet sich aus durch die Kombination eines periferen, ringsumlaufen- den, mindestens Stirne, Schläfen, Ohren und Genick bedeckenden Teiles und eines Gesichtsschutzbandes, welch letztgenanntes ein längliches, sowohl in Längs- wie in Querrichtung dehnbares gestricktes Band ist, welches nur an seinen Enden an den einander diametral gegenüberliegenden, die Schläfen bedeckenden Partien des ringsumlaufenden periferen Teiles befestigt und so lang ist,
dass es in nichtgedehntem Zustand mindestens annähernd dem halben Umfang des ringsumlaufenden pe- riferen Teiles entspricht, das Ganze derart, dass das Ge- sichtsschutzband, sowohl in einer ersten rückwärtigen Lage, wobei es die Ohren und den Nacken des Trägers be deckt, als auch in einer zweiten Lage, wobei es die untere Gesichtshälfte des Trägers bedeckt, wie auch in einer wählbaren Zwischenlage zwischen der erstgenann ten und der zweitgenannten Lage getragen werden kann.
In der Zeichnung sind Ausführungsbeispiele des Er findungsgegenstandes dargestellt: Fig. 1 zeigt eine Mütze in perspektivischer Dar stellung in Ansicht schräg von hinten, bei der das Gesichtsschutzband sich in rückwärtiger Lage befindet.

Bei der Ausführung nach den Fig. 1-4 hat der Kopf schutz die Form einer Mütze 10. Vorzugsweise ist sie aus gestricktem Material hergestellt, welches dehnbar oder elastisch ist und sich dem Kopf 11 des Trägers gut anpasst. In gewissen Fällen kann aber die Mütze auch aus nichtgestricktem Gewebe oder anderem Material hergestellt sein, wobei das Gesichtsschutzband 12 dafür sorgt, dass die Mütze fest auf dem Kopf des Trägers sitzt.
In der gezeigten Ausführung besteht die Mütze aus zusammengefügten, eine Einheit ergebenden Teilen 13-17, welche den Scheitel, die Stirne, die Schläfen, Ohren und Nacken des Trägers bedecken. Oben auf der Mütze kann ein dekorativer Troddel 18 und längs der Öffnung kann ein Verstärkungsrand 19 angebracht sein. Wie aus Fig. 4 ersichtlich, bilden die Stirn-, Schläfen-, Ohren- und Nackenteile 14-17 ein endloses Band um den Kopf des Trägers.
Die Mütze 10 ist mit einem länglichen Gesichts schutzband 12 versehen, dessen Enden mittels Näh- nähten 20 an der Mütze befestigt sind. Diese Nähte ver laufen an einander diametral gegenüberliegenden Seiten an den Schläfenteilen 15 der Mütze. Das Band hat eine im wesentlichen rechteckige Form. Es ist von Vorteil, dass das Band aus gestricktem Material hergestellt ist und sowohl in Längs- als in Querrichtung dehnbar ist. Es sollte auch porös sein, so dass es, wenn es sich über den unteren Gesichtsteil des Trägers erstreckt (Fig. 2), die Atmungsluft durchlässt.
Aus den Fig. 3 und 4 ist ersichtlich, dass die Nähte 20 im wesentlichen vertikal und an einander diametral gegenüberliegenden Seiten der Mütze verlaufen. In nicht gestricktem Zustand entspricht die Länge des Bandes etwa dem halben Umfang des unteren Teiles der Mütze. Demzufolge befinden sich die Nähte 20 vor den Ohren des Trägers, so dass, wenn das Band sich in rückwärtiger Lage befindet (Fig. 1) eine doppelte Gewebelage die Ohren des Trägers schützt. Befindet sich das Band 12 in rückwärtiger Lage, dann sind nicht nur die Ohren des Trägers, sondern auch die Rückseite des Kopfes und die obere Halspartie mit einer doppelten Gewebeschicht bedeckt.
