Die beschriebenen Ausführungsbeispiele der Klar- sichtpackung bestehen sämtlich aus einer einschichtigen schlagzähen PVC-ABS-CopolymerisatHgrtfolie ohne Weichmachergehalt. Da die bisher gebräuchlichen ein- schichtigen Kunststoffolien, soweit sie bislang über haupt Eingang in die Verpackungstechnik gefunden ,haben, ;
Transparent pack The invention relates to a transparent pack made of plastic.
Such transparent packs offer: Compared to conventional cardboard boxes, a number of advantages, in particular the:
Transparency, its associated hygienic properties, its clear storability, weldability and gluability, allowing quick orientation with regard to the contents of the pack without prior opening of the pack,
Aroma neutrality and extensive resistance to aggressive media and moisture should be emphasized.
If, however, see-through packs made of plastic film have not yet been able to establish themselves to the desired extent compared to conventional cardboard packaging, the main reasons for this are to be seen in the lack of foldability,
which excludes flat delivery of the packs and processing on the usual packaging machines.
According to a newer method. (see Chem. Ind.-Verpackung, November 1965, p. 152) can already be made of plastic folding packs on conventional punching presses and delivered flat.
These known see-through packs, however, consist of an elaborate composite film, which consists of a rigid film made of cellulose acetate or polystyrene and a soft film made of z. .B PE or PPE is composed.
During processing, the hard film is: separated at the folding edge to be formed, but the soft film is retained at the separating point and should act as a flexible connecting element between the separated hard film parts.
These known packs can be folded, but their foldability is increased, but: by using a. expensive film material is bought, so that the inevitably higher price compared to corresponding folding cardboard limits the application possibilities of these known plastic folding packs.
In addition, with composite materials: there is always the risk that their layers will loosen at the interfaces, thereby impairing the utility value.
With the invention, a transparent plastic pack, which is made out according to the type of folding cardboard box, is proposed, the characteristic of which is that it consists of a single-layer hard film based on polyvinyl chloride with high impact strength,
which is provided with indented crease lines or cutting lines along the folding edges.
This folding pack can be produced from a simple, single-layer film with the help of conventional cutting and creasing tools in the steel strip cutting process on the conventional punching presses and can be folded extremely easily along the creasing lines.
The transparent pack according to the invention can therefore be delivered flat in a space-saving manner and processed without difficulty by means of conventional packaging machines.
The indented crease lines form easily bendable folded edges which can withstand considerable bending and alternating stresses. Even with several hundred bending cycles it is not possible to
to cause a separation at .the creased lines. The transparent pack according to the invention is distinguished from the known foldable transparent pack by lower material costs.
Commercially available film materials are available for producing the transparent pack according to the invention. A particularly advantageous folding pack is obtained when using a single-layer film made of a plasticizer-free polyvinyl chloride-acrylate-butadane-styrene copolymer.
It has been shown that satisfying folds also result if, instead of creased lines or parts of such interrupted cutting lines, are present.
Such interrupted cutting lines can be used with advantage in particular in the case of inwardly turning folds.
The invention will now be explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings, which show some examples of transparent packaging designed according to the invention, the folding of which is carried out in a manner known in the case of folding cartons.
On a reduced scale: Fig. 1 shows the cut of a simple one-piece transparent pack, Fig. 2 shows the pack in its shape according to Fig. 1 in a parallel perspective view, Fig. 3 shows the cut of part of a two-part pack design,
4 shows the package part folded into its form of use according to FIG. 5 in a parallel perspective representation, FIG. 5 shows the outer part belonging to the package part according to FIGS. 3 and 4, also in parallel perspective, FIG. 6 shows that in its use form:
The transparent part of a two-part box located in a parallel perspective drawing, FIG. 7 the flat folded box part according to FIG. 6 in a top view, FIG. 8 the broken-off shown blank of a complicated one-part transparent package, FIG. 9 the from:
the cut according to FIG. 8 produced the transparent pack, but in a flat folded state and .abbrucher representation and FIG. 10 the transparent pack according to FIGS. 8 and 9 in its parallel perspective shown spatial shape.
In the drawings, creased lines or interrupted cutting lines are indicated consistently in dash-dotted lines, unless they have become body edges through completed folds and are therefore drawn out in solid lines.
Body edges created by folding each bear the reference number; the corresponding crease line existing before the folding, but with an index line. Punch and cut edges hidden by the walls of the box are shown in dashed lines in all drawings, although they are visible because of the transparency of the film.
