Kälteisolator in gegenseitigem Abstand voneinander gehaltenen Teilprofilen besteht.
Fig. 1 zeigt zwei Teilprofile 1, 2, deren Schenkelenden 3, 4 zusammen einen Schnappverschluss bilden.
The invention relates to a method for producing a metal profile, especially suitable for window and door frames, of the type consisting of two mutually spaced apart by a machined heat or cold insulator held partial profiles.
The methods of this type that have become known so far have been unsatisfactory. Sometimes it was difficult to carry out, and sometimes the result was not perfect.
According to the invention, these difficulties are eliminated by matching the two partial profiles with one another, then connecting the heat or cold insulator to them and then processing the material of both profiles at their contact point.
To form the heat or cold insulator for certain purposes, it may be advisable to use a plastic known per se, which has only a slight shrinkage due to the addition of a filler. As a result, a change in the overall cross-section of the two partial profiles initially matched to one another can be practically avoided after they have been severed.
When using plastic materials with relatively large shrinkage phenomena, the partial profiles are assembled with the aid of a snap lock, for example, in such a way that they can contract to the required extent under the influence of the shrinkage.
Furthermore, the use of a foam-forming additive to the starting material of the heat or cold insulator is recommended if its all-round contact with the inner surfaces of the partial profiles is desired.
The new method can be carried out particularly expediently when the legs of the two partial profiles to be set against one another form a snap lock with one another, the total width of which preferably corresponds to the separation width.
In addition, it can be advantageous for the cutting process that the legs of the partial profiles that are to be set against one another produce longitudinal ribs for guiding the cutting tools, e.g. Cutter, wear during the cutting process. A particularly good connection of the heat or cold insulator with the two partial profiles can be achieved in that their inner surfaces preferably have baffles below their front end, e.g. each have a dovetail-shaped attachment for anchoring the heat or cold insulator.
This creates an absolutely rigid connection between the profile and the insulator, e.g. Plastic.
In order to prevent damage to the heat or cold insulator when the two partial profiles are cut through, they can have a cross-section widened at the cut point.
Finally, a further development of the two partial profiles used to carry out the new method is seen in the fact that the cross section has an additional cavity in addition to the cavity used to accommodate the heat or cold insulator, which can be used, for example, to hold fittings.
Based on the drawing, the invention is explained as an example.
Fig. 1 shows two partial profiles 1, 2, the leg ends 3, 4 of which together form a snap lock. With its help, the two profiles 1, 2 are matched to one another. Under their front ends, they each wear a chicane in the form of a dovetail-shaped approach 5, 6, with the help of which a heat or cold insulator 7 made of plastic is firmly anchored.
Fig. 1a shows the same profile after the legs of the profiles 1, 2 in the height indicated by the dash-dotted lines 8, given by the snap lock 3, 4 have been processed. It can be seen that the overall height of the profile was not affected by the cutting process. At most, the plastic 7 could have lifted slightly from the inner end faces of the profiles 1, 2. However, this does not change the external installation dimensions of the entire profile.
Figures 2 and 2a show a slightly different embodiment of the two partial profiles 1, 2 again before and after the processing of a snap lock 3, 4. However, a separate, one-sided open cavity 9 is provided in the lower profile, for example to accommodate Fittings can serve. In addition, baffles 13 are attached to the side walls here. The two partial profiles are joined together with a little play in the direction of their vertical section, so that they are pressed firmly against one another when the plastic shrinks. This creates a solid, whole structure. Furthermore, it is graphically indicated in the right half of the profile that the heat or
Cold isolator can also be processed with a foaming agent 10, which ensures that the plastic fes are in contact on all sides with the inner surfaces of the profile.
In Figures 3 and 3a, simpler partial profiles 1, 2 are shown, the leg ends 11, 12 of which are grooved and, accordingly, merely plugged together. The side walls of the profile parts 1, 2 also each have 2 grooves 14 in which the plastic sticks. The separation takes place with two parallel saw blades 15 in such a way that only the tip of these plastic elevations is slightly flattened without the plastic cross section itself being touched by a cutting tool (notch), since the plastics are known to be notch sensitive.
According to FIGS. 4 and 4a, the profiles 1, 2 each form a total of a dovetail-shaped cross-section for the secure anchoring of the heat or cold insulator 7. In this case too, a snap lock 3, 4 is provided. There is also here, as in the embodiment of FIG. 2 and for the same purpose, a game in the direction of the vertical axis of the overall cross-section.
The profiles 1, 2 shown in Figures 5 and 5a, which in turn are equipped with a snap fastener 3, 4 and Schi kanen 13 on the side walls, who pressed against each other if the plastic 7 shrinkage, whereby a rigid connection is obtained. In this embodiment, the profile cross-section is widened over the area of the snap lock 3, 4. If it is processed, the cutting tools, the path of which is again indicated by dash-dotted lines 8, cannot injure the plastic body 7.
Finally, in FIGS. 6 and 6a, a variant of the profile connection is shown which is formed from an open and a closed profile. Here, too, baffles 13 are provided for anchoring the heat or cold insulator 7.