Da das Band nicht nur in Längs-, sondern auch in Querrichtung dehnbar ist, kann es leicht nach unten gezogen werden, über den Band der Mütze hinweg, um so dem Nacken des Trägers zusätzlichen Schutz zu gewähren. Fig. 1 zeigt daher die Normallage des ge strickten Gesichtsschutzbandes 12, wenn ein zusätzlicher Gesichtsschutz überflüssig und ein zusätzlicher Ohren schutz erwünscht ist. Beispielsweise beim Skifahren, wenn der Wind von hinten kommt und die Vorwärts geschwindigkeit noch nicht so gross ist um einen Ge sichtsschutz wünschenswert erscheinen zu lassen, wird das Band 12 in der Lage nach Fig. 1 getragen.
Während einer schnellen Abfahrt oder wenn ein eiskalter Wind dem Träger ins Gesicht bläst, kann das Band 12 leicht und schnell in die vordere Lage nach Fig. 2 gebracht werden. Wenn das Band so getragen wird, bedeckt es die untere Gesichtshälfte und das Kinn des Trägers. Man sieht, dass das Band auch die Wangen des Trägers schützt. Wenn erwünscht, kann das Band zudem noch quer gedehnt werden, so dass es nicht nur den Mund, sondern auch die Nase des Trägers bedeckt. Auf diese Weise ist das Gesicht des Trägers mittels des Bandes und der Mütze, an der es befestigt ist, voll geschützt.
Ein besonderer Vorteil liegt darin, dass das Band leicht von der rückwärtigen in die vordere Lage ge bracht werden kann, ohne dass die Mütze abgesetzt zu werden braucht. Dies ist möglich, weil die Bandenden auf der Aussenseite der Mütze befestigt sind. Als Va riante könnte man das Band auch an der Innenseite der Mütze befestigen, wenn es nicht störend empfunden wird, dass die Mütze zum Verstellen des Bandes ab gesetzt werden muss.
Bei der dargestellten Ausführung wird das Band auf die in Fig. 3 dargestellte Weise von hinten nach vorne bewegt. Bei dieser Bewegung muss das Band gewendet werden, wie die unterbrochenen Linien 21 andeuten, da mit in der das Gesicht schützenden Lage (gemäss den un terbrochenen Linien 22) die die Schläfen bedeckenden Teile flach und nicht verdreht aufliegen.
Es dürfte klar sein, dass das Band in der Lage nach Fig. 2 wesentlich dazu beiträgt, die Mütze 10 auf dem Kopf des Trägers zu halten. Die Dehnung des Bandes zieht die Mütze nach unten und nach vorne und drückt den hinteren Teil der Mütze fest gegen den Nacken und den Kopf des Trägers. Dementsprechend drückt das Band, wenn es sich in der Lage nach Fig. 1 befindet, die Teile 14 und 15 an die Stirne und an die Schläfen des Trägers.
Die in den Fig. 5 bis 8 dargestellte Ausführungs form entspricht im wesentlichen der bereits beschrie benen Ausführung. Der Kopfschutz 10' hat aber nicht die Form einer Mütze, sondern diejenige eines endlosen Bandes. Wie die Mütze 10 umfasst das Band 10' Teile 14', 15', 16' und 17', welche die Stirne, Schläfen, Ohren, Hinterkopf und Nacken des Trägers bedecken. Bis auf einen den Scheitel deckenden Teil 13, ist die Kopfbedeckung nach Fig. 5-8 identisch aufgebaut, wie diejenige nach den Fig. 1-4.
Beim Tragen beider Ausführungsformen können Fälle auftreten, wo das Gesichtsschutzband oft von der das Gesicht schützenden Lage in eine andere Lage ge wechselt werden muss. Wie bereits erwähnt, kann das Gesichtsschutzband 12 (oder 12') rasch von der Lage nach Fig. 2 (oder Fig. 6) in die Lage nach Fig. 1 (oder Fig. 5) gewechselt werden.
In solchen Fällen kann das Band 12 oder 12' auch in eine Zwischenlage gebracht werden, wobei es auf der Stirne des Trägers aufliegt wie die unterbrochenen Linien 23 bzw. 23' in den Fig. 2 bzw. 6 andeuten. In dieser Lage bietet das Band einen zusätzlichen Schutz für Stirne und Augenhöhlen des Trägers und kann durch eine einfache Zugbewegung nach unten in eine das Gesicht schützende Lage ge bracht werden, wie die voll ausgezogenen Linien in Fig. 2 und 6 zeigen.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1-4, the head protection has the shape of a cap 10. It is preferably made of knitted material which is stretchable or elastic and adapts well to the head 11 of the wearer. In certain cases, however, the cap can also be made of non-knitted fabric or other material, the face protection band 12 ensuring that the cap sits firmly on the wearer's head.