Irr FIGS. 1 and 2, the film surfaces which form the walls of the finished box are provided with the numbers 1-6 Be. With 7 an adhesive or welding strip is designated. Folding flaps 8 adjoin the walls 1 and 3 and the outer walls 5 and 6 are provided with insert tongues 9.
The creasing lines have the reference numbers 10-16, whereby, for reasons of symmetry, similar creasing lines that are present several times have not been given any reference numbers, as can be seen from the blank illustration according to FIG.
The creasing lines are expediently made, as is known per se for folding cardboard, at the same time as the outer contour is cut into the film. The folding is then expediently carried out so that the indented creasing lines are on the inside,
because this tendency to fold occurs as soon as the creased lines are impressed. The folding can of course also take place in the opposite direction. After the folding on the crease lines 10 to 13, the strip 7 is connected to the wall 1 by welding or gluing,
after which the pack can be closed in a known manner that can be readily derived from the drawing, if necessary after filling.
The F! -. 3 and 4 show a transparent pack part that can be folded into its G - usable form without welding, tacking or adhesive connections. For this purpose, the narrow sides and the bottom of the pack are designed with steep double walls. The numbers 17 to 21 designate the outer walls, while 22 to 26 are assigned to the inner walls.
In Fig.4 are. for the sake of clarity, only the directly visible walls have been numbered. Slide-in flaps 27 connect adjacent outer and inner walls on the narrow sides of the box half with one another.
On the wall 26, a 28 is attached, which is held between tween the walls 17 and 22 and because ver lends its dimensional stability through the box half.
As shown in FIG. 5, the associated outer part consists only of four connected walls 29 to 32, at the front of which the walls 29 and 32 are connected to one another via a welding or adhesive strip 33. Removing the simple structure of this outer part:
, which receives the inner part according to FIG. 4 drawer-like, no blank representation shows ge. Numbers or scoring lines were also dispensed with.
FIG. 6 shows a box part that is open at the top in the drawing, walls 34 to. 38. Walls 34, 37, 36 and 38 are each:
by adhesive or welding strips 39 connected to one another. Creasing lines or interrupted cutting lines 40 are arranged on the walls 34 and 36, specifically on the inner sides of these walls, as a result of which the box half can be folded flat, as is shown in FIG.
The counterpart belonging to this half of the box, taking into account the dimensional deviations required for pushing together, can be made of the same or similar design and, if desired, consist of cardboard.
The one-piece transparent pack shown in FIGS. 8 to 10 has' outer wall surfaces 41 to 44 and smaller wall surfaces 45. Furthermore, tabs 46, pivot folds 47, lid folds 48 and 49 and tabs SO are provided.
The parts 45, 46, 47 and 48 can only be seen once from FIGS. 8 and 9, because the correspondingly mirror-inverted part or folding box was not shown. The tabs:
46, as shown in FIG. 10, are connected to one another and at the same time to the wall 41. The connection: the cover folds 48 and 49 take over the tabs 50. The mentioned connection points are either glued, welded or stapled.
The walls 45, the swivel folds 47 and the cover folds 48 are equipped with creased lines 51 and 52 and 53, respectively, of which the lines 52 are usefully interrupted cutting lines. The creased lines 51 and 53 allow the assembled transparent pack to be folded flat, as can be seen from FIG.
If the transparent pack is brought out of its position shown in FIG. 9 in its three-dimensional shape according to FIG. 10, the pivot folds 47 are pivoted into the inside of the pack and lie against the wall 43, to which they can also be attached.
The exemplary embodiments of the clear packaging described all consist of a single-layer, impact-resistant PVC-ABS copolymer hardened film without plasticizer content. Since the single-layer plastic films commonly used up to now, as far as they have found their way into packaging technology, have;
not on Sbauzpressen or the like. % could be processed into folded packs without separations or embrittlement occurring on the crease lines, it must be regarded as a surprising result that the proposed Foh types behave completely differently,
in which they can be processed practically like cardboard. As the examples described above show, a large variety of different types of pack with folding box character is made possible, as was previously only reserved for folding cardboard boxes.
Such transparent packs offer a wide range of possible uses, for example for the leather, food and luxury goods, tobacco, and for the chemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.
In the case of two boxes, such as 3 to 5, both parts do not necessarily have to be designed according to the invention, rather one of the parts can also consist of cardboard in a conventional manner.