In the embodiment shown, the hat consists of joined-together, unitary parts 13-17 which cover the crown, forehead, temples, ears and neck of the wearer. A decorative tassel 18 can be attached to the top of the hat and a reinforcing rim 19 can be attached along the opening. As can be seen from Fig. 4, the forehead, temple, ear and neck portions 14-17 form an endless band around the head of the wearer.
The cap 10 is provided with an elongated face protection tape 12, the ends of which are attached to the cap by means of sewing seams 20. These seams run ver on diametrically opposite sides on the temple parts 15 of the cap. The band has a substantially rectangular shape. It is advantageous that the band is made of knitted material and is stretchable in both the longitudinal and transverse directions. It should also be porous so that when it extends over the lower face of the wearer (Fig. 2) it allows breathable air to pass through.
It can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4 that the seams 20 run essentially vertically and on diametrically opposite sides of the cap. In the non-knitted state, the length of the ribbon corresponds approximately to half the circumference of the lower part of the hat. Accordingly, the seams 20 are located in front of the ears of the wearer so that when the tape is in the rearward position (FIG. 1) a double layer of fabric protects the ears of the wearer. If the band 12 is in the rear position, then not only the ears of the wearer, but also the back of the head and the upper part of the neck are covered with a double layer of fabric.
Since the tape is stretchable not only in the longitudinal but also in the transverse direction, it can be easily pulled down over the tape of the hat to provide additional protection to the neck of the wearer. Fig. 1 therefore shows the normal position of the knitted face protection tape 12 when an additional face protection is unnecessary and an additional ear protection is desired. For example, when skiing, when the wind comes from behind and the forward speed is not so great as to make a face protection appear desirable, the band 12 is worn in the position shown in FIG.
During a quick descent or when an ice-cold wind blows the wearer's face, the band 12 can be easily and quickly brought into the front position according to FIG. When worn in this way, the band covers the lower face and chin of the wearer. It can be seen that the tape also protects the wearer's cheeks. If desired, the tape can also be stretched transversely so that it covers not only the mouth but also the nose of the wearer. In this way, the wearer's face is fully protected by means of the tape and the cap to which it is attached.
A particular advantage is that the tape can easily be moved from the rear to the front position without having to remove the hat. This is possible because the ends of the tape are attached to the outside of the hat. As a variant, the band could also be attached to the inside of the hat if it is not perceived as annoying that the hat has to be removed to adjust the band.
In the illustrated embodiment, the belt is moved from back to front in the manner shown in FIG. During this movement, the band must be turned, as indicated by the broken lines 21, since in the position protecting the face (according to the unbroken lines 22) the parts covering the temples lie flat and not twisted.
It should be understood that the tape in the Figure 2 position goes a long way in maintaining the hat 10 on the head of the wearer. The stretch of the band pulls the cap down and forward and presses the back of the cap firmly against the neck and head of the wearer. Accordingly, when in the position of FIG. 1, the band presses portions 14 and 15 against the forehead and temples of the wearer.
The embodiment shown in FIGS. 5 to 8 corresponds essentially to the already described enclosed embodiment. The head protection 10 ', however, does not have the shape of a cap, but that of an endless band. Like the hat 10, the band 10 'includes portions 14', 15 ', 16' and 17 'which cover the forehead, temples, ears, back of the head and neck of the wearer. Except for a part 13 covering the apex, the headgear according to FIGS. 5-8 is constructed identically to that according to FIGS. 1-4.
When wearing both embodiments, cases may arise where the face protection tape must often be changed from the face protecting position to another position. As already mentioned, the face protection band 12 (or 12 ') can be quickly changed from the position according to FIG. 2 (or FIG. 6) to the position according to FIG. 1 (or FIG. 5).
In such cases, the band 12 or 12 'can also be placed in an intermediate position, where it rests on the forehead of the wearer, as indicated by the broken lines 23 and 23' in FIGS. 2 and 6, respectively. In this position, the tape offers additional protection for the forehead and eye sockets of the wearer and can be brought into a face-protecting position by a simple pulling movement downward, as the solid lines in FIGS. 2 and 6 show.
